“Chelsea was amazing! She was punctual, communicative, and respectful. She gave my little guy lots of love, and send the cutest pictures. It really helped relieve my stress of leaving my puppy for the first time. So grateful for Chelsea and would absolutely recommend and book again!”

“Tracie is phenomenal and I would recommend her for all of your pet needs! The next time I am on vacation I will choose her again. She communicates very efficiently & treated my pets like her own.”

“Lauren did an amazing job with Barkley ! She was perfect in all facets of her visit. Barkley was very comfortable having Lauren looking after him. I would recommend her any time !!”

“Anneliese came thru & helped me last minute & even went above & beyond by helping fix one of my guys crates. I had a freak health incident & I just recently lost my usual helper so I was scrambling for help. Communication was amazing, I've got some new pics of my little guys, & I will %125 be contacting Anneliese again ANYTIME I need ANY kind of help with my guys. I was a little nervous about letting someone in my house I don't know & I'm already a cautious person, but this was exactly what I needed in this situation & I can't thank Anneliese enough! She made my crappy situation a bit less stressful & I appreciate that.”

“River did an amazing job with our cat Jonny! She was super flexible, and even added a few extra days to his care upon request! Jonny loved hanging out with her during their visits as well!”

“Jen is absolutely the BEST petsitter you will ever experience. My cat is very high maintenance with her attitude and her massive hair (forest cat). Upon my arrival home kitty was calm, very content , and had an extensive grooming! My home was exceptionally clean with the removal of litter and cat food cans. Jen met me before the sitting dates and she was extremely knowledgeable . She has tons of common sense--- You will not need to give her pages of instruction. She GETS IT ! In addition, my plants were watered during this 94 degree weather , mail was placed neatly inside, and trash cans were taken to the curb . Photos are sent to you at each visit. Love Jen to take care of my cat.”

“Selena was amazing! She really took the extra time and effort to not only be the best sitter to our girl Olive but also to care for our home while cleaning up after our little one. She was so good with our pup and would choose her any day! Thanks Selena :)”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I adopted a cat two years ago & can confidently say I now know the difference between how to interact with both. My friends call me the cat whisperer & I’ve watched both cats & dogs before. I am available to pet sit weekdays. My availability does depend on the week- I work remote so I am more flexible. I will try to keep my posted schedule as up to date as possible. I care for every pet with compassion & love. I understand that every dog/cat is different & needs to be treated accordingly. I get the importance of knowing your pet is safely looked after & treat them like my own.
About: I've had cats and dogs my whole life and have spent most of my adult life volunteering for 2 animal rescue organizations. I fostered over 170 cats for my last organization (that was over a period of 15 years!) caring for all ages as well as taking in some with medical needs. I'm skilled at administering medications of all sorts and we currently have an asthmatic cat that takes an inhaler. I've been a "cat person" my whole life, but love dogs too! My husband and I love the large breeds, in particular Mastiffs. We currently have 3 cats plus a Mastiff who is the biggest baby. :-) We recently moved to Delaware (from just outside of DC) and I'm looking to re-start pet sitting as I LOVE meeting new furbabies and taking care of them. I used to pet sit in VA but put it to the side when fostering took up most of my free time. I recently took an early retirement and have plenty of free time so can offer flexibility. Since I'm married my husband helps takes care of our own cats/dog, and he understands my love of animals and desire to help others. I understand that every cat/dog is unique, with their own personality and needs. I will take the time to get to know each one and tailor my approach to ensure their comfort level,
“Breanna was amazing with our dog! She made sure she had plenty of time outside and cleaned up an accident my dog left in her crate. She kept us well informed and send us pictures! I highly recommend ?”

“Caitlin did an amazing job caring for our dog while we were away. She was great with helping our dog feel comfortable and really followed his lead. Caitlin was quick to respond and very communicative about her visits. We had a great experience.”

“Jenna is a true pet whisperer! We couldn't have asked for a better sitter for our fur babies. She was always punctual, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our cats felt loved and safe while we were on vacation. Jenna's dedication to ensuring our kitties had plenty of playtime and attention was truly heartwarming. We wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter.”

“We brought our dog Mutig over to see how he got along with Yvonne, her family home, and with their dog Quincy before we go on a big trip. They were warm, inviting, and asked great questions. Quincy and Mutig hit it off racing around the yard and it put us at ease knowing we will have a good place to leave him where he will have care and a great playmate!”

“Rebecca took great care of our dog. She was very dependable and on time even in poor weather conditions. Our dog was very comfortable with her. We would highly recommend her to anyone.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Airmont Acres. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
