About: We are a family with a 13 year old girl, 9 year old girl, 2 sweet cats, 2 hamsters and a yorkie! All our animals are vaccinated and not aggressive. Our girls are animal lovers and have been caring for pets since they could walk! We are used to prioritizing pet needs and are home throughout most days and could likely accommodate the most unique needs - without judgment! We have 3 adults in the home and there is rarely no one home at all. One adult works part time and one works from home. Kids have school and sports but as a family, we are used to prioritizing pets’ needs regardless of the daily schedule. We live in a beautiful neighborhood with nearby parks for walks and have a small back yard that is not fenced in. We have space for a crate indoors if needed, but also can provide lots of snuggles.
About: I've had cats and dogs my whole life and have spent most of my adult life volunteering for 2 animal rescue organizations. I fostered over 170 cats for my last organization (that was over a period of 15 years!) caring for all ages as well as taking in some with medical needs. I'm skilled at administering medications of all sorts and we currently have an asthmatic cat that takes an inhaler. I've been a "cat person" my whole life, but love dogs too! My husband and I love the large breeds, in particular Mastiffs. We currently have 3 cats plus a Mastiff who is the biggest baby. :-) We recently moved to Delaware (from just outside of DC) and I'm looking to re-start pet sitting as I LOVE meeting new furbabies and taking care of them. I used to pet sit in VA but put it to the side when fostering took up most of my free time. I recently took an early retirement and have plenty of free time so can offer flexibility. Since I'm married my husband helps takes care of our own cats/dog, and he understands my love of animals and desire to help others. I understand that every cat/dog is unique, with their own personality and needs. I will take the time to get to know each one and tailor my approach to ensure their comfort level,
About: I am compassionate, caring and loving to all cats. My cat is my best friend because she listens better than humans. Cats are my go to for unjudgmental opinions I work full time, so I would be available to care for your furbabies after 4pm. I would also be available on the weekends to provide checkin n needed care. I have 1 cat , our apartment is cat friendly and quiet with 2 adult caretakers. I have had 3 cats previously. They can be such good companions. She eats 3 meals, has regular water changes and litter box changes and plays good solo .
“Jen is absolutely the BEST petsitter you will ever experience. My cat is very high maintenance with her attitude and her massive hair (forest cat). Upon my arrival home kitty was calm, very content , and had an extensive grooming! My home was exceptionally clean with the removal of litter and cat food cans. Jen met me before the sitting dates and she was extremely knowledgeable . She has tons of common sense--- You will not need to give her pages of instruction. She GETS IT ! In addition, my plants were watered during this 94 degree weather , mail was placed neatly inside, and trash cans were taken to the curb . Photos are sent to you at each visit. About: At the age of 12 I was caring for animals working on a farm for a traveling petting zoo. I also had cats and dogs at home. In my 20's I volunteered at a local shelter where I adopted my first Pittie. I now have two Bulldogs a mom and son duo and a Fiesty but loving Sphynx Cat. I have availability early morning, during lunch , after 5pm , and before bed time Monday through Friday. About: I have owned dogs since childhood, ranging from 60lbs to 150lbs. I have walked dogs and dog sat since I was a teenager. I have 3 dogs of my own, 3 of which are XL, and always have a foster dog as well. I am very active and would be happy to provide your dog with extra activity like hiking or running if you want them to come along for an adventure. I have experience with pet therapy for the last 15 years as well. If you are boarding with me, during the work week, I come home for lunch so my pets don’t ever go more than five hours without a let out. I can accommodate early morning or later in the evening walks or let outs on weekdays. Weekends are very open for me! I am able to accommodate dog friendly dogs for boarding who can integrate into our pack. I have a male Cane Corso, a male Great Dane, and a female Lab. They are all fixed and all dog and cat friendly. I can also accommodate non-dog friendly dogs as long as they are crate trained and comfortable in a room with busy toys and treats. They will still receive one on one attention and play time. For drop-ins, I am happy to utilize your yard for let outs and/or play time or very happy to walk your dog/s. For boarding, I have a fully fenced in portion of yard. I do not live in a neighborhood, so if your dog requires walks while boarding, I live 5 minutes from a park. I have cared for senior dogs as well as special needs dogs. I am very comfortable administering medications and sub q fluids. My one dog received daily fluids. Pet care is essentially my whole life :) With a multi dog household, life revolves around them. Their needs are prioritized and whatever accommodations need to be made can be made. Happy to provide your dogs with walks, playing tug, mental stimulation or just snuggles. If your dog is active, I’d be thrilled to take them for hikes or runs.
About: I’ve have been a dog owner all throughout my life. I currently have a golden retriever that is three year old named Steve. I know level 1 and level 2 dog training techniques. And enjoy taking dogs for long walks to get their energy out. I live five minutes from my job and can come home if needed and never work weekends. My wife works from home 3 out of 5 week days. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
