About: I have cared for and loved all range of animals from dogs, cats, and rodents! I have been caring for animals since I was 10 years old for family and friends. I can work with all dog breeds and sizes as I have personally owned and cared for all kinds from chihuahuas to cane corsos! Cats have always been a pet of mine as well and cared for multiple family members felines. I currently assist in fostering dogs and took up dog trainings for a few years. I’m currently working full time - however - I spend my evenings caring for my foster dog and in the weekends I will do drop ins for a family or neighbors hospice pet. I have a fenced in yard as well as a large variety of food for certain nutritional diets depending on the foster dog at that time. I ensure safe environments to ensure the animal is in the best care and comfortability.
“I booked Shawn a little last minute right before my vacation, she is amazing! This is my first time using the app and having a sitter for my babies! She went above what I expected and truly was so much help, such an attentive sitter. I definitely recommend booking her to take care of your fur babies! Truly the sweetest women!”

About: I've had cats and dogs my whole life and have spent most of my adult life volunteering for 2 animal rescue organizations. I fostered over 170 cats for my last organization (that was over a period of 15 years!) caring for all ages as well as taking in some with medical needs. I'm skilled at administering medications of all sorts and we currently have an asthmatic cat that takes an inhaler. I've been a "cat person" my whole life, but love dogs too! My husband and I love the large breeds, in particular Mastiffs. We currently have 3 cats plus a Mastiff who is the biggest baby. :-) We recently moved to Delaware (from just outside of DC) and I'm looking to re-start pet sitting as I LOVE meeting new furbabies and taking care of them. I used to pet sit in VA but put it to the side when fostering took up most of my free time. I recently took an early retirement and have plenty of free time so can offer flexibility. Since I'm married my husband helps takes care of our own cats/dog, and he understands my love of animals and desire to help others. I understand that every cat/dog is unique, with their own personality and needs. I will take the time to get to know each one and tailor my approach to ensure their comfort level,

“Kara was excellent with my babies. She provided updates on every visits and daily pictures of my two large dogs. I could tell they were well taken care of by Kara. I will definitely use Kara again.”

“Breanna was amazing with our little boy. He takes a while to warm up to people, but she made him feel so comfortable. She also gave in-depth updates and took care of all of his needs while we were gone. Thank you Breanna!”

“River did an amazing job with our cat Jonny! She was super flexible, and even added a few extra days to his care upon request! Jonny loved hanging out with her during their visits as well!”

About: I've had dogs for over 25 years and most recently I'm caring for a dog with a seizure disorder. Everything from young energetic puppies to elderly dogs. I have worked with an organization called Missing Pet Partnership (an organization started by a police officer who trained scent detection dogs). I was trained to find lost pets and the psychology of dogs and cats including training in pet first aid and CPR. My previous career was as a special education teacher. I now work full-time from home. I would love to play with and care for your pup! No pet too big or small. I hope to hear from you, thanks. I am currently working full-time from home and I will have plenty of time to play with your for baby I'm available for boarding on weekdays, weekends, nights and even holidays. I work from home and have a very large fenced yard that is fully secure for the smallest dog and 5 and a 1/2 feet tall for larger dogs. My home is set back from the road on a quiet private street for your peace of mind. I have two small friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can crate your dog if needed based on your preference and socialization with my dogs is entirely up to you. My home has separate areas to accommodate a variety of situations including multi pet homes that crate and rotate dogs, dogs with medical needs who need to be in separate areas, etc. For overnight stays I will tailor your dogs experience to ensure it is a home away from home.
“Anneliese came thru & helped me last minute & even went above & beyond by helping fix one of my guys crates. I had a freak health incident & I just recently lost my usual helper so I was scrambling for help. Communication was amazing, I've got some new pics of my little guys, & I will %125 be contacting Anneliese again ANYTIME I need ANY kind of help with my guys. I was a little nervous about letting someone in my house I don't know & I'm already a cautious person, but this was exactly what I needed in this situation & I can't thank Anneliese enough! She made my crappy situation a bit less stressful & I appreciate that.”

“Jen is absolutely the BEST petsitter you will ever experience. My cat is very high maintenance with her attitude and her massive hair (forest cat). Upon my arrival home kitty was calm, very content , and had an extensive grooming! My home was exceptionally clean with the removal of litter and cat food cans. Jen met me before the sitting dates and she was extremely knowledgeable . She has tons of common sense--- You will not need to give her pages of instruction. She GETS IT ! In addition, my plants were watered during this 94 degree weather , mail was placed neatly inside, and trash cans were taken to the curb . Photos are sent to you at each visit. Love Jen to take care of my cat.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I adopted a cat two years ago & can confidently say I now know the difference between how to interact with both. My friends call me the cat whisperer & I’ve watched both cats & dogs before. I am available to pet sit weekdays. My availability does depend on the week- I work remote so I am more flexible. I will try to keep my posted schedule as up to date as possible. I care for every pet with compassion & love. I understand that every dog/cat is different & needs to be treated accordingly. I get the importance of knowing your pet is safely looked after & treat them like my own.
About: Need someone who can handle more than just a walk in the park? I was raised on a farm and have professional zoo experience. I have cared for many animals and can administer meds, handle large breeds and provide loving care. Currently a dog and turtle owner, I am a responsible professional looking to help you enjoy your travels worry-free. I am available anytime on weekends. During the week, I can provide care in the early mornings before 8:00 AM and in the evenings after 5:00 PM. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible while you are away. Drawing on my background in zoo and farm care, I am meticulous about following instruction whether that involves administering medication, adhering to strict feeding schedules, or managing specific turnout times. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pine Valley Farms. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
