About: I am now retired and have total availability. For walks or drop ins I need to keep my service area within 5-7 miles. For longer stays I am willing to expand my area upon request. I began my pet care as a child, taking home every stray dog I saw. Nursing sheep, stray cats, bunnies, you name it. I was then a vet tech, rescue foster, and sitter. As my life has changed my love for, and enjoyment of caring for pets has not. I bond well with animals, and have the experience to know when firmness is required. I will always care for your animal as i would my own. ( spoiled ) I have a good availability and experience with all ages of pets. Including training to elderly animals who need special care. I am comfortable administering meds, and dealing with unique or special circumstances. Finally, I am reliable. You can rest assured that your baby will be well cared for. when I house sit I will keep your place clean daily. If you desire addition plant care or whatever, just ask. I am retired. This gives me great availability to care for your pet. I can adjust my schedule to fit your needs. At times I prefer overnights at your place so as to not disturb my husband. I have a fenced yard. About: Ive been working with and caring for dogs for 27 years and its really all i do all the time! My background is in dog grooming and obedience training and natural/holistic care. i run a grooming shop so after opening up and checking in clients i come home to hang out with dogs and garden and work on projects and do my administrative work. i live alone so it is just me and the dogs and i schedule my life according to my care taking needs:) i have a large fenced in yard with extra safety gates in place and the dogs get to hang outside with me while i garden and lounge.

“To say we were satisfied with the care Alyssa gave our little Max would be an understatement. We were camping in New Orleans and had events happening that would take us away from our motorhome for over 9 hours for a few days and did not think it wise to leave our small dog alone for so long so we needed to think of something. So for the first time we turned to the ROVER app. As this would be the first time we left our boy with a stranger we were very concerned but We had a meet and greet ahead of the actual dog sitting and it went so well …. we felt at ease right away with Alyssa and her own dog. Our Max and Alyssa’s Oliver hit it off right away … she is a wonderful person full of love, caring and is extremely pleasant. The second day we went to drop Max off he actually pulled me to her door and sat there waiting for her to open the door and when she did open the door he ran in as if he was home already. This experience was so wonderful. We are certain a big part of that has to do with how nice a person Alyssa is. Sending pictures throughout the days was an added bonus for us!
