About: My Work History: My 30 plus career was in Quality and Risk for financial institutions most recently ending a contractor position mid summer of 2023. About Me: I had the opportunity to take a career hiatus after ending a 15 year career to focus on family with the plan to return to work within the year. Then Covid hit. As a result I was fortunate to stay home longer than anticipated and care for our families new addition, our now five year old Bulldog, Boxer, Shepherd Mix. This made me realize the importance of her growth and safety as she flourished with consistency during human connection. I believe this alleviated her diagnosed anxiety and gave her a sense of not only security but happiness. As long as I can remember I have had a passion for connecting with pets and making sure they are not just cared for by feeding and walking, but to also make them feel safe with their caretaker. I believe animals should respect humans and at the same time humans should respect the loyalty, love and health of their pets. My entire life I have owned Chocolate Labrador Retrievers, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and two cats. Most proudly I have raised 5 kids who have had hamsters' and fish while 2 children left them in our care when spending half their time with their other parental unit. Over 4 years ago I hired a trainer for our family dog and have skills that can be put to use to help your dog if they are currently in training. I am familiar with crates and to identify when a dog may not feel safe, anxious and when they give a warning to people to back off if they are not in their best mood. I am familiar with the laws of Delaware for on leash and off leash. I am also happy to give your loyal pet its daily medication during the visit if needed. My years working in Quality, Risk, Mother and Animal owner makes me a great candidate for communicating in a way to effectively resolve any possible difference of opinion and believe that starts with listening and respecting the other person. If at any time you are not satisfied and need me to change a routine or approach I am happy to make those adjustments as long as we both feel comfortable with the outcome. My goal is for you to feel relaxed knowing that I am there to take care of your loyal family pet. Truth be told, having 5 kids that are successful, self-sufficient and polite makes me a great candidate to work with you and your family pet. I am currently a homemaker looking for a new career and my love and history of owning animals (since the age of 11) makes aware of the importance of availability. I care for my own animal with a routine first. Animals feel happy and safe with routines. My dog knows when it's time to go outside, time for a treat and when to play. If that's not built into the daily schedule then that can take a while to acclimate depending on the animal. If I were in a client's home I should not be caught off guard on what they expect and or what they would like to set as a routine. For instance, if I have 2 visits for one home and their animal(s) we would need to know if there is feeding, water, medicine and walking or exercising during each visit. If I notice they are not eating or drinking or playful during those visits I would want to discuss with the client to consider whether or not there are options to help their pet thrive with nutrition. I am also aware of foods that should not be provided to the dog, nor would I bring my own treats unless it was approved by Rover and Client.

“We are new to the area and we’ve always had friends or family watch our pups. This was the first time we needed to use Rover. Nancy gave us a great first experience and I’m so glad we have someone we can trust to leave our pups with if we ever need to board again! She asked great questions to get to know our pups before us dropping them off and she kept us up to date everyday with plenty of pics and videos. Nancy was very responsive as well. We will certainly be reaching out to her for future needs. Thanks again Nancy!”

“Claudia was absolutely fantastic! She sent frequent updates with pictures and was super caring. I could tell that she has a true passion for animals when I first met her. Everything worked out so easily that I had no cares leaving my dog behind. I will be using her again for sure. Thanks Claudia!!!!”

“Highly recommend Karen! First time having to find a sitter for my puppy, Karen was awesome communicate very well. Even got picture updates through out the week as my puppy socialized with the other dogs. Will be back for sure!”

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with Border Collies and have also adopted several dogs over the years, so I'm comfortable with everything from high-energy working breeds to laid-back companions. I've also volunteered at several shelters, giving me experience with dogs of different ages, sizes, temperaments, and backgrounds. I work from home (as does my wife) so your pet will be getting consistent, attentive care. To be honest, our dog passed away last fall and we are missing the joy of being dog owners and having dogs around, but we need something a little more flexible for the time being. You are getting two sitters for the price of one and we will care for your dog as if they were our own :) As a former dog parent who has used Rover, my goal is to provide exactly what I was looking for each time I booked a walker/sitter: clear communication, limited hassle, and all of the assurances that you can rest easy and not worry...your doggo is in good hands! I work from home and call my own hours (as does my wife) so as long as we know your dog's routine we will make sure to incorporate it into our own. We have a fenced-in yard and a walking path near our home so walks are never a problem (we love walks). My wife and I both work from home so one of us will always be giving your dog attention/supervision. We have previously owned dogs who were flight risks so we have been conditioned to keep an eye out, keep doors closed, etc. We have a big fenced-in yard and have a little indoor gate/fence that we use in the house if need be to secure a hallway, etc.

This inspired me to receive my Associates degree in Veterinary Technology in 2024 at Del Tech then sit for and pass the VTNE to become an LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician). I love animals dearly and would be happy to care for your pets during the day when their beloved ones are away from the house. I will care for your pet(s) as if they were my own! Whether we go for a walk together, run around the yard, give them a quick meal or just provide general companionship, I look forward to meeting your furbabies! I do have a full time job as a veterinary technician which leaves me unavailable every Monday and Friday but I do have availability other days of the week so be sure to send in a request so I can review it! I aim to be transparent and flexible with all customers about my availability. While at your home, I will watch your pets carefully to assure they are being safe while getting to spend time outside or just receiving some companionship. I will be sure to fill all food and water bowls (if applicable) before I leave to ensure your pets have access to basic needs.

I work part-time, so my schedule can be flexible each week. I will have time during the weekdays and during the weekends for your pets! I will spend plenty of time giving your dog love, playing with them, and ensuring all their needs are met. I will follow exactly what you want for your dog while in your home.
About: As an engineer and proud owner of two large dogs, I bring attention to detail, and reliability to pet care. I am organized, observant, and proactive, ensuring every walk, meal, and play session is safe, structured, and enjoyable. With years of hands-on experience caring for my own dogs, I carefully observe behaviors, anticipate needs, and provide personalized love and attention, giving each pet a happy, and secure experience. I am a full-time Engineer working a 4-10 schedule where I am off 3 days per week. I have plenty of time to take care of pets during the weekends. I have 2 dogs that are extremely well behaved and friendly. They are both crate trained and love to play in the fenced in backyard.

About: I have always had pets. As a toddler my dog and I would explore the woods together. I have had pet birds, fish, hamsters, turtles, spiders, frogs, lizards, rabbits, horses, turkeys, chickens, cats and dogs. I also have experience caring for cows and sheep. I started doing pet care professionally as a teen. I eventually started training dogs as well. I did that until I moved for college. Now, I started providing those services in my home. Having dogs stay with me gives me the opportunity to provide 24/7 care and training. I trained my last dog to be a hearing dog. She always alerted me to the door and phone, so I incorporated those natural likes and abilities into her training. I'm currently preparing my new dog for search and recue training based upon his love of playing hide and seek. All dogs have their own natural abilities and like different things. I have used clicker training in the past. I usually use reward based training. I occasionally seperate dogs, so they might not play together unless they are from the same household. I have rooms set up as individual dog suites. I have lots of cozy blankets and toys for dogs to feel comfortable. Dogs will still roam and play throughout the house. Dogs will get lots of individual attention. Dogs usually make friends and enjoy playing together. There are lots of toys beds and blankets for them to get cozy and have fun. I have a large unfenced yard (will be fully fenced in October. Currently only one side is fenced.) that backs to woods with a creek and a park. Dogs will be leashed outside. I can take more than one dog and for extended stays. Dogs should bring their own food and potty training pads if they use them. I send lots of pictures of your dogs during their stay. I can send videos and have done live chat videos, so you can see and talk to your dog. Dogs will be taken outside regularly. Dogs will go outside in all weather at least 2 times during the day. Dogs also will have ample play time indoors with running, chasing, fetching or jumping. Dogs can play ball or nap. I take dogs running at the park. Each dog will be cared for according to his personality. Dogs get alot of individual attention. I make sure dogs are comfortable throughout the day and i play with them and incorporate them into my day as much as possible. My 2.5 year old son and husband also play with the dogs. They help train, feed and care for dogs too. They also run with dogs and take them to the park or dog park. Dogs may go to the store with us or on errands or on an outing. Dogs may sleep in our bed with us. Dogs may join in for Disney songs and dancing. Dogs may make new friends and bond. I only care for a few dogs at any given time. I can care for dogs weekly and monthly. I can cater to dogs special or individual needs. Drop off pick up is between 6am to 7am or 7pm to 8pm weekdays and anytime weekends. More About Me: I started pet care professionally more than 20 years ago, when i was studying nursing. I was in college and nursing school full time, working at a healthcare facility full time, doing home care and pet care. I received both of my undergraduate degrees in legal studies. I started 2 master's degree programs one in law and one in business. I plan to continue doctorate studies in psychology. My main interest is behavior. My other interests are sociology and anthropology. I also write. I love dog care. It's fun! Even when the work is hard, it's rewarding. I'm glad i decided to focus on dog care again. My days are much better with dogs in my life. More About My Family: My son has benefited from having dogs in his life and it has afforded him an early opportunity to begin working with animals. My son is an animal lover. He especially loves dogs. He's a good trainer and pet care provider. He has a deep concern for dog's feelings and goes out of his way to see them happy. He likes taking care of animals, especially dogs. He's interested in going to school, so he can learn more about taking care of animals. My husband loves dogs. He grew up with dogs and cared for additional dogs. He has a relaxed natural approach and does not use training as much as treats play and petting.
About: When I was around 8 I started volunteering at a barn simply because I loved to be around animals. I was constantly walking my neighbors dogs and my own. I now work at a boarding facility where I take care of dogs and cats. I love it and enjoy nothing more than making sure your pets are happy and cared for when you are not able to be there all the time. My friends and neighbors often ask me to watch their pets when they are away. My family currently has 3 rescue dogs, a cat and 3 horses. I look forward to the opportunity of caring for your fur babies!! I am going into my freshman year of community college and love the opportunity to be able to do something that I love in my free time I currently have 3 dogs that get along really well with each other and other dogs. I pay very close attention to how dogs act around each other and their environment to ensure they are safe.

Mila enjoyed the family, especially being around the kids. Kari is a natural loving dog sitter, very personable while making sure you feel good leaving your pet in her care. Our fur baby, Mila enjoyed staying with Kari& Joey.”

“Jill and Tommy took wonderful care of Zora during her stay. Their frequent picture updates made us feel connected and assured. Thank you for providing such a loving environment!”

“We were very comfortable with leaving our rescue dog with Jenny for a 3 night stay. We met with a couple weeks prior and our dog felt comfortable enough with her that she wanted to stay with her that day. When we brought our baby back for her stay she was very excited to see Jenny again which was very comforting for us!”

“Justin & Stephanie were amazing. I left dropping my dogs feeling at ease and came back to happy dogs. They also send a ton of pictures which I loved. So accommodating with my two dogs. Gentle & helpful with my senior dog with arthritis. Their home is set up perfectly to have multiple dogs and no issues. Definitely book your stay with them. They are a very genuine family and you can tell they love doing this.”

“Brittany took great care of Chewy during our vacation! He looked happy in each picture she sent while we were away. He even took his 1st swim! She has a wonderful yard to explore and I can tell her family loves animals. I looked forward to her pictures and updates daily. So glad I found her at the last minute and we will absolutely use her services again! Thanks again Brittany!”

“Our dog Cooper seemed so happy during his overnight boarding. He normally doesn’t eat at first when being boarded but he was enjoying a treat and eating his breakfast within moments of being dropped off. We received thoughtful updates and photos and Cooper was relaxed, comfortable and had settled in so quickly. Fantastic communication and quick responses made our trip stress free; we knew our dog was in good hands!”

“This was our first time using Yvonne and she truly put me at ease with her style of pet care. Our dog has some anxiety issues when we leave him with new people, but he did great. Yvonne was very diligent in sending updates and pictures and it was clear he was being well taken care of. We will definitely be using Yvonne & Joe again.”

“He was ok. As a first time user i would have appreciated more pics/video updates. My leash was misplaced, although he offered to replace. I liked that he was patient w/ my puppy who was nervous to enter his home in the beginning.”

“The fact that Courtney is a vet was one of the reasons I reached out to see if she was able to watch Sunny for a weekend while I was out of town due to how anxious she can get. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint. During the meet and greet, she asked about emergency vet info and offered her office as an option for urgent but non-emergency situations since I don’t have a primary emergency vet. She was aware of Sunny’s needs while she was there. Courtney also kept great communication and sent lots of videos and pics during her stay. I would 10/10 recommend her and will definitely be booking services with her again when the time comes!”

“My puppy stayed with Sharon for 3 days and I’m so lucky to have found her. I live 40 minutes away but she’s worth it. Her dog, Belle, is such a sweetie. The place is clean and the backyard as well. My dog is a little bit mischievous but Sharon handled him very well and he was very happy there. I highly recommend Sharon for everyone who wants to board their dogs, she loves dogs and will go extra miles to take of your dog. You will have no worries leaving your dogs with her.”

“Emily was amazing! She took such great care of my girl while I was on vacation. Sent me updates and photos the whole time. I get nervous leaving my shepherd with anyone but with Emily, I felt confident she was in good hands. Will definitely use her to book any other stays from here on out.”
