“Kari, Joseph, and their kids were phenomenal with our last-minute booking of our boxer, Peanut! Their home is beautiful and spacious in a lovely neighborhood. They’re communicative, provided a crate (which made our lives so much easier). They were flexible when we were a few minutes late to pickup and were totally understanding. We’ll absolutely book with them again!”
“Jen was wonderful! She did a fabulous job taking care of Tia. Jen sent us multiple photos and video that made us feel very comfortable. Tia had a great time and we would definitely use Jen in the future.”

“First time boarding our dog Nova and Nikkita and her beautiful family took excellent care of Nova and we will definitely request that Nova return with this family again!”

“Candace is wonderful! It was obvious she has an affection for dogs as soon as we, and our Boston, met her. She has lots of room for running and playing. She sent pictures several times showing how comfortable Pru was at her home. She took great care of her "houseguest". I have no reservations about recommending her, and we will definitely use her again when we are in the area.”

“I would highly recommend Jen! I have basically never left my dog at home alone. I chose to have Jen watch him since I didn’t want to leave my dog for the first time at home for 8 hours or more. I had a good feeling about her. She was on time, ready, and happy to take my dog. In talking to Jen I could tell that she has experience with dogs and that she loves them! She reassured me when I left him with her and let me know what she had planned. Jen took pictures during their walk and at the park. She sent me pictures throughout the afternoon and evening. My dog was happy and not anxious at all. When I came to pick him up she was already downstairs with my dog and his things in hand. He was very happy. I will definitely book Jen again next time I’m in the D.C. area!”
“Where do I start!? This was our first time going away and having to leave our Megan! She’s an elder fur baby and we couldn’t think of anyone who would properly take care of her. We turned to rover and it may sound strange but when I saw Barbra picture I knew she would be perfect! She sent pictures, and updates constantly! Our Megan looked so happy and taken care of! I am so pleased with her service and I will definitely be using Barbra in the future! Thanks a MILLION Barbra we appreciate you more than you know!”

“Emily was awesome!!! I couldn’t have felt more comfortable and relaxed leaving my dog, Kobe, in her care! Kobe spent a week with Emily while my family vacationed in Florida, she updated me every day with pictures/videos and a quick synopsis of how Kobe’s day/night was! Kobe couldn’t have looked any happier running like a wild man in her large fenced in back yard, or on his daily walk! I truly am thankful I found Emily and will definitely use her again in the future!!! Thank you so much Emily!!!”

“We were extremely nervous with having our dog stay with strangers but meeting Jill and Thomas quickly changed our hesitation. As soon as you meet then you can tell they are dog lovers. We recieved photos all weekend and our dog was having a great time. We will definitely be returning as a client.”

“Jenny was so responsive and caring for our pup! After meeting her and her pup crew we knew she would be best fit to watch our girl Roxy! Her services allowed us to feel at ease and such a level of comfort, knowing she was safe and well taken care of. We will definitely be booking with Jenny again!”

“We have used Beth multiple times for overnight visits and can always count on her to take good care of our Gina. She cares so much for her and keeps us informed how things are going with texts and videos. We can't imagine taking her to anyone else.”

“Jilesa was a wonderful sitter for our dog, Ollie! She was easy to keep in touch with and sent us adorable photos of our dog meeting the farm animals. I would happily use her again anytime we are in the area and recommend her highly!”

“We were thoroughly impressed with this stay for our puppy Tessa. 1st time for our puppy she seemed happy. This was also her 1st time around other dogs as well. Rackeem was very attentive and she seemed comfortable from the door. He sent us videos and pictures and this help me through the time away. I will definitely use Him again very professional.”

“Alexandra and her family took amazing care of our sometimes nervous dog bella and sent her back to us as happy as we left her. As caring and competent a dog sitter as you'll find.”

“Claudia took such amazing care of my dog! She shared lots of photos and detailed updates every day, so I always knew how he was doing. She not only took him out for walks but also played with him at home and even let him snuggle with her at night. My pup absolutely adored her — when it was time to leave, he even sat on the lawn refusing to go, with watery eyes. It’s clear he felt very loved and happy with Claudia. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter! 💛🐾”

“This was the first time my dogs stayed with a non family member so I was a littler nervous to leave them. Enrica took EXCELLENT care of my two Yorkies! She sent me updates and photos the entire time I was away which I absolutely loved. My dogs had so much fun with Enrica that the one had no interest in coming home, he just sat on her couch and looked at me. There was a nice fenced in yard to explore and it was clear they were spoiled. I would definitely send my dogs to stay with Enrica again! Thank you for taking such good care of my fur babies!”

“This was my first time using Rover. Our stay with Adriene was wonderful. Sheldon has only stayed overnight with family or a close friend previously. Adrienne’s home was so inviting and her 2 dogs were so sweet. Sheldon is a picky eater and she sat on the floor with him to help get him to eat. He had a great stay. :)”

About: My Work History: My 30 plus career was in Quality and Risk for financial institutions most recently ending a contractor position mid summer of 2023. About Me: I had the opportunity to take a career hiatus after ending a 15 year career to focus on family with the plan to return to work within the year. Then Covid hit. As a result I was fortunate to stay home longer than anticipated and care for our families new addition, our now five year old Bulldog, Boxer, Shepherd Mix. This made me realize the importance of her growth and safety as she flourished with consistency during human connection. I believe this alleviated her diagnosed anxiety and gave her a sense of not only security but happiness. As long as I can remember I have had a passion for connecting with pets and making sure they are not just cared for by feeding and walking, but to also make them feel safe with their caretaker. I believe animals should respect humans and at the same time humans should respect the loyalty, love and health of their pets. My entire life I have owned Chocolate Labrador Retrievers, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and two cats. Most proudly I have raised 5 kids who have had hamsters' and fish while 2 children left them in our care when spending half their time with their other parental unit. Over 4 years ago I hired a trainer for our family dog and have skills that can be put to use to help your dog if they are currently in training. I am familiar with crates and to identify when a dog may not feel safe, anxious and when they give a warning to people to back off if they are not in their best mood. I am familiar with the laws of Delaware for on leash and off leash. I am also happy to give your loyal pet its daily medication during the visit if needed. My years working in Quality, Risk, Mother and Animal owner makes me a great candidate for communicating in a way to effectively resolve any possible difference of opinion and believe that starts with listening and respecting the other person. If at any time you are not satisfied and need me to change a routine or approach I am happy to make those adjustments as long as we both feel comfortable with the outcome. My goal is for you to feel relaxed knowing that I am there to take care of your loyal family pet. Truth be told, having 5 kids that are successful, self-sufficient and polite makes me a great candidate to work with you and your family pet. I am currently a homemaker looking for a new career and my love and history of owning animals (since the age of 11) makes aware of the importance of availability. I care for my own animal with a routine first. Animals feel happy and safe with routines. My dog knows when it's time to go outside, time for a treat and when to play. If that's not built into the daily schedule then that can take a while to acclimate depending on the animal. If I were in a client's home I should not be caught off guard on what they expect and or what they would like to set as a routine. For instance, if I have 2 visits for one home and their animal(s) we would need to know if there is feeding, water, medicine and walking or exercising during each visit. If I notice they are not eating or drinking or playful during those visits I would want to discuss with the client to consider whether or not there are options to help their pet thrive with nutrition. I am also aware of foods that should not be provided to the dog, nor would I bring my own treats unless it was approved by Rover and Client.
“I dropped my five-year-old dog off on a Thursday morning and came home on Saturday to pick her up. You could tell she was well cared for from the moment I saw her. Justin and Stephanie sent pictures the entire time and I could tell she was enjoying herself inside and outside. She had space of her own or she could play with all the other dogs that they took very good care of. I will definitely be using Justin and Stephanie again and I would suggest that you do too!”

“Sandra is an excellent sitter! Our dog Chico was very happy to be with her! Definitely we will go back to her as needed and certainly highly recommend Sandra as a pet sitter!”

“Excellent card. I received numerous updates throughout the stay. Zeus was very well taken care of. Susan also accommodated my last minute request to drop him earlier than the booked time.”

We LOVE Shereen! She took such good care of our little Cooper. Her dogs are so loving and friendly, and welcomed ours into their home with no issues of any kind. Shereen obviously loves dogs and treats all of them like kings and queens...which is exactly what we wanted. She's really amazing.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
