She had a good time with Catarina's very playful dog Truffle. Maggie had never spent time around a cat before, but amazingly she also got along fine with Catarina's very friendly feline Steve. We could tell that Maggie liked being there, because she gave Catarina a lick on the face as we were leaving. We hope that Catarina will be available the next time we need somebody to take care of Maggie for a night.”

About: I’ve taken care of family cats since the age of 5 and when I started living on my own with my previous partner we had three rescued cats together. One of these cats developed diabetes and needed daily insulin shots, and then eventually needed fluid IVs in which I had to learn to take care of since my ex wasn’t okay with the procedure. After our split (2012-2017), he took the cats, but in 2021 when my now-husband, we adopted a rescue cat with a shortened tail and have been dog and cat people ever since! Thankfully I have yet to need to use my medication administering skills on our cat, but we do a very good job at keeping him healthy and happy so it is less likely he will develop diabetes later in his life.

About: I’ve taken care of family and friends pets for free for years, everything from small cats to large pit bulls. I’m a genuine pet lover but due to travel have been unable to have my own so I love the opportunity to help others with their furry companions. Being the oldest of my siblings I was the first to have to take on the pet care chores, and this included both our dogs and our cats, and the other types of animals we had in our household. I have pet care experience with dogs and cats, as well as other pets too. When I moved out on my own with my previous partner (2012-2017) we had adopted three rescued cats, and I was the main administer of the diabetic cat’s insulin and late IV fluid treatments. My ex kept our cats in the split, but in 2018 I adopted my first dog completely on my own. She’s a rescue pit bull mix and now, with my current husband, she is joined by another rescued pit bull mix and a rescued cat. Last year we also adopted a red ear slider turtle off the street in Philadelphia and he now enjoys his aquatic terrarium with his guppy and pleco friends. In 2023 I briefly worked for a dog walking company in Ridgefield and was bit by one of the client’s dogs, unprovoked, and because of that I left the service after being blamed for the outburst and attack (despite telling the owners and the employer that the dog was getting increasingly aggressive with me and I wasn’t comfortable walking him anymore). It was the only time I had ever had an animal turn on me like that and it made me rethink working for a service where I wasn’t listened to or given proper protection. My husband and I have been Rover clients since we moved to Connecticut in 2023 and I am very happy to say we have never had a negative experience, which is why I have decided to lend my services to other pets and families in the area that are in need of an experienced pet caretaker. I am a professional actor so I have days that are marked off for auditions and work or rehearsals, however it is not a consistent time or place. I work throughout the Northeast, NYC, and the Mid Atlantic currently with my acting opportunities, but I am also open to short term travel as well. Because of that, my availability is very open some weeks and not as much on others, depending on what projects I am currently involved in and what the scheduling is like. I would love to spend more time your pets in my downtime and give them the attention they require, since mine are pretty saturated in it regularly. I have two dogs, which are extremely friendly and love other dogs, people, and cats! Our cat is very aloof so they wouldn’t be seen much in cases where pet sitting at my home is needed. Our yard is not fenced in but I am very accustomed to taking them out for walks, or having them leashed under my supervision in our yard. Because I live in Newtown, there are plenty of places to get some quality walks in, and we are also not far from open public dog parks either if that suits your furry friend! I also have my own car which I am more than comfortable transporting your pet in or coming to you for check ins or walks. Our dogs are up to date on vaccines so that is not a worry either, and I am diligent in making sure everyone has a great time when their friends (and our human friends) are over too!
About: I’ve cared for and trained my dog since he was 8 weeks old and feel I have the patience to really get to know an animal and earn their trust. I work full time on week days, but am very flexible during evenings and on the weekends have pretty open availability for walks/pet sitting ! I’m very conscious of any safety concerns around the home as I have a very mischievous dog myself. If I’m concerned about anything, I typically crate my dog until I know he’s safe. I try to always be aware of any body language or behaviors that any dog has that might need to be considered when out and and about. I strive to give your dog the same care that I give my own. The goal is for your dog to have the most happy, safe, and comfortable experience possible!
About: I am a 36 year old woman who loves loves loves animals especially DOGS ! I currently have two dogs, Bennie (whom I've had for 13 years) and Max. This is my first time professionally putting myself out there to take care of others animals, but my experience comes from the love and care i provide my own two little dogs. I've owned a total of 4 dogs and they are beyond amazing. I have a balcony , parks very close by, lots of toys and most importantly patience and love to care for dogs. Please be advised that i work professionally 8-4pm during the weekday, i am normally home by 6:45 pm (i am able to negotiate workable drop off and pick up times) My weekends are free all day Saturday through Sunday. I also own a doggy camera so your dogs will be safe and secured. I love animals and love to host all different types of breeds, big, small, old, puppies you name it. This is an amazing learning experience for me and i have a great understanding for animal behavior. I fully present with the animals. I have enough space in my apartment to provide eating and sleeping sections for dogs that i board. They will be provided with comfort and space to play on a carpeted balcony. They also are walked 3 times per day.

About: I owned my own pet sitting business for six years, and since then I have had two of my own dogs that are family to me. I work out of my house and have a lot of flexibility. For my own dog I walk her twice a day, take her to the beach sometimes or out for a pup cup! I have a fully fenced in yard so if I were to ever provide overnight services any dog would be very safe in my backyard.
