“Rachel and Ivan are absolutely wonderful! Gives us great peace of mind to know our Bouvier is welcomed into their home and treated like a family pet. Their dog is also awesome!”

“Peter was amazing and took such great care of our Baxter! This was our first time leaving him with a sitter and we were very concerned. Peter reassured us and sent updates throughout our trip! Highly recommend!!!”

“Again, I am so grateful for the care provided by Kimberly, Jeremy and their family. I am blessed to have their availability when I have to travel for work.”

“Lisa is the bees knees!!! She was so communicative and accommodating. I was nervous but in a pinch and needed to put my trust in someone to watch a very special member of my family. She exceeded any and all expectations I could have had. She was personable and friendly to me too. What an absolute pleasure. Thank you Lisa!!!!!”

“Colleen EXCEEDED our expectations. We were traveling about 3 hours from the detroit area up to traverse city and we booked Colleen to care for our year old Yorkie teddy. We had never met her before but I just knew from looking at her photo that she was a sweet, kind and trusting person. I was absolutely correct. From the second she welcomed us into her house we were so comfortable and we laughed. Even my 1 year old was smiling and laughing with her. She really is incredible. I don't worry about Teddy for one second. She sent updates every day. She was excellent. If I go to traverse city again I will ONLY book Colleen.”

“Angela was great. We initially had our pup with her for 5 days but we decided to extended our vacation by a few days. She was very accommodating and agreed to extend her care for our dog. Our pup came back tired and happy. Will definitely have her watch our dog again.”
“Caroline was so kind and easy to work with! We were coming from out of town to attend a wedding and it was so wonderful to know that Macy was in good hands for the two days we couldn't have her at the hotel. Macy loved playing with their dogs and enjoyed meeting the pigs and chickens as well :) We highly recommend Caroline and would definitely use her again!”

“My two girls (lab and golden) had such a great time. They were loved and cared for as if their own. They also had a ton of fun outside play time and came home super tired. They live on a beautiful little lake. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my sweeties.”

“It was the first time we ever boarded our dog, so we were quite nervous. Amanda was great. She communicated often and sent so many pictures. Stella was very well taken care of.”

“My boys had a very relaxing weekend with Lisa and her husband. The fact that they don't have dogs or cats meant each of my boys got a lot of attention. I think they would've like to have stayed FOREVER, unfortunately for them, we did have to take them home.”

“She and her husband did a wonderful job of caring for kur Labrador retriever for nearly two weeks. You can tell that they treat your dog like their own. Very pleased with Allison’s service in every way.”

“Nikki and family did an excellent job taking care of Charlie. They were nice enough to meet up before Charlie’s stay, and they provided updates throughout his stay too. I hope they have Charlie back in the future as well.”

“Marg was absolutely fantastic when caring for our 1 year old Tibetan Terrier. He came back to us happy and healthy. We received pictures and videos of both his daily outings and his chill time around her house. She was excellent at communication both in the weeks and days leading up to his 4 day stay with her as well as when he was in her care. Her backyard and house were perfect for our pup to play and lounge around in. Our family couldn't be happier with the care he received and look forward to using Marg in the future.”

About: I’ve had my own dog since I was 13, and have always had a dog since. My dog is my baby! One of my favorite pastimes is walking my dogs. I currently have 2 dogs. Fresh water always, lots of love, and good quality food/treats and getting outside for potty breaks are so important to me. I work full time day shift during the week. Weekends and evenings are free for me! I would love to drop in and take care of your pet while your away! Pets like their routines and I am totally respectful of that. I can accommodate their particular needs to keep them safe, happy and well cared for!
“Stephanie & Scott took such great care of our shy dog. Knowing she was in good hands was such a relief for us. They did an amazing job and made her feel right at home. Thank you!”

“Cheyenne took great care of our Bruce! He's a Great Dane puppy, around 1 yr (we rescued him), so I was nervous leaving him for the first time. But, she kept us updated daily with photos and how he was doing. I thought his size may cause issues, being a puppy, yet larger than a full grown dog, but she took wonderful care of him and he was TIRED when we got him home! I would highly recommend her!!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats and have experience caring for multiple pets in my home and around family pets. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, cleaning up after pets, and making sure they feel safe and cared for. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoy being around animals. I treat every pet like my own and always make sure they feel comfortable and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I have experience caring for pets throughout my life, so I’m used to building feeding, cleaning, and check in times into my day. I’m able to take care of pets anytime on the days I put. I make sure to stay consistent with each pet’s schedule and give them reliable care and attention every visit. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for both dogs and cats. I make sure all doors and windows are secure and that the space is free from anything unsafe. My goal is to treat every pet like my own and keep them safe and well cared for at all times.
“Maggie was truly incredible! She’s the best sitter I have ever used on Rover. She made my nervous dog feel so comfortable and sent regular updates. She even made me a small painting of my dog after watching her for just a weekend. I highly recommend her!”

Monika was fantastic! So responsive from the moment we booked and kept us updated throughout Roxie’s whole stay — sent photos and check-ins that put our minds totally at ease. You could tell she genuinely cared for her. Would absolutely book again and recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who actually communicates!
This was our first time leaving our 8-month-old Lab mix puppy, and Alison made us feel completely comfortable from the start. She carefully followed all of our instructions, sent plenty of photos, and provided regular updates throughout the stay, which gave us great peace of mind. Our puppy got along wonderfully with Alison’s Lab mix, and it was clear she was well cared for and having a great time. We felt very lucky to find Alison and would happily use her services again. Highly recommend!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
