About: I’ve taken care of family cats since the age of 5 and when I started living on my own with my previous partner we had three rescued cats together. One of these cats developed diabetes and needed daily insulin shots, and then eventually needed fluid IVs in which I had to learn to take care of since my ex wasn’t okay with the procedure. After our split (2012-2017), he took the cats, but in 2021 when my now-husband, we adopted a rescue cat with a shortened tail and have been dog and cat people ever since! Thankfully I have yet to need to use my medication administering skills on our cat, but we do a very good job at keeping him healthy and happy so it is less likely he will develop diabetes later in his life.
“Rose was timely and conscientious. She was very caring with our two rescue skittish sister kitties. Came twice a day. 30 minute feeding and scooping visits at breakfast and dinner.”

I’m currently working full time as a registered behavioral technician. I am also receiving my masters part time. I am hoping to work on weekends and 5pm or later on week days. I'm so happy we found this Rover app and found Avery. She was our first dog walker through this app and she helped guide me through the process. We will definitely be calling Avery to help us once she gets back from college. Thank you for being a good human Avery! Kaya can't wait to see you again. 🐶🐾❤️”

“I had a last-minute need for a dog walker and was lucky to find Sabrina. She arrived on time, took my dog on a nice, long walk, and even went above and beyond by putting my trash can back. Communication was excellent. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of family and friends pets for free for years, everything from small cats to large pit bulls. I’m a genuine pet lover but due to travel have been unable to have my own so I love the opportunity to help others with their furry companions. I currently work part-time so I’ll have plenty of time to play with and take care of your pets. I work mostly in the mornings 3-4 days a week. I will not be boarding pets, however in my home we have a fenced in yard that we allow our dogs to play around in under supervision a few times a day and then he is taken on leashed walks at least twice a day.
About: I do have experience of pet care because I myself have my own pet and love to see my puppy Casper meet new dogs. I have about 10 years with pet experience and every time I met a new pet I tend to have a great relationship with each pet. I enjoy going to dog parks and seeing other pets having a good time running around and meeting other dogs. I would love to pursue for my career of being a professional dog walker.
About: I’ve grown up with animals of all kinds from as early as I can remember. Being the oldest of my siblings I was the first to have to take on the pet care chores, and this included both our dogs and our cats, and the other types of animals we had in our household. I have pet care experience with dogs and cats, as well as other pets too. When I moved out on my own with my previous partner (2012-2017) we had adopted three rescued cats, and I was the main administer of the diabetic cat’s insulin and late IV fluid treatments. My ex kept our cats in the split, but in 2018 I adopted my first dog completely on my own. She’s a rescue pit bull mix and now, with my current husband, she is joined by another rescued pit bull mix and a rescued cat. Last year we also adopted a red ear slider turtle off the street in Philadelphia and he now enjoys his aquatic terrarium with his guppy and pleco friends. In 2023 I briefly worked for a dog walking company in Ridgefield and was bit by one of the client’s dogs, unprovoked, and because of that I left the service after being blamed for the outburst and attack (despite telling the owners and the employer that the dog was getting increasingly aggressive with me and I wasn’t comfortable walking him anymore). It was the only time I had ever had an animal turn on me like that and it made me rethink working for a service where I wasn’t listened to or given proper protection. My husband and I have been Rover clients since we moved to Connecticut in 2023 and I am very happy to say we have never had a negative experience, which is why I have decided to lend my services to other pets and families in the area that are in need of an experienced pet caretaker. I am a professional actor so I have days that are marked off for auditions and work or rehearsals, however it is not a consistent time or place. I work throughout the Northeast, NYC, and the Mid Atlantic currently with my acting opportunities, but I am also open to short term travel as well. Because of that, my availability is very open some weeks and not as much on others, depending on what projects I am currently involved in and what the scheduling is like. I would love to spend more time your pets in my downtime and give them the attention they require, since mine are pretty saturated in it regularly. I have two dogs, which are extremely friendly and love other dogs, people, and cats! Our cat is very aloof so they wouldn’t be seen much in cases where pet sitting at my home is needed. Our yard is not fenced in but I am very accustomed to taking them out for walks, or having them leashed under my supervision in our yard. Because I live in Newtown, there are plenty of places to get some quality walks in, and we are also not far from open public dog parks either if that suits your furry friend! I also have my own car which I am more than comfortable transporting your pet in or coming to you for check ins or walks. Our dogs are up to date on vaccines so that is not a worry either, and I am diligent in making sure everyone has a great time when their friends (and our human friends) are over too!
About: I’ve cared for and trained my dog since he was 8 weeks old and feel I have the patience to really get to know an animal and earn their trust. I work full time on week days, but am very flexible during evenings and on the weekends have pretty open availability for walks/pet sitting ! I’m very conscious of any safety concerns around the home as I have a very mischievous dog myself. If I’m concerned about anything, I typically crate my dog until I know he’s safe. I try to always be aware of any body language or behaviors that any dog has that might need to be considered when out and and about. I strive to give your dog the same care that I give my own. The goal is for your dog to have the most happy, safe, and comfortable experience possible!
About: I have grown up having pets, so I understand how they become part of the family and the importance of having someone trustworthy to take care of them. I have been pet sitting for families throughout Fairfield County and New Haven County over the last six years. Whether your dog is small or large, needs special food or medication, likes long walks or just playing in the backyard, I have experience with it all! During the summer, I will be available for all pet care needs! Let’s create a schedule that best aligns with my part time job and your pet’s routine. I make sure your pet is cared for in the same way I would look after my cats and dog, with plenty of affection, exercise and treats! I do my best to follow their routine while you are away, ensuring your pet feels comfortable and loved.

About: I’m a young adult who misses her dog and works from home, so your pup will get plenty of attention throughout the day :) I live in StuyTown and am happy to provide walks, drop-ins, boarding, and lots of care and cuddles. I treat every dog like they’re my own! I have references if needed, your dog will be in great hands! I have a flexible schedule, and although my work calls may vary weekly, I’m usually available. My walks are 30 minutes minimum, and I always make sure to have water ready after every walk.
About: My family has had one or more dogs since I can remember; big and small, calm and active! Taking care of animals is one of my passions, not only does it benefit the pet to receive attentive and genuine care, but it’s awesome to spend some time bonding with animals personally! I’m currently working part time and going to be starting school, open to boarding on weekends but can do checkins, sit ins, walks etc. Anytime I’m free, I LOVE walking/hiking so will always be willing to take your pet on a nice walk. I have a fenced in yard, and one other small female dog. I also own 2 ferrets which free roam in the basement (the only off limits area). The yard is completely fenced so the pet will have access to the entire yard and also access to house.
About: Hello! My name is Taylor, and I’ve been around animals my entire life. From dogs and cats to small animals, I’ve had the privilege of caring for a variety of pets over the years. I have experience with grooming tasks like nail trimming, bathing, and basic hygiene, and I’m always open to learning more about your pet’s specific needs. I also have a background in basic training, both with my own animals and others. Whether it’s reinforcing commands or working on behavioral improvements, I’m patient and committed to making sure your pet feels loved and secure while you’re away. I’m a proud dog mom to my boxer/Dalmatian mix, Shyla, who’s a friendly, energetic pup. I know firsthand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and caring to look after your furry family members. Your pet will be treated like one of my own, with plenty of love, playtime, and attention. I’m flexible with schedules, willing to accommodate special requests, and always keep communication open to provide updates on how your pet is doing. Let’s work together to make sure your pet has the best care possible while you’re away! Since I work from home, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. My flexible schedule allows me to take regular breaks for walks, playtime, and feeding, ensuring your pet is well cared for and never lonely. In both my home and clients’ homes, I ensure pets have a safe place, comfortable environment, providing regular walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of affection.
About: I previously co-founded a dog training business, managing client relationships and operations, but I have since stepped away from it. Prior to that, I worked for Coaching for Paws, a renowned dog training business in northern Connecticut. I have been working with dogs for around five years and have experience with training basic obedience, dog walking, dog sitting, and overall care. I currently have most weekdays free to dedicate to your pups’ needs, which allows me to provide consistent attention, care, and companionship throughout the day. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that means going on walks, playing, feeding, or simply keeping them company. Because of my flexible schedule, I am able to accommodate different care needs and maintain reliable routines for pets, helping them feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while their owners are away. I have lots of experience with different dogs and understand the needs of dogs and owners. I am able to meet any needs or criteria.

“Marilyn is WONDERFUL!!! She sent daily pictures and videos of my pup playing outside and snuggling. I never worried about my pup while she was in her care. My dog takes medication as well, and Marilyn had no issues administering the medication.”

“Our St. Bernard puppy had a blast at Gwynne’s! We got regular updates with lots of pictures and felt great knowing how much love she was getting while we were away. Looking forward to having Ellie stay again in the future!”

“Valeria was an incredible host for Ziggy! She was super communicative and took great care of him - I’ve already got my next booking scheduled. The ONLY downside is I think he likes her more than me now.”

“Charlotte was amazing and we will absolutely use her again! Our older boy had a bunch of different medicines to take at different points throughout the day and she was so organized and great with communication. She even went out to multiple stores to find the right low fat wet food he ran out of! Thank you Charlotte!”

“She was very nice with my dog. He had a wonderful time playing with dogs in her house. She took special care in the night as my dog is new to pet sitting. He ate, slept and played well.”

“I had a great worry-free experience with Jack. He has a nice yard that is fenced in. My dog was not anxious staying with him and he usually gets stressed out easily. Jack let my dog sleep in the finished basement, which was very nice. I would recommend Jack.”

About: I’ve been welcoming other people’s dogs into my home for more than 20 years. It started because I knew firsthand how hard it was to leave my own dog when I traveled. I wanted there to be another option for people like me—people who couldn’t imagine leaving their dog in a kennel but also weren’t comfortable having someone stay in their home. What began as something I offered to friends became something I genuinely love doing. There’s something very special about watching a dog arrive in an unfamiliar place, helping them settle in and trust me, and eventually seeing them stretched out on the couch or curled up beside me as though they’ve always lived here. I still miss them when they go home. I board dogs from only one family at a time because I want their stay to feel less like boarding and more like their own vacation. While they’re here, they live with me as part of my household. I work from home and structure my days around them, so they have plenty of companionship and frequent access to my fully fenced yard. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, from very small dogs to dogs over 100 lbs, as well as puppies and seniors. They’re welcome on my furniture and, if they sleep with their people at home, they’re welcome to sleep with me. I don’t routinely crate dogs, but I’ll maintain a dog’s crate routine if that’s what they’re accustomed to at home. I require a Meet & Greet before accepting a new dog because I want your dog to be comfortable with me, my home and my dog—and I want you to feel completely comfortable leaving them with me. After more than 20 years, the reason I do this hasn’t changed. I want you to be able to enjoy your time away knowing your dog is enjoying theirs, too—living in a home, getting affection and companionship, and being cared for by someone who understands just how much they mean to you. While your dog is in my care, I structure my days around them. I work from home, have my groceries delivered and generally don’t schedule activities that require me to leave them alone. There’s no rigid boarding schedule here—their normal routine becomes part of mine. Whether they want to follow me around the house, nap beside me while I work, play, cuddle or head into the fenced yard, they have companionship throughout the day. While your dog is with me, I treat them as one of my own, with the same love, attention and care I give my own dog. Before a dog stays with me for the first time, I require a Meet & Greet with my dog so we can make sure they’re comfortable together before you leave your dog in my care. I board dogs from only one family at a time, so there aren’t unfamiliar boarding dogs constantly coming and going. My yard is fully fenced, and while your dog is here, I follow your instructions for feeding, medications and normal routines. I don’t crate dogs unless their family specifically requires it as part of their normal routine.
“Anner was great with his our pup Amigo! Very sweet and responsive. Loved seeing how happy Amigo was playing with other pups during his stay , he really enjoyed himself!”

“Nadine and Daniel did an excellent job caring for our dog for 9 days. Daily updates with photos. Asked permission before making any changes to his daily routine. Deployed his bed, carrier and blanket around their home to give him a choice of comfort locations. Flexible as to time of pickup and drop-off. Could not have been happier with their service. And most important, our dog seemed comfortable while he was there. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe and friendly place to leave their dog.”

“D’Ajah is awesome and we have a very smooth experience. She communicated promptly. Coco enjoyed running around in the backyard and outside trips. We will definitely go back again.”

“"Catalina stepped in to pet sit Sparky on short notice, and I couldn't be more grateful. She was kind, attentive, and took great care of him. Sparky seemed happy and well-loved when I returned. Highly recommend Catalina for her reliability and genuine care for pets!"”
“My dog is usually very scared and timid, but Hailey was amazing with her! Not only was Hailey super accommodating of me reaching out last minute - but my dog genuinely seemed like she enjoyed her time away at Hailey’s house. She was always smiling in photos and super content when I picked her up. We will definitely be booking with Hailey again. (:”

“Taylor is phenomenal. I felt like i was there every step with my puppy. I know Chanel fell in love with her and felt safe. I appreciate Taylor for keeping me updated and keeping my little babe happy and comfortable.”
