Breanna was amazing with our little boy. He takes a while to warm up to people, but she made him feel so comfortable. She also gave in-depth updates and took care of all of his needs while we were gone. Thank you Breanna!

About: Hey, pet parents! I’m a proud Animal Science student at Penn State with years of experience caring for all animals great and small including dogs, cats, horses, cows, and more! With 2 dogs and 3 cats of my own, I totally get how much love our pets bring into our lives. Whether your pup needs a walk or your cat needs cuddles, I bring knowledge, reliability, and lots of tail wags. I treat every animal like family because that’s exactly what they are! As a dedicated pet owner and Animal Science student, pet care is already a major part of my daily routine! I care for my own 2 dogs and 3 cats every day, which includes feeding, walking, grooming, playtime, and managing any health or behavioral needs. I naturally structure my schedule around animal care, and it’s something I truly enjoy and prioritize. Whether it’s early morning feedings, mid-day walks, or evening cuddle sessions, caring for animals is second nature to me and I’m always happy to make space in my week to care for others’ pets with the same love and attention I give my own. When caring for pets in my own home or a client’s, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and engaging environment that matches each animal’s personality and routine. In client homes, I always follow their care instructions closely whether that’s feeding schedules, medication, preferred walking routes, or favorite toys. I keep pets on their normal routines to reduce stress and make them feel comfortable while their owners are away. For cats, I make sure litter boxes are clean, water is fresh, and they have a mix of playtime and quiet time, depending on their temperament. For dogs, I provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection along with structured potty breaks and walks. I’m also experienced with senior pets and those needing medication or extra TLC. Whether I’m staying overnight, dropping in for visits, or out for a walk, I care for every pet like they’re my own attentively, gently, and with lots of love and respect!

About: My name is Taryn and I have lived with animals all my life. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, birds, horses, fish, chickens, and small snakes. I have two young adult daughters that live at home and share the same passion as I do. I do have a 7yr old mix of my own that enjoys playing with others. If your dog happens to not be dog friendly, no worries; I provide in home dog care, drop in visits and dog walks! My home is clean, quiet, and pet proof. I have a large back yard with plenty of room for your best friend to run and play. We even have trails nearby where we can go on fun adventures! Pets will have free roam of the house so they don’t feel left out, after all they are apart of the family. Your pet(s) will never be alone or feel scared with me as their sitter. I work full time during the week. But I’m available weeknights for drop-ins, walks, and daycare. I’m available Fri-Sunday for the above as well as in home and in my home boarding. I have a large yard and a friendly dog for your pup to play with. If needed, I also have a crate. I don’t like crating my dog so prefer not to crate yours unless instructed by you for specific reasons. Of course they’ll be let out often to use the bathroom and have unlimited access to water. In your home, your pet will be let out when needed/scheduled if they have one, played with, and loved on. No matter where we are, my goal is to make your pet feel safe.

About: About Me: I am a teacher, pet mom (to both dogs & cats!), and lover of all animals. I lead my life with empathy, which makes me an extremely patient and effective pet care provider. It is my mission to treat your babies with the same amount of love, respect, and compassion that I would hope somebody would give to my own. I believe that behavior management, if necessary, should always be rooted in consistency and positive redirections. My Experience: Beyond being a cat and dog mom, I have years of experience with long term cat and dog sitting. I am experienced and comfortable with any age of pet, from puppies/kittens to senior animals. I have some basic experience with training from my own pets. My Schedule: Until my summer ends, I am available almost daily. Once school starts, I am available on weekends and week day evenings. During these times, I can do check ins, feedings, walks, play times, or overnights. I am comfortable with week day overnights, if your pet is able to be alone during my typical 8 hour work day. About: I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals, including dogs, cats, and horses, which has given me a deep understanding of their needs, behaviors, and personalities. Growing up with pets taught me the importance of consistency, patience, and attentive care, whether that meant daily feeding routines, grooming, exercise, or recognizing subtle signs that an animal might be stressed or unwell. I’m comfortable caring for pets of different ages, temperaments, and activity levels, and I approach every animal with kindness, reliability, and respect. My lifelong hands-on experience allows me to provide safe, loving, and attentive care, so pet parents can feel confident their pets are in capable and compassionate hands. I am currently in nursing school and work part time at two different jobs. Some weeks my school schedule changes so I might have more flexibility! I have a fenced in yard that I use for my dog. I am also able to crate animals as needed and will supervise all interactions.

About: I've had cats and dogs my whole life and have spent most of my adult life volunteering for 2 animal rescue organizations. I fostered over 170 cats for my last organization (that was over a period of 15 years!) caring for all ages as well as taking in some with medical needs. I'm skilled at administering medications of all sorts and we currently have an asthmatic cat that takes an inhaler. I've been a "cat person" my whole life, but love dogs too! My husband and I love the large breeds, in particular Mastiffs. We currently have 3 cats plus a Mastiff who is the biggest baby. :-) We recently moved to Delaware (from just outside of DC) and I'm looking to re-start pet sitting as I LOVE meeting new furbabies and taking care of them. I used to pet sit in VA but put it to the side when fostering took up most of my free time. I recently took an early retirement and have plenty of free time so can offer flexibility. Since I'm married my husband helps takes care of our own cats/dog, and he understands my love of animals and desire to help others. I understand that every cat/dog is unique, with their own personality and needs. I will take the time to get to know each one and tailor my approach to ensure their comfort level,

Jen is absolutely the BEST petsitter you will ever experience. My cat is very high maintenance with her attitude and her massive hair (forest cat). Upon my arrival home kitty was calm, very content , and had an extensive grooming! My home was exceptionally clean with the removal of litter and cat food cans. Jen met me before the sitting dates and she was extremely knowledgeable . She has tons of common sense--- You will not need to give her pages of instruction. She GETS IT ! In addition, my plants were watered during this 94 degree weather , mail was placed neatly inside, and trash cans were taken to the curb . Photos are sent to you at each visit. Love Jen to take care of my cat.

Nestled on our beautiful horse farm in lower Cecil County, our little slice of paradise offers breathtaking views, fresh country air, and plenty of room for adventure. Whether your pup loves splashing in the pool, running and playing in our safe, clean, and secure outdoor spaces, enjoying cozy snuggles inside, or taking a stroll to visit the horses, every day is filled with love, fun, and personalized care. We believe the most important thing we can give your pet is love. We care for each guest as if they were our own while always respecting and following every parent’s wishes, routines, and special instructions. Your pet’s happiness, comfort, and safety will always come first. Our hope is that Safe Hayven Fields becomes your pet’s home away from home—a place they’ll be excited to return to, with wagging tails and happy hearts every single visit. We can’t wait to welcome your family into ours. ❤️ My entire life revolves around my farm and caring for all of my animals. I am on the property 24/7 as this is my full time job. And luckily it’s my passion. We have a beautiful fenced in pasture with lots of space to run. We are in a very private and rural area. We also have a pool- only if parents are OK and the Pup chooses to take a dip! Your Pup will always be supervised. If there are restrictions we will always abide by them. We also have dog crates if needed or requested and a beautiful inside area as well. Basically your Pup is gonna have free range and feel a home away from home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Townsend. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
