“Rita took excellent care of my Angelo in her home. He can be slow to warm up to people, but she quickly won him over and they had a great visit! He especially loved relaxing in her yard.”

“He was ok. As a first time user i would have appreciated more pics/video updates. My leash was misplaced, although he offered to replace. I liked that he was patient w/ my puppy who was nervous to enter his home in the beginning.”

“Our dog Cooper seemed so happy during his overnight boarding. He normally doesn’t eat at first when being boarded but he was enjoying a treat and eating his breakfast within moments of being dropped off. We received thoughtful updates and photos and Cooper was relaxed, comfortable and had settled in so quickly. Fantastic communication and quick responses made our trip stress free; we knew our dog was in good hands!”

“Yvonne and Joe Thank you so much for taking care of Romeo while we were away at our son’s wedding. You did a great job and we appreciate all the pictures you sent while we were away it made us feel comfortable knowing that Romeo was in good hands. We will not hesitate to bring Romeo back. Thanks again Greg and Denice.”

“I cannot recommend Sharon highly enough for anyone seeking a trustworthy and loving dog-sitter! From the moment we first met, Sharon’s warmth and genuine love for dogs were evident. If you're looking for someone who will treat your dog with the utmost care and affection, look no further. Thank you, Sharon, for making our time away worry-free and for giving our dog such a wonderful experience!”

“I’m so glad I found Emily! We have boarded our dogs several weeks a year for over 50 years. This was the best experience ever. Emily is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and all their quirks and unique needs. Her house and backyard are very well set up for the best care ever. I plan to contact her for help with leash training our huskies.”

About: I've had dogs for over 25 years and most recently I'm caring for a dog with a seizure disorder. Everything from young energetic puppies to elderly dogs. I have worked with an organization called Missing Pet Partnership (an organization started by a police officer who trained scent detection dogs). I was trained to find lost pets and the psychology of dogs and cats including training in pet first aid and CPR. My previous career was as a special education teacher. I now work full-time from home. I would love to play with and care for your pup! No pet too big or small. I hope to hear from you, thanks. I am currently working full-time from home and I will have plenty of time to play with your for baby I'm available for boarding on weekdays, weekends, nights and even holidays. I work from home and have a very large fenced yard that is fully secure for the smallest dog and 5 and a 1/2 feet tall for larger dogs. My home is set back from the road on a quiet private street for your peace of mind. I have two small friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can crate your dog if needed based on your preference and socialization with my dogs is entirely up to you. My home has separate areas to accommodate a variety of situations including multi pet homes that crate and rotate dogs, dogs with medical needs who need to be in separate areas, etc. For overnight stays I will tailor your dogs experience to ensure it is a home away from home.
“Fantastic sitter! Loving family! My lil dog is always in good hands. Very responsive and flexible sitter. GUARANTEED to care for your pet as much as you do. Thank you”

“This was the first time we used a pet sitter for our fur baby. It’s so hard for us to leave our dog with anyone because he is skittish and it takes a while for him to be comfortable with new people and surroundings. From the first meet and greet Amrita and her family made us feel welcomed and safe. Our dog warmed up to them so fast and were felt comfortable with booking with her. We are so thrilled we found Amrita! She provided such a loving environment for our dog. We were receiving regular updates from her, including pictures . It is clear she takes pride or her work but above that, she truly loves pets. My dog was very well taking care of and we will be using her services in the future .”

“Peter loves going to Geosselyn's house! She sends the cutest pictures of him during his stay there. Peter loves exploring her large, fenced-in yard. Peter comes home well rested and calm. You can tell that Geosselyn loves caring for dogs. We will definitely book again with her!”

“The fact that Courtney is a vet was one of the reasons I reached out to see if she was able to watch Sunny for a weekend while I was out of town due to how anxious she can get. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint. During the meet and greet, she asked about emergency vet info and offered her office as an option for urgent but non-emergency situations since I don’t have a primary emergency vet. She was aware of Sunny’s needs while she was there. Courtney also kept great communication and sent lots of videos and pics during her stay. I would 10/10 recommend her and will definitely be booking services with her again when the time comes!”

“This was our first time boarding our dog, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Chyann was incredibly sweet, attentive, and caring, and it was clear from the start that she genuinely loves animals. She provided regular updates, photos, and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog was well cared for, comfortable, and happy throughout the stay. She has a natural way with animals and made the entire experience stress-free for both us and our pup. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a safe, trustworthy, and loving environment for their dog.”

“Thanks Suniana for taking care of our dog Sunny while we were out in vacation. Sunny had a great time with you. Thanks for sharing lots of pics and videos with us each day.”

“Elizabeth was great! She sent plenty of updates during our dog’s stay, which was greatly appreciated and followed all instructions when it came to him. She was also super sweet and her family was just as sweet, we felt very comfortable leaving Meechie with her.”

“Latoyia was great my dog got the attention she needed and was well taken care of i will definitely be booking her again she was. amazing and responds very quickly along with making sure i had updates”

“Mark and Kayleigh were amazing, start to finish, while watching our sweet pup. They both clearly know and love dogs, their house and yard and wonderful and safe for pets. They were attentive to the dog, responsive to us while we were on our trip, and operate with respect and professionalism you’d hope for when letting someone watch over a part of your family. Can’t recommend them enough! Our Shiloh will absolutely be staying with them again on our next trip.”

About: Ive had cats and dogs since a very young age I currently have 4 dogs and three cats. I have many years of experience and love them all! “We are very happy to leave our dog Peaches with Alexandra. She and her family did a great job caring for our dog. We can go about with our travel plans knowing that Peaches is in a loving home environment. I would gladly recommend her for any pet owners looking for a pet sitter. Thank you Alexandra and family for your help with Peaches!”

“Kelly was wonderful! She took great care of our Lucky. She treated him like a member of her family and even took him to see Santa Claus! She kept us informed and updated with pictures and texts so we didn't have wonder or worry about him. I highly recommend her to take care of your family pet!”

“Diane was great & I'd recommend her for your dog sitting needs. Cared for a senior dog with medication needs. Lots of walks! Kept us informed on how our dog was doing. A joy to talk to and was very friendly.”

We LOVE Shereen! She took such good care of our little Cooper. Her dogs are so loving and friendly, and welcomed ours into their home with no issues of any kind. Shereen obviously loves dogs and treats all of them like kings and queens...which is exactly what we wanted. She's really amazing.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in DE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
