“Such a wonderful and relaxing time for road-worn Millie! It was wonderful that Coleen was available and her home and environment were so peaceful! I would highly recommend Coleen for any care for any pet. I felt like Millie had a nice vacation with her Auntie🥰. Will be using her again when we return to TC next spring.”

“Cheyenne saved my butt when she agreed last minute to take my Reese for an overnight while I was in town for work. I was nervous since I had never left her with someone I didn't know before. When I arrived Phillip (her boyfriend) told me he just vaccumed because they had read her bio where I said she was skiddish. I felt that it was very thoughtful for him to do that before I brought her over so she wouldn't be fearful of the loud noise. Cheyenne was extremely responsive and sent multiple photos. Reese was also able to have a playmate, Lexi (their dog). When I picked her up the next day she was HAPPY to see me and tired! I will definitely book with her again in the future.... Thank You Cheyenne and Phillip!”

“Sara took amazing care of our boy! We got lots of photos and updates. Maverick had a fantastic time playing with George, their golden. She has a fenced in yard and property for the dogs to run.”

About: I had to put down my 10 year old lab this winter. I miss having dog, but thought this would be a great way to spoil your dog and have a dog in the house again. I'm not ready for another pet just yet. I will be in charge, as I work from home. Promise lots of walks, private beach if your dog enjoys that and lots of attention. No puppies (can discuss if housebroken) and can provide for senior dogs if needs are reasonable. Thank you! I primarily work from home so your dog will never be left alone for long. I am writer, so I sit at my desk quite a bit. However, those hikes in the woods or walks around the neighborhood are necessary. I would love to have your dog join me. I will treat your dog like a part of the family. I walk, feed and give plenty of attention. You tell me the rest. I miss having our own dog and would love to take care of yours. It's not a good time to get another dog, but I know how to love and care for yours. I work from home and will handle the care of your dog.

“Perfect in every aspect. I can tell Ghost really enjoyed himself and I was scared he wouldn't want to come back home from all the fun he was having haha. Great service and look forward to booking them again in the future. Thank you very much! Chris”

“Piper enjoyed her stay at Caroline’s. Our dog was well cared for and had a lot of fun with Caroline’s dogs and family. Communication was great too! Thank you for taking care of Piper!”

About: Hello! I'm a student at NMU with tons of dog care experience! I've had three family dogs that I've taken care of, and I've walked, dog sat, and bathed many dogs for family/friends over the years. I volunteered at my local dog shelter for a summer where I walked, played with, and helped socialize the dogs, which was SUCH a rewarding experience. I am a huge animal lover, and I promise to treat your pets with love, energy, and care. Fun fact, I love dogs so much that I went on a dog podcast this summer! Go to episode 30 of "FOLLOW ME: I'M A D.O.G! PODCAST" if you want to hear me talk about my childhood dogs and why they're so important to me :) During the summer, I work from 7:15-1:15 five days a week. I am happy to check in on your dog once before work, and a few times after work! On my days off, I can spend even more time with your pup. Let me know what you’re looking for, and we’ll see if we can work something out! While I cannot host dogs in my own apartment, I promise to treat your living space (and your puppy) as if it were my own. Like I said, I grew up with dogs, have dog sat for family/friends, and have volunteered in an animal shelter, so I'm experienced in sensing what a dog needs, respecting their space, and giving them all the attention they need when they want it.
“Marg was wonderful with our very high demand puppy. She provided lots of pupdates and gave him so many fun opportunities to get his energy out on special adventure walks. I would recommend Marg to anyone.”

“She and her husband did a wonderful job of caring for kur Labrador retriever for nearly two weeks. You can tell that they treat your dog like their own. Very pleased with Allison’s service in every way.”

“Beautiful backyard with a puppy cool down pool, lots of space to run under shaded trees. Stephanie & Scott sent pics & videos of puppy playtime & them sleeping together. Very kind humans!”

About: I’ve had my own dog since I was 13, and have always had a dog since. My dog is my baby! One of my favorite pastimes is walking my dogs. I currently have 2 dogs. Fresh water always, lots of love, and good quality food/treats and getting outside for potty breaks are so important to me. I work full time day shift during the week. Weekends and evenings are free for me! I would love to drop in and take care of your pet while your away! Pets like their routines and I am totally respectful of that. I can accommodate their particular needs to keep them safe, happy and well cared for!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
