“My puppy had another awesome visit with Carol. She is a great sitter who treats my puppy like her own and keeps me updated with pictures and reports. I can go away with peace of mind knowing my puppy is in good hands. Carol is a blessing.”

About: I've worked both for neighbors providing pet care for years as well as worked for over a year at a pet boarding/daycare facility for a year. I'm a current college student with a light course load and plenty of time to spare looking after your fur baby! I love walks/hike so if your pet is up for an adventure, so am I! I treat others pets as I would my own. I ensure everything (walks, feeding, etc) are done exactly as you'd like and your pet will have all of my attention.
“Melissa & Eric are truly nice folks...relaxed, friendly, and professional w/out being stand-offish at all. They're very quick to respond to Rover.com requests & messages, & have a natural affinity for and understanding of dogs. Their black lab mix, Violet, is gorgeous, petite, & well behaved. On our meet 'n greet, I could see Violet would be fine with my two dogs. Melissa & Eric sent cute pics of Shiloh & Moochie on both days they were boarding my dogs. My pups looked relaxed & worry-free. Thank you both for being such patient, careful & thoughtful caretakers of my two lilttle pals!!”

“Jenna was great! When I dropped off our dog, she asked great questions and listened to each answer. She clearly loves taking care of pets. During our 2 nights away from Ziggy, Jenna sent pictures and comments about how he was doing. We would definitely use Jenna again and recommend her to others.”

“Melissa watched my puppy on new years and did great! He was on medication for a hurt paw and she made sure he was properly taken care of. He had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend!”

“Oh my gosh! We love Denyse and her family!!! Our Cora who has anxiety was so happy and comfortable with Denyse. She goes the extra step in every way from sending sweet pics, to keeping us updating, and contacting us with questions. Cora was a rescue dog and gets nervous around people and Denyse was so caring and sweet and patient with her that it made all the difference. Definitely contact her if you need someone to watch your pet! Thank you so much!!!!!!”

“Sheryl was fantastic! My dog is so incredibly timid of new people and places but she did so wonderfully at Sheryl’s house for the week! I received updates throughout the week, which was greatly appreciated! I hope to use Sheryl again the next time we go out of town!”

“Lynda was awesome! Super communicative. Marvel seemed so comfortable which is huge for my anxious baby. Will be reaching out to Lynda for future dog-sitting needs for sure.”

About: Hi, we’re Eric and Cassie! We’re passionate animal lovers and proud pet parents to a loving, goofy Golden Retriever. We understand that pets are family, and we know how important it is to find someone you can trust with their care. We would love the opportunity to provide your furry friends with the attention, affection, and care they deserve while giving you peace of mind. Whether it's walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to your pet's routine, we’ll treat them as if they were our own. We look forward to meeting you and your pets! 🐾 Eric is currently only taking grad classes over the summer so his schedule is very flexible. We are both very active individuals so we love going for multiple walks daily and would love to fit your pet into our cadence. Eric am 6'4 and able to handle dogs big and small on a leash. As a Special Educator (and dog owner), I am familiar with positive reinforcement and use it when walking dogs. Cassie has grown up taking care of her neighbors animals while they were on vacation and loves to spend time playing with them, sitting with them and getting their energy out.
“Tielian is by far the best sitter our dog has ever had. Very attentive and caring. Very effective communication with tons of pics. I will be certainly be using Tielians services again!”

“Lily is absolutely amazing. She treats our Charlie like family. She’s reasonable and listens to your questions and concerns. We absolutely love her! Thank you Lily for treating our Charlie as your own”

“I can’t recommend Amanda enough! She is very knowledgeable with dogs, especially large breed like I have. The environment is perfect with lots of yard to play in, and a calm family setting indoors which I know my guy loves.”

“Harper stayed with Kim, her daughter and pup for half a week for the first time. We had a meet and greet and the pups were running around in Kim’s big backyard. They got along so well. I knew then that Harper would enjoy her stay with her new friend, Nala. I was afraid Harper would not want to come home after all the play and rest time there. Im sure Harper will be happy to go back to Kim’s!”

“Brandi and Mike were absolutely wonderful with my dog, Sokka! He stayed with them for five days, and I couldn’t have asked for better hosts. They treated him like he was their own dog and went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and comfortable. I received multiple updates and pictures every day, which gave me so much peace of mind. They even took Sokka on long walks to Valley Forge Park and car rides, which he loved. Brandi and Mike are incredibly kind, thoughtful, and trustworthy—I felt completely comfortable having Sokka in their care. I will definitely be asking them to sit for Sokka again in the future. I can't recommend Brandi and Mike enough!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Trappe
Kristin had Harvey overnight for the first time (although he's been coming once weekly for daycare) and he was nervous and unsure. Kristin shared his behaviors and what she was doing to help ease him. I'm guessing she didn't get much sleep but was kind and caring. Harvey takes medications and she managed those well. I am so thrilled to have found Kristin. An amazing person that takes great care of Harvey.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
