About: Many years in the veterinary medicine field has shaped my skills for medicating and treating pets of all shapes and sizes, but I have had a love for animal behavior and the unspoken relationships with them for as long as I can remember! I look forward to creating and nurturing a relationship with all the animals I meet, as well as their owners. I pride myself on the attention to detail I provide in my care, and can’t wait to spend some time with your pets! I am currently working part time, and would love to spend some time with your pets on my off days. Available for some morning and evening walks through the week as well! Mainly looking to do walking and drop in visits that work with my part time schedule. I am more than willing to discuss stay in home sitter care for the right cases! :)

“Kristen was so great! She left fabulous notes about her visits and my cats seemed very content and well cared for. She drove very far to take care of my kitties and so couldn’t be more grateful”

“Nicole was wonderful!! She took great care of our 2 pups while we were at a wedding. She was super responsive, took lots of great photos and was so appreciative and understanding of our dogs’ quirks. You can tell she is an animal whisperer & the dogs took to her right away. Would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I have helped owners with dog sitting/walking in the Traverse City area. I've had my dog and cat business for 5+ years and I spend my time with special dogs and cats during the day, overnights or on weekends. I cared for my two dogs until they passed away. Now I have time to devote to other pets who need my support. I have time in my life to care for your lovely dogs, walking them during the week and watching them for overnights on the weekends As my yard is not fenced in, I prefer to go to clients home to help out. I have a reliable vehicle and could come and visit

About: We are a married couple who have experience raising 3 active German Shorthair Pointers. I’m a teacher and my husband, James, works his IT job remote which allows us to have flexibility with letting dogs out and walking at various times of the day. We have experience with administering medication to dogs and caring for senior dogs as well. We love exploring the outdoors while camping and fishing. You can catch us on the water any chance we get. We also love spending time at home with our fur babies, Striker and Daisy. They keep us on our toes and make life fun! I’m a teacher and my husband works his job remote which allows us to have flexibility with letting dogs out and walking at various times of the day. I have availability all days and times during summer months and after 4:00 pm during the school year. James has more flexibility and is available to help any day and most times. We provide drop in services and dog walking. Our dogs are friendly but we’d leave them at home and focus on your pups while you need us. I am allergic to cats so prefer homes without just to be on the safe side.
About: Hello, and welcome to the Pup's Place, your dog's home when you're away from home. I have experience in dog walking and sitting, whether it be at your place or mine. My experience lies primarily with small and medium sized breeds but I can provide care for large breeds (40-100 lbs). I'll be honest, I joined Rover as a way to experience all the joys that a dog brings in life after losing my best friend who lived to 21 years old. I'm not ready to get another dog so I hope that caring for yours as I have cared for mine all her life can fill the hole inside my heart, as well as put you at ease knowing your dog is receiving the utmost love and care we both know they deserve. As for availability, I work full time midnight shifts (7pm-7:30am) at the hospital, 3 days a week. I can work around my schedule to meet your needs. Please feel free to message me with questions regarding availability. I look forward to working with you! I work full time at the hospital (3 days a week). My schedule is flexible, so I am able to meet your needs. I can stop by before and after work and if you live near the hospital, I will be able to stop by on my lunch break (2am) if overnight care is needed. I have a fenced in yard, spacious living room and bedroom areas for your babies to hang out, relax, and play. Pets are allowed on the furniture and bed. I do have 2 cats who have experience living with small and medium sized breeds of dogs
“Marissa took great care of our two cats during our weekend away. She charmed even our shy kitty during the intro visit and gave us the peace of mind that they’d have good company while we were away. Thank you Marissa for treating our babies like your own!”

About: Hi, I’m Aubrey 👋 I offer calm, attentive, in-home pet care designed to help your pets feel safe, comfortable, and completely at ease while you’re away. I specialize in multi-pet households and have a natural ability with animals who need a little extra patience—whether that’s senior dogs, shy personalities, or pets who are used to a slower, more grounded environment. • 10+ years of experience with a wide range of temperaments • Especially attuned to anxious, sensitive, or senior pets • Experienced with multi-pet homes and complex routines • Respectful, clean, and mindful in clients’ homes • Consistent updates so you always feel connected and reassured 📸 I’m not just here to “watch” your pets—I create a steady, comforting presence so their routine and emotional world stay intact. Pet care is a central part of my daily life, and I intentionally keep my schedule spacious so I can be fully present with the pets in my care. I prioritize consistency, calm routines, and quality time—especially for pets who thrive on familiarity and one-on-one attention. All bookings, communication, and payments are handled through Rover for ease and peace of mind 🐾 Your pet’s emotional and physical safety are my top priorities. I’m especially mindful with: • Senior pets who need slower pacing or extra care • Shy or anxious animals who take time to warm up • Maintaining your pet’s exact routine, environment, and comfort cues I approach each home with deep respect—keeping things clean, calm, and consistent so your pet feels secure and your space is cared for.
“Tabitha is wonderful! So thoughtful and took the time to really follow my dog’s lead to make sure he feels super comfortable (he is really shy). She gives great updates after each check in and leaves everything just as it was left! Would absolutely recommend!”

“Patty was very patient and accommodating in meeting our anxious dog, and made sure he felt comfortable with introductions on his terms. It’s very clear she knows animals! We plan on booking her again in the near future”

“As a Rover sitter myself, I have very high standards when it comes to the care of my own animals. McKenzie put my mind at ease with her friendly attitude and genuine concern for my dogs. It was such a relief to be able to get away for a little while and know everything was handled at home. Thank you!!!”
“Jordan was excellent! Punctual, attentive and extremely reliable! She took great care of my pup while we were away, spending time, taking walks and always checking in. Super-reliable and friendly, Jordan is a stellar host to look after your four-legged friends!”

About: Hi there! I've always had a pet in the house, from fish and hamsters to dogs and cats. I'm comfortable with breeds of all sizes (German Shepherds are my favorite!). I've cared for sick and aging pets before, and follow vet instructions to a T. In the past I've helped a family friend's labradoodle learn to walk appropriately on a leash after attending puppy school with my own dog. I recently started a full-time job with typical office hours, so I'm generally available in the evenings during the week and all day Saturdays. I'm always willing to work with pet parents to make sure that their pet is cared for and will adjust my schedule to fit them in when possible! I'm a morning person, so if your pup likes early walks, I'm your gal! I always inform pet parents as early as possible if my schedule changes and will work with them to ensure their pet is safe and healthy. I always follow pet parent instructions and advice on caring for their pet. I understand that all fur babies have different needs, preferences, and personalities, and work to adapt my approach to pet care to make them feel happy and comfortable.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Traverse City with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
