“Chelsea is the best! She has cared for our cat on 2 occasions now. The first time for a few days and just finished 10 days while we were out of the country. Great communication and a true love for the animals she cares for not just the necessities but also love and pets while we were away. She will be as first choice always !”

“Tracie was great! She so sweetly offered to pop in a few more times than we asked her to. You can tell she really cares for animals. We already have her lined up to watch our kitties for the next holiday. :)”

“Amarichi was a lifesaver! We needed drop-in visits, walking, and feeding for our two pups.(One senior, perpetual toddler, 14-year-old Cockapoo, and a 4-year-old Boxer mix. Amarichi arrived on time, she sent updates with photos; she was very helpful with problem solving; and she provided solutions for unexpected situations (our Cockapoo wouldn’t let our other furbaby eat or drink in peace.) Amarichi is a true gem, we’ll definitely rebook her services again. I absolutely recommend Amarichi, without question.”

“She was so amazing with my puppy and I could tell he was so comfortable in her care. She sent lots of picture updates and came very last minute to save me! We will definitely be using her again.”

“Raven was great! Kept us up to date with notes and pictures. Paid more attention to when our dogs go to the bathroom than I do. Gave lots of love to our pets. Looking forward to continuing working together!”

About: I’ve been a devoted dog owner for 10 years, and I’m passionate about both dogs and staying active. As a schoolteacher, I’m excited to continue doing what I love while earning extra income to help pay off my student loans and purchase supplies for my classroom. I can walk dogs Monday through Friday after 3:30 pm. If you’re running late and need someone to help out in a pinch, I'm happy to assist. I’m available on Saturday and Sunday to walk your furry friend three times a day, or more if needed. Our dog is incredibly spoiled and loved. Whenever I come home, she brings me her ball, and we play fetch before anything else. She is groomed monthly, walked several times daily, and receives constant attention. When we have salmon, we cook her a plain fillet, which she loves.
About: I’ve cared for dogs of different sizes and personalities for over five years. Neighbors, friends and family count on me to walk, feed, bathe and give their pets plenty of love and attention—keeping tails wagging and owners worry-free I'm currently working part-time from home , so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! ! I'm available for boarding anytime . I care for pets in their own home to keep them comfortable in a familiar space. I follow each owner’s instructions closely for feeding, walks, and playtime, and keep everything tidy and secure. I give plenty of affection, monitor water and food, and send regular updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe and happy.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs including raising 5 of my own for over 30 years. Happy to drop in or provide walks as needed. Look forward to hearing from you. I work from home every other week which enables me the flexibility to drop in and take your pup for a walk or feed and let them out. I’ve taken care of dogs including raising 5 of my own for over 30 years. Happy to drop in or provide walks as needed. Let me know how I can help

About: I’ve spent years caring for and training dogs, including raising and training four Australian Cattle Dogs—a breed known for its intelligence and high energy. Through that experience, I’ve learned how to read canine body language, reinforce good behaviors, and confidently handle dogs with different personalities and energy levels. I’ve also walked dogs for several of my mom’s clients throughout the Hockessin and Wilmington area. My focus is on providing safe, reliable, and personalized care while treating every dog as if they were my own. I’m currently home full-time, allowing me to provide attentive, personalized care throughout the day. Dogs in my care receive plenty of potty breaks, exercise, playtime, enrichment, affection, and supervision rather than being left alone for long periods. Your dog will be welcomed into a safe, loving home and treated like one of my own. I have a fully fenced 0.5-acre yard with plenty of room to run, play, and explore under supervision, as well as three friendly, well-socialized dogs for those who enjoy canine companionship. I also do my best to maintain each dog’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special instructions you provide. My goal is simple: for you to have peace of mind while you’re away and for your dog to feel safe, happy, and loved while they’re with me. I’m a Registered Nurse with a background in cardiac care and high-stress open-heart surgery, where being dependable, attentive, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented was essential every single day. After years of caring for my patients’ hearts, I’ve now been able to channel that same compassion into one of my greatest passions—dogs. I like to think I’ve gone from caring for my patients’ hearts to caring for my clients’ whole hearts—their dogs. ❤️🐾 My nursing background has shaped the way I care for animals. I take safety seriously, pay close attention to changes in behavior or well-being, follow instructions carefully, and understand the importance of medications and routines. Most importantly, I want owners to know they are leaving their dog with someone who is responsible, reliable, professional, and genuinely invested in their care.
About: I have owned dogs since childhood, ranging from 60lbs to 150lbs. I have walked dogs and dog sat since I was a teenager. I have 3 dogs of my own, 3 of which are XL, and always have a foster dog as well. I am very active and would be happy to provide your dog with extra activity like hiking or running if you want them to come along for an adventure. I have experience with pet therapy for the last 15 years as well. If you are boarding with me, during the work week, I come home for lunch so my pets don’t ever go more than five hours without a let out. I can accommodate early morning or later in the evening walks or let outs on weekdays. Weekends are very open for me! I am able to accommodate dog friendly dogs for boarding who can integrate into our pack. I have a male Cane Corso, a male Great Dane, and a female Lab. They are all fixed and all dog and cat friendly. I can also accommodate non-dog friendly dogs as long as they are crate trained and comfortable in a room with busy toys and treats. They will still receive one on one attention and play time. For drop-ins, I am happy to utilize your yard for let outs and/or play time or very happy to walk your dog/s. For boarding, I have a fully fenced in portion of yard. I do not live in a neighborhood, so if your dog requires walks while boarding, I live 5 minutes from a park. I have cared for senior dogs as well as special needs dogs. I am very comfortable administering medications and sub q fluids. My one dog received daily fluids. Pet care is essentially my whole life :) With a multi dog household, life revolves around them. Their needs are prioritized and whatever accommodations need to be made can be made. Happy to provide your dogs with walks, playing tug, mental stimulation or just snuggles. If your dog is active, I’d be thrilled to take them for hikes or runs.

“Both our dogs liked Lillian from the first meeting, and that helped us dog parents deal with our separation anxiety. Lillian was always prompt to arrive at the appointed times. Our dogs were healthy and happy when we got home. We’ll ask for Lillian by name next time!”

I have two young adult daughters that live at home and share the same passion as I do. I do have a 7yr old mix of my own that enjoys playing with others. Pets will have free roam of the house so they don’t feel left out, after all they are apart of the family. Your pet(s) will never be alone or feel scared with me as their sitter. I work full time during the week. But I’m available weeknights for drop-ins, walks, and daycare. I’m available Fri-Sunday for the above as well as in home and in my home boarding. I have a large yard and a friendly dog for your pup to play with. If needed, I also have a crate. I don’t like crating my dog so prefer not to crate yours unless instructed by you for specific reasons. Of course they’ll be let out often to use the bathroom and have unlimited access to water. In your home, your pet will be let out when needed/scheduled if they have one, played with, and loved on. No matter where we are, my goal is to make your pet feel safe.
About: I’ve taken care of family and friends’ dogs throughout the past few years. I provided whatever they needed whether that was feeding, walking, or playing. I’m currently working a part time restaurant job that never ends later than 10:30 pm. So I will have plenty of time to take care of pets overnight and during the day. About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have always been passionate about caring for animals. In addition to being a lifelong dog owner, I work in healthcare, where attention to detail, patience, compassion, and reliability are essential every day. I bring those same qualities to pet care. I understand that every dog has unique needs, routines, and personalities, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’ll provide dependable care and plenty of attention. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to give pet parents peace of mind knowing their furry family member is in caring and trustworthy hands. I work full time Tuesday–Friday from 8 AM–4 PM, with occasional Saturdays, but I’m available for evenings and weekends, and drop-in care. Mondays are bit more flexible as of now , that is subject to change end of August. I have two French Bulldogs of my own, so I’m very familiar with the special care and attention this breed requires. Because Frenchies can be prone to overheating and breathing difficulties, I closely monitor activity levels, especially during warm weather, and make sure pets always have access to fresh water, a comfortable environment, and plenty of rest. As both a lifelong dog owner and a healthcare professional, I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior, routine, and overall well-being. I follow all feeding, medication, walking, and care instructions provided by pet parents and make sure pets receive plenty of love, supervision, and companionship. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I maintain a clean, safe environment and treat every animal as if they were my own. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone else, and I strive to provide reliable care and regular updates so owners can have peace of mind while they’re away.

“Madison took great care of our pup. We needed someone to take Hallie for a walk and spend some time with her at the house during the day. She was careful with our directions and meeting Hallie's specific dietary needs and provided regular updates with photos. We highly recommend Madison!”

About: I am here to take of your dog and to provide them the love they long when it’s vacation time for owners (or anytime you need to yourself). Provide exercise for dogs (usually in half-hour or one-hour increments). Pick up and dispose of dog droppings during walks. Check dogs' food and water supply to make sure basic needs are met after walks. I am very patient and show a lot of compassion towards dog. I just want them to feel at home away from home! I am also a very active person, so your dog will be able to have all of their fun they usually have or more when they are with me! I hope to walk your dog soon! Prices are non negotiable I am working from home currently. This will allow me to give your first baby all of the attention they desire. Please ask me any questions on any accommodations that we may be able to work out. I don’t have any pets of my own so if your fur baby isn’t fond of other pets they can feel secure being over my home. My I am close with my neighbors who do have friendly pets as well, so if your pet loves company, they can be easily accommodated. We also have a dog park walking distance from the complex

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
