“Laura, Carolina and Enrique were very welcoming of Nora. They took really good care of her. It was her first time here and she loved their backyard. Nora is a mini aussie who loves to run and their backyard was perfect for her.”

“My dog had a fantastic time at Jodie’s — her dogs were very friendly and he fit in immediately, and he definitely had a great time playing with them because he slept hard when he got home! He’s a rescue and can be a little touchy sometimes, but when I picked him up he was snuggled up in Jodie’s arms like she was his new best friend.”

“My cat had an excellent time boarding here. They had a fantastic space and took great care of him. They are very experienced in cat care, and were very nice, flexible and responsive. They sent plenty of photos and videos and status updates throughout his stay so I was very confident he was well taken care of. I would highly recommend Hazard and will be booking again!”

“Julie was very nice and quick to respond to any questions we had before or during our dog’s stay. She even sent some updates to let us know our dog was having a good time. Definitely recommend using her!”

“Charlotte was amazing and we will absolutely use her again! Our older boy had a bunch of different medicines to take at different points throughout the day and she was so organized and great with communication. She even went out to multiple stores to find the right low fat wet food he ran out of! Thank you Charlotte!”

“Lula had a great time with Andrea and came home exhausted from playing with the other dogs. This was a great opportunity for Lula to gain social skills with both dogs and people.”
“Jay was great with my dog while I was gone for 10 days. He gave regular photo updates and was very responsive to any and all questions. He even was a good sport when my (female) pup went into heat a bit earlier than expected. I'd absolutely recommend Jay.”

“Kathryn took such good care of Marley! She sent me updates every day and pictures! So happy to have found such a reliable, flexible, and easy to communicate with sitter for our fur baby!”

“Anner is very professional. He is flexible with time changes to pick up and drop off. He also takes great care of my pup when he is there. Even lightly grooming him smelling fresh and trimmed nails. Highly recommend to anyone looking for dog assistance.”

“I am so fortunate and grateful to have picked Marilyn to watch over our dog Peanut. When Peanut became sick, Marilyn took extraordinary steps to help her that I could never have expected. She was super supportive and communicative, sharing photos and updates every day! Peanut is recovering very well thanks to Marilyn's excellent care. Marilyn is the best boarder we have worked with and I would love for Peanut to stay with her again. Your dog will be safe and wonderfully cared for in her hands. 5 stars and A+ experience! Thank you so much Marilyn!”

“Thank you Gwynne for taking such good care of our Golden. This was our first experience with Rover and it was perfect! We would definitely recommend Gwynne and return!!! A+++++ 🦮🐾”

“Irene was awesome, very good vibes, a peaceful home setting & my Shih Tzu loved staying with her, playing in her big enclosed yard & going on walks with her, etc. while we were on our family cruise. My fur baby was in good hands with her & I'll definitely board her with Irene the next time we go away!”

“I had my dog, Dodger stay at Lynn's house for one night recently, and I couldn't have been happier. I recently adopted a very friendly and sweet, but very nervous, scared mutt and was worried about leaving him with someone he didn't know. I had a meet and greet with Lynn prior to my night away, and her sweet dog, Doris, and immediately I knew Dodger would be fine. Doris is a great doggie host and Dodger immediately started playing with her. The night of his stay, I got a text from Lynn updating me that Dodger ate dinner and relieved himself - neither of which he does if he's even slightly nervous so I knew he was doing just fine. It was so nice not to worry about him. When I picked him up after his overnight, he was frolicking with Doris in Lynn's fenced in backyard and having a great time. I highly recommend Lynn. She's super friendly, flexible and laid back. Her pup, Doris is full of energy and nothing but fun for doggie guests. Lynn's son lives with her and is excellent with dogs as well. I will definitely book again!”
“Claire was wonderful hosting my little Yorkie for two full days while I was away. He was in great hands!! She was caring, loving and super patient with him. I received very detailed updates about his stay and he was super relaxed when getting back home. Thank you so much Claire! 🐾”

“Diana & Christopher were wonderful - they welcomed our dog Luna into their home on short notice and took such good care of her. We received updates and pictures the entire time we were away. Would definitely book again and recommend their home!”

“The best with my girl Persephone. She was able to take her in very last minute and was very very flexible. I really appreciate all of her help and the way she was with Persephone during this tough transitional period. Loved all the pictures and videos she sent and I noticed that Persephone became less stressed overtime which I love. Highly recommend Madalys to everyone!”

“Catherine was wonderful with Josie, she attended to every one of her needs and treated her like the true diva that she is! She gave her her drops, her eye drops three times a day on schedule, sent me pictures and videos. I was hoping Josie would a still wanna come home with me and not stay with Catherine.!!!Sue w.”

Great overall experience! Thank you Jack for taking such wonderful care of our energetic baby Rex. Thank you also for the daily updates and videos, it was most comforting being so far away and being away from him for the first time. I would reach out again to Jack/Rover immediately if we are ever in need again.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
