“It can be hard to find sitters willing to help with challenging dogs, and I have a very sweet pup who, unfortunately, has some separation anxiety that means she can’t be left home alone at this point. Julia agreed to watch her for some daycare while my husband and I attended a family birthday party, and she also was great about setting up a Meet and Greet about a week beforehand so that Sable could be introduced to Julia and her own pups. Julia sent pictures and updates while we were away, and I appreciated her honesty when I asked how Sable did. It seems as though Sable was only mildly embarrassing and didn’t put Julia through too much hassle, so I’m very grateful to have someone trustworthy and kind to leave my pup with! “To say we were satisfied with the care Alyssa gave our little Max would be an understatement. We were camping in New Orleans and had events happening that would take us away from our motorhome for over 9 hours for a few days and did not think it wise to leave our small dog alone for so long so we needed to think of something. So for the first time we turned to the ROVER app. As this would be the first time we left our boy with a stranger we were very concerned but We had a meet and greet ahead of the actual dog sitting and it went so well …. we felt at ease right away with Alyssa and her own dog. Our Max and Alyssa’s Oliver hit it off right away … she is a wonderful person full of love, caring and is extremely pleasant. The second day we went to drop Max off he actually pulled me to her door and sat there waiting for her to open the door and when she did open the door he ran in as if he was home already. This experience was so wonderful. We are certain a big part of that has to do with how nice a person Alyssa is. Sending pictures throughout the days was an added bonus for us! About: I grew up raising dogs and cats in my household. Since 2010 I've adopted pets on my own, cats and a dog. I currently have one cat I rescued as a kitten three years ago and a dog who loves to play that I rescued 2 years ago from a shelter. I only watch one dog at a time, so you can rest assured that I will treat your dog as if they were my own. Since I work remotely, your dog won’t be left alone much and will get attention throughout the day. I make sure to follow whatever routine helps your dog feel most comfortable. Happy to send you photos and updates throughout the day as well. I’m flexible with pickup and drop off times. I will be with your pup all day, and they’ll get plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s routine. If they’re a high energy dog, they’ll get long walks. If they’re a senior or low energy, I’ll take them on shorter walks or just let them sniff in the yard.

About: I am now retired and have total availability. For walks or drop ins I need to keep my service area within 5-7 miles. For longer stays I am willing to expand my area upon request. I began my pet care as a child, taking home every stray dog I saw. Nursing sheep, stray cats, bunnies, you name it. I was then a vet tech, rescue foster, and sitter. As my life has changed my love for, and enjoyment of caring for pets has not. I bond well with animals, and have the experience to know when firmness is required. I will always care for your animal as i would my own. ( spoiled ) I have a good availability and experience with all ages of pets. Including training to elderly animals who need special care. I am comfortable administering meds, and dealing with unique or special circumstances. Finally, I am reliable. You can rest assured that your baby will be well cared for. when I house sit I will keep your place clean daily. If you desire addition plant care or whatever, just ask. I am retired. This gives me great availability to care for your pet. I can adjust my schedule to fit your needs. At times I prefer overnights at your place so as to not disturb my husband. I have a fenced yard. At your home or mine we get plenty of potty breaks, walks, and play. I only leave the house to go to the store or appts.
