“Melissa is a very special pet sitter!! Our dog had a hard first couple days trying to settle in as it was only his second time in someone else’s home over night. She went above and beyond to help him feel comfortable. I received lots of pictures of Winston doing his favorite things! I know that he was well taken care of with Melissa!”

“Jennifer saved us with a last minute booking and it was a great experience for our pup. We will definitely book with her again. She kept us posted with updates and pics. Easy meet and greet because she only takes 1 animal at a time and does not have a pup, so I didn't need to worry about Sully getting along with another pup. Such a relief and peace of mind.”

“Joel was fantastic. He sent me updates multiple times throughout the day with tons of pictures. He has a beautiful home, big back yard and 2 friendly dogs that are now BFFs with mine. I would book again with him in a heartbeat.”

“Sabrina was amazing with our toy poodle! She took him on walks and the dog park and sent us pictures of him everyday. Our dog got along with her dog and they had a great time together :)”

“We have used Tom several times and will be using him again in the near future. Sadie seems to enjoy her stay with Tom and his family and they seem to enjoy hosting her. On a few occasions our plans changed, and Tom was flexible in accommodating those changes. We heartily recommend him for the care of your four-legged family member.”

“Rachel is the absolute BEST. Our dog loves her. She sends incredible updates and she is so kind. Our pup had a bellyache going into a 10 day trip overseas and I was very stressed about leaving him. Rachel assured me he would be fine and went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of and provided updates on his status. She is honestly incredible.”

“I had met Shona a few times before my dog stayed with her so I already knew she was a cool and sweet lady. She exceeded my expectations in her care, communication, and patience (my dog is a bit anxious). She updated me with pictures and worked with me to problem solve when he had a few minor issues. I’m so happy we chose to board Cash with Shona and would recommend her to anyone!”

“Maranda did a great job with Cooper. He had a blast staying with her, running and playing with the other dogs she was boarding. The communication was excellent, with updates, pictures, and prompt responses whenever I reached out. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Deb and Mike were fantastic! They showed so much attention and care when watching Wilson, making sure to write down all of his routines and eccentricities before we dropped him off. We received regular updates with pictures while we were away, and even got a full journal of his daily activities when we picked him up - what a nice touch! It was obvious from the beginning they really cared about Wilson and made him as comfortable as possible in his temporary home. We will certainly use them again in the future.”

“We had a sick family member and needed someone to watch Hugs in a pinch. Tiffany was great with Hugs and super responsive. We appreciate her taking her on such late notice. Hugs had a great time and it is good knowing someone will treat your pet like family while you are away. Thanks Tiffany!!”

“Mary (and family) always take great care of Ginger. I am provided daily updates and can see how happy Ginger is. The best sign of great care is how she easily adjusts to being home as our happy pup. Thank you for all you do!!!”

About: Hi! I'm Vicki, and I offer overnight boarding in my home for small to medium dogs, with primary availability Friday through Monday and full-week bookings considered on a case-by-case basis. I've shared my home with dogs for over half my life and have experience caring for dogs who need medication, extra supervision, and a little extra patience. I'm comfortable giving medicine in pill, powder or liquid form, including syringe-administered liquids, though I do not administer injections. Your dog will stay in a loving, dog-friendly home with no resident pets, where they're welcome to relax on the furniture if that's part of their routine. We have pet stairs for dogs who can't or shouldn't jump, a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor time, and a walkable neighborhood for weather permitting walks. I work from home Fridays and Mondays and am in the office Tuesday through Thursday, so for longer stays I'm happy to discuss your dog's routine and whether they'd be comfortable with that schedule. I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your dog with someone else and I'll treat your pup with the same patience, care, and attention I gave my own. I work from home on Fridays and Mondays, typically from 8 am to 4 pm. I am in the office Tuesday through Thursday, so on those days I can provide morning care before 8 am and evening care when I return around 4 pm. For stays that include office days, I'll make sure your dog's routine and comfort being left alone are a good for before booking. My home has a fully fenced backyard for supervised outdoor time, and we live in a quiet, walkable neighborhood with little traffic. In good weather, neighbors and families are often out walking so I'll always keep your dog's comfort level and leash manners in mind. I've cared for senior dogs in my home and still have many dog care supplies available, including gates, bowls, toys, beds, blankets and pet stairs. Dogs are welcome on the furniture if that's part of their routine, but I'm also happy to set up a bed or quiet space based on that they're used to at home. I do not currently have crates, so if your dog is crate trained or sleeps in a crate please plan to bring one for their stay.
“Michael and Loraine took great care of Jax, our Bichpoo. You can tell they have had dogs and are true dog lovers. Jax took to them right away, thanks to their loving manner and welcoming warmth. We’re already booked for our next trip!”

“Ariel was an excellent host. She kept me consistently updated on Rain’s day with photos, videos, and thoughtful messages. She was also very attentive to Rain’s needs, spending time playing with her and staying close by during her first night. I will definitely be booking with her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Limerick
Sheryl is sensitive to the needs of her canine guests. My dog, Rufus, is older and doesn’t run with the big dogs. Sheryl understood that Rufus needs a quieter environment. I felt good that Sheryl provided a safe place for Rufus while we were on vacation. I will rebook with her.

Jenna was AWESOME while watching Nana when we went on vacation. It was a very last-minute request, and we got stuck in traffic on the way home (unavoidable) so we even ran a bit late at pick-up, but Jenna could not have been more accommodating and kinder! Nana loved her time with Jenna and her family, and we loved seeing the pictures while we were away! :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
