“Catarina was great! Koda can be difficult at times, but she did not mind. He loved staying there. Catarina was very responsive, accommodating and baked homemade cookies for our dog! I would definitely use her again!”

About: Hello! I have two dogs at home a senior yorkie and a bully who’s a puppy! I love dogs , they’re so sweet and kind. I care for my dogs as if they were my kids, i love all dogs the big and small and i care for my ones at home a lot as well.
“Andrea was great and my dog seemed to have a good stay. She is very communicative and did a good job helping my shy dog warm up to new people. I’d def trust her again!”

“Highly recommend Jack! This was my first time using Rover so I was a little nervous for what to expect but Jack was great, responded quickly, sent videos of Louie every day and just put my mind at ease. Louie seemed to love Jack’s big backyard and was tired from all the exercise and playing while I was away when I picked him up which is always a good sign. Will be using Jack again!”

“I highly recommend Skarlett for anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. She took care of my dog Kingston for the third time and did a fantastic job. Skarlett was attentive, responsible, and made sure Kingston was happy and comfortable while I was away. I received daily pictures and videos. I'm grateful for her services and will definitely be using her again in the future.”

About: I’ve been welcoming other people’s dogs into my home for more than 20 years. It started because I knew firsthand how hard it was to leave my own dog when I traveled. I wanted there to be another option for people like me—people who couldn’t imagine leaving their dog in a kennel but also weren’t comfortable having someone stay in their home. What began as something I offered to friends became something I genuinely love doing. There’s something very special about watching a dog arrive in an unfamiliar place, helping them settle in and trust me, and eventually seeing them stretched out on the couch or curled up beside me as though they’ve always lived here. I still miss them when they go home. I board dogs from only one family at a time because I want their stay to feel less like boarding and more like their own vacation. While they’re here, they live with me as part of my household. I work from home and structure my days around them, so they have plenty of companionship and frequent access to my fully fenced yard. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, from very small dogs to dogs over 100 lbs, as well as puppies and seniors. They’re welcome on my furniture and, if they sleep with their people at home, they’re welcome to sleep with me. I don’t routinely crate dogs, but I’ll maintain a dog’s crate routine if that’s what they’re accustomed to at home. I require a Meet & Greet before accepting a new dog because I want your dog to be comfortable with me, my home and my dog—and I want you to feel completely comfortable leaving them with me. After more than 20 years, the reason I do this hasn’t changed. I want you to be able to enjoy your time away knowing your dog is enjoying theirs, too—living in a home, getting affection and companionship, and being cared for by someone who understands just how much they mean to you. While your dog is in my care, I structure my days around them. I work from home, have my groceries delivered and generally don’t schedule activities that require me to leave them alone. There’s no rigid boarding schedule here—their normal routine becomes part of mine. Whether they want to follow me around the house, nap beside me while I work, play, cuddle or head into the fenced yard, they have companionship throughout the day. While your dog is with me, I treat them as one of my own, with the same love, attention and care I give my own dog. Before a dog stays with me for the first time, I require a Meet & Greet with my dog so we can make sure they’re comfortable together before you leave your dog in my care. I board dogs from only one family at a time, so there aren’t unfamiliar boarding dogs constantly coming and going. My yard is fully fenced, and while your dog is here, I follow your instructions for feeding, medications and normal routines. I don’t crate dogs unless their family specifically requires it as part of their normal routine.
“Anner did an amazing job with my dog Leo. Updates and responses were quick and consistent. The enviroment is loving and nuturing. My dog Leo loved playing in the fenced in backyard. I would definitely use Anner again as well as recommend Anner to other friends and colleagues.”

“We have a very energetic 6 month old puppy who had so much fun she was a lump on the couch for the next 24 hours! She had a great time playing and we got pictures and updates throughout the day”

“Nadine and Daniel did an excellent job caring for our dog for 9 days. Daily updates with photos. Asked permission before making any changes to his daily routine. Deployed his bed, carrier and blanket around their home to give him a choice of comfort locations. Flexible as to time of pickup and drop-off. Could not have been happier with their service. And most important, our dog seemed comfortable while he was there. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe and friendly place to leave their dog.”

“D’Ajah is awesome and we have a very smooth experience. She communicated promptly. Coco enjoyed running around in the backyard and outside trips. We will definitely go back again.”

“Wonderful experience, had to find someone last minute for my girls, Millie and Cali, when I was on a family trip and she was awesome! She updated me everyday and returned everything cleaner than I took it to her. Great experience and grateful for her help.”

“"Catalina stepped in to pet sit Sparky on short notice, and I couldn't be more grateful. She was kind, attentive, and took great care of him. Sparky seemed happy and well-loved when I returned. Highly recommend Catalina for her reliability and genuine care for pets!"”
About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the level of care, patience, and genuine love I bring to every dog I watch. I’ve owned two dogs of my own and have been dog-sitting for family members since a very young age, so caring for dogs has always been a natural part of my life—not just a job. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages and temperaments, including energetic puppies who need structure and play, as well as senior dogs who require a gentler, more attentive approach. I’m more than happy to maintain routines as well as provide consistent potty breaks. I truly love spending time with dogs—whether that’s going on long walks, playing, giving plenty of affection, or simply keeping them company so they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. I treat every dog like my own and make it my priority that they feel loved, exercised, and well cared for at all times. Pet care fits easily into my routine, and I’m able to adjust my schedule to meet each pet’s needs. I make sure dogs get timely potty breaks, walks, playtime, and attention throughout the day. Caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize, so they always receive consistent, attentive care. I care for pets by sticking closely to their usual routine. I make sure they’re fed on time, get regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of attention. I’m patient and attentive with dogs of all ages. My goal is always to create a safe, calm, and loving environment so pets feel comfortable and happy while their owners are away. 🐾
“My dog is usually very scared and timid, but Hailey was amazing with her! Not only was Hailey super accommodating of me reaching out last minute - but my dog genuinely seemed like she enjoyed her time away at Hailey’s house. She was always smiling in photos and super content when I picked her up. We will definitely be booking with Hailey again. (:”

I booked a VERY last minute overnight w Christina O .she was responded to the request immediately , asked specific questions to make sure my dog would be comfortable . My dog was anxious and had a more trouble than anticipated settling in , Christina communicated the issues and asked how to handle it and then figured out what was best for my dog .. and handled it all super which I appreciated .!

They were amazing! I had used another boarding sitter for awhile but they recently moved out of town so was nervous finding another. Received pictures & videos multiple times a day, they have a massive backyard for your pup to run around, and my pups came home happy and tired after my 10 day vacation. Will happily use again!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
