“Jermaine took good care of my 7 year old pit bull for a week. He either updated me first or answered my questions in a timely manner when I asked for updates. I also received some pictures throughout the week of my boy. Overall I had a great experience and will be using Jermaine again!”

“Jill & Thomas were amazing dog sitters! Took such great care of our dog and treated him like family. Super reliable, friendly, and kept us updated. Koda loved his staycation!! Highly recommend”

“Brooklyn is absolutely AMAZING with our mini- doxie! She is well loved and taken care while in her care- we get daily pictures, videos, and updates. We are at peace going on vacation out of country knowing our fur baby is so well taken care of 💜”

“We had the absolute pleasure of having Brittany watch our Toby for extended stay while we were on vacation. From the first meet and greet, we were certain we made the right choice as it is apparent Brittany genuinely loves animals and pet sitting. Her beautiful home and farm is such a welcoming place for animals of all kinds and our dog even used the pool for swimming. We really enjoyed the daily pictures and updates from Brittany to put our minds at ease. She even gave our dog a bath at the end. Highly recommend Brittany if you are looking for a loving pet sitter!”

“Rachael was amazing! couldn’t have asked for anything more from her, they would send me updates and pictures multiple times throughout the day and it felt like i left my cat with a friend rather than a stranger. She made poseidon feel very comfortable and welcomed? i would definitely recommend and would 100% use her services again if i ever need a cat sitter. Thank you so much Rachael!”
“Jeren did an amazing job with my dog! She was even flexible with my pick up time when my flight got delayed. Would definitely recommend if your dog likes other dogs and is very shy like mine”

“This was my Shaka's first time with a Sitter since we relocated to Delaware. I was nervous at first because he had not been with a Sitter in over a year since moving here. However, as soon as we had our Meet and Greet with Myra all of that changed. He was nervous at first, but then she took his leash and began talking to him, walking him, rubbing him and giving him toys; I knew that she was the one! He showed me that he trusted her and both of our nerves calmed down. Myra kept me updated with daily texts and photos and I was able to see how relaxed and calm my baby was. I truly appreciate the care and love that Myra gave to my Shaka and I will definitely use her services again. I highly recommend Myra for all of your dog care needs.”

“We were thoroughly impressed with this stay for our puppy Tessa. 1st time for our puppy she seemed happy. This was also her 1st time around other dogs as well. Rackeem was very attentive and she seemed comfortable from the door. He sent us videos and pictures and this help me through the time away. I will definitely use Him again very professional.”

“Our dog Cooper seemed so happy during his overnight boarding. He normally doesn’t eat at first when being boarded but he was enjoying a treat and eating his breakfast within moments of being dropped off. We received thoughtful updates and photos and Cooper was relaxed, comfortable and had settled in so quickly. Fantastic communication and quick responses made our trip stress free; we knew our dog was in good hands!”

“Abigail and her family were great! She was very accommodating and I was able to book with her last minute. I received pictures and videos of Kash while I was gone. Which put me at ease because this was my first time booking with rover. Thank you Abigail for making my first experience the best!!”

“Gina is wonderful! She sent us frequent videos and pictures to keep us posted and we knew our dog was having a good time there. Fifi was so well loved and taken care of during her second time away from us. Fifi definitely enjoyed her stay with Gina and her husband! We will keep using this service in the future.”

“I had to go to a conference. Elizabeth took excellent care of Shelby. She provided pictures and updates while I was gone. Elizabeth was also flexible with the pick up time when my flights were delayed, which caused me to get home much later than expected.”

About: My Work History: My 30 plus career was in Quality and Risk for financial institutions most recently ending a contractor position mid summer of 2023. About Me: I had the opportunity to take a career hiatus after ending a 15 year career to focus on family with the plan to return to work within the year. Then Covid hit. As a result I was fortunate to stay home longer than anticipated and care for our families new addition, our now five year old Bulldog, Boxer, Shepherd Mix. This made me realize the importance of her growth and safety as she flourished with consistency during human connection. I believe this alleviated her diagnosed anxiety and gave her a sense of not only security but happiness. As long as I can remember I have had a passion for connecting with pets and making sure they are not just cared for by feeding and walking, but to also make them feel safe with their caretaker. I believe animals should respect humans and at the same time humans should respect the loyalty, love and health of their pets. My entire life I have owned Chocolate Labrador Retrievers, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and two cats. Most proudly I have raised 5 kids who have had hamsters' and fish while 2 children left them in our care when spending half their time with their other parental unit. Over 4 years ago I hired a trainer for our family dog and have skills that can be put to use to help your dog if they are currently in training. I am familiar with crates and to identify when a dog may not feel safe, anxious and when they give a warning to people to back off if they are not in their best mood. I am familiar with the laws of Delaware for on leash and off leash. I am also happy to give your loyal pet its daily medication during the visit if needed. My years working in Quality, Risk, Mother and Animal owner makes me a great candidate for communicating in a way to effectively resolve any possible difference of opinion and believe that starts with listening and respecting the other person. If at any time you are not satisfied and need me to change a routine or approach I am happy to make those adjustments as long as we both feel comfortable with the outcome. My goal is for you to feel relaxed knowing that I am there to take care of your loyal family pet. Truth be told, having 5 kids that are successful, self-sufficient and polite makes me a great candidate to work with you and your family pet. I am currently a homemaker looking for a new career and my love and history of owning animals (since the age of 11) makes aware of the importance of availability. I care for my own animal with a routine first. Animals feel happy and safe with routines. My dog knows when it's time to go outside, time for a treat and when to play. If that's not built into the daily schedule then that can take a while to acclimate depending on the animal. If I were in a client's home I should not be caught off guard on what they expect and or what they would like to set as a routine. For instance, if I have 2 visits for one home and their animal(s) we would need to know if there is feeding, water, medicine and walking or exercising during each visit. If I notice they are not eating or drinking or playful during those visits I would want to discuss with the client to consider whether or not there are options to help their pet thrive with nutrition. I am also aware of foods that should not be provided to the dog, nor would I bring my own treats unless it was approved by Rover and Client.
About: I grew up on retired farm land, so I gained lots of experience raising and training several dog breeds, all sizes and ages. We rescued and fostered several dogs, cats, and rabbits over the years. As an adult I started fostering dogs and rabbits myself. Until recently, I was fostering primarily dogs. I have 2 shepheards and 2 pitbulls permanently placed in my home, as well as a dwarf rabbit. 2 of my dogs are trained and registered as service animals. I have a very adaptable home with lots of indoor/outdoor play space, as well as space to be separated as needed. I are very particular about keeping our food and water bowls clean with washing every day. I am happy to love you fur babies! There is rarely ever a time my pets are home alone. They all free roam and coexist peacfully, so I have a very calm house usually. We have a go out/walking schedule we follow to ensure proper exercise, as well as a secure feeding routine. My fiancé works full time, so I am the full time caretaker of the animals. Stranger pets in my home are introduced calmly and carefully, as to maintain a safe environment for all. Higher energy dogs meet my shepheards first, calmer animals meet my old boy first. My animals stay leashed infront of guests until a calmness has been reached. I have separate feeding bowls for all animals, water is communal as to resist territorial behavior. If calmness can not be reached, I have space to separate any unrully animals as needed. As a stranger in another animals home, I aproach very calmly and happily to respect their space. I am very adaptable to understanding and applying a feeding/walking schedule. Play time is always important, and my favorite part of the day! Lots of play time and pets are given to fur babies.
“Absolutely professional , greeted us with a smile , on tine upon drop off and pick up . Sent photos to assure my pet was safe and happy . Titus did not want to live Lananda when I came to pick up . 😊😀”
“This was my dog Chase first over night visit with Amrita and her family. I was extremely satisfied with the level of communication, pictures and care Amrita provided me about my dog during his stay. Amrita followed all my little instructions to ensure my dog felt comfortable, he went on lots of walks something my dog adores. The entire family was very friendly kind and just amazing and loves pets. I feel so happy knowing my dog has a new sitter that cared for him providing him tender loving care..We will return again. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in DE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
