“I had my dog, Dodger stay at Lynn's house for one night recently, and I couldn't have been happier. I recently adopted a very friendly and sweet, but very nervous, scared mutt and was worried about leaving him with someone he didn't know. I had a meet and greet with Lynn prior to my night away, and her sweet dog, Doris, and immediately I knew Dodger would be fine. Doris is a great doggie host and Dodger immediately started playing with her. The night of his stay, I got a text from Lynn updating me that Dodger ate dinner and relieved himself - neither of which he does if he's even slightly nervous so I knew he was doing just fine. It was so nice not to worry about him. When I picked him up after his overnight, he was frolicking with Doris in Lynn's fenced in backyard and having a great time. I highly recommend Lynn. She's super friendly, flexible and laid back. Her pup, Doris is full of energy and nothing but fun for doggie guests. Lynn's son lives with her and is excellent with dogs as well. I will definitely book again!”
“Rusudan provided excellent care for my boy Stax. Stax is a senior dog who requires medication and also has some mobility issues, due to his arthritis. Rusudan cared for him, as if he were her own. Tending to all of his needs. Rusudan provided me updates throughout the day helping to reassure me that he was well taken care of. Stax had an amazing time and we will be sure to rebook with them.”

About: Fair warning: Pets are a little spoiled in my house! 😊 I've cared for animals my entire life and have experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I've cared for my own senior dog throughout her final years, large and small breed dogs, rescue kittens, and adult cats, including raising my own two cats since they were kittens. I've trained all of my own pets and understand the importance of consistency. If your pet has specific routines, commands, or training practices you'd like maintained, I'm happy to follow them closely so their progress and structure continue seamlessly while they're in my care. I have a genuine soft spot for animals, and every pet in my care receives the highest quality treatment. Whether your furry friend enjoys treats, walks, playtime, or cuddles, they'll receive plenty of love, attention, and personalized care and are sure to have a great time while you're away. The day is dedicated to taking care of the fur babies. I'm available 7 days for check-ins, walks, home visits, and boarding. Let's connect and set up a time! My home is a relaxed space for cats or dogs to roam freely. My community offers a fenced in dog park and in my unit I have plenty of vertical space for your cat to rule over, including 2 cat towers and plenty of enrichment toys. I also have a catio on my balcony for some fresh air. If needed, I will separate my cats from more reactive animals while in my care.
“Diana was amazing with Cobie and so kind! Her and her family took great care of Cobie and I could tell Cobie loved having all the little kiddos looking after her and to hang out with. Diana was really attentive and sent lots of photos and updates which I really appreciated - felt great knowing Cobie was settled in and and being well taken care of. Will definitely be reaching out again next time I go out of town!”

“Ivon was very responsive planning the stay and then kept us updated with pics throughout our dog’s stay. She also worked around our schedule for drop off and pick up, which was hugely helpful.”
“I had a great worry-free experience with Jack. He has a nice yard that is fenced in. My dog was not anxious staying with him and he usually gets stressed out easily. Jack let my dog sleep in the finished basement, which was very nice. I would recommend Jack.”

“We're so happy to have found Claudia! Georgia always has a great time and loves the attention and playtime she gets when she's at Claudia's. It's a relief knowing that she's in good hands when we can't be with her. ”

“Thank you John and Pizza for keeping an eye on my 3 month old German shepherd. John took exceptional care of Jinx and sent over the most lovely videos and photos of what was going on which kept me at ease. It’s so important to feel worry free when leaving your beloved dog with someone and I am so glad I have found just that. Thank you again John we love you!!”
“I was immediately impressed with Destiny! She had a small dog of her own and I didn't even know it. Her home was clean and you couldn't tell other dogs had been in the house. She immediately made my pup feel comfortable ,which made us feel comfortable. She sent us pictures daily at least 2x a day of our pup and sent detailed short messages for checking up. She gave him the attention he needs, as he is a social pup and loves people. He got a chance to mingle with other dogs and when he went to pick him up, he was still playing. She was personable and friendly and always available for messaging.”

About: I've taken care and spent time with many breeds dogs, and have experience with drop-in visits, pet sitting, pet boarding, and dog walking. I have also trained my dog to follow simple commands such as "sit", "lay down", "shake", and "turn around" and have taught my dog and both my cats to come when they are called. I am back from college for the summer and have a very open schedule, so I have lots of time to spend with your pets! I have a big yard and live in a very walkable area. I have two cats and a little dog that all get along well with other animals.
“There aren’t enough words to state my gratitude to Valeria for watching my Luna Bear. She is the perfect sitter. I had a last min work trip and she came through for me. She was so attentive to Luna and sent pics, videos, did FaceTime and my Luna looked like she didn’t want to come home lol. She is my go to if I ever have to travel or need Luna to be watched. I will be booking with her again very soon. So grateful to have found her ☺️”

“Catarina did a great job taking care of our Catahoula Leopard dog. There's a large yard with a pond at Catarina's place in Redding, so Maggie felt very comfortable. She had a good time with Catarina's very playful dog Truffle. Maggie had never spent time around a cat before, but amazingly she also got along fine with Catarina's very friendly feline Steve. We could tell that Maggie liked being there, because she gave Catarina a lick on the face as we were leaving. We hope that Catarina will be available the next time we need somebody to take care of Maggie for a night.”

Great overall experience! Thank you Jack for taking such wonderful care of our energetic baby Rex. Thank you also for the daily updates and videos, it was most comforting being so far away and being away from him for the first time. I would reach out again to Jack/Rover immediately if we are ever in need again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
