About: Ive had dogs for a long time, loved and care for them. Their unconditional love and loyalty to me and my family has made me appreciate the small things and has helped me stay in the moment. I have a lot of respect for pets. I learned how to make healthy dog food, which was better and more economical than the bags you buy at the pet store. I have learned a better diet for my parrots .With cats I have learned you have to listen to them show much they want to interact with you. I am currently available part time to come in and take care of cat or birds. I've had parrots all my life, as well as dogs and in the past 5 years my children have cats which I have taken care of from time to time while they go on vacation. I love to see their different personalities and how they interact with different people. I feel that it is important as a pet sitter to talk to them and care for them during my visit. It is important for you to know as the pet owner getting an update of how the pet is doing. For birds and cats it is important for their dishes, cages, or litters to be cleaned daily. It is also important to talk to them, try to interact, turn lights on, maybe music. Some pets allow you to pet them while others just want to observe you from a distance.

“I can’t say enough great things about Kai!!! This is my first experience using Rover as I did not want to put my boys in a kennel while I was away for a few days. Since my pups are a bit senior I wanted them to be in the comfort of their own home. Kai saw my boys twice a day, was consistent and timely and great at communicating with me how everything was going every time he saw them. I was a little nervous initially with allowing someone in my home while I was out of town, but Kai is completely trustworthy and made sure to lock everything up in between his visits. About: I’ve had pets my whole life and have taken care of them. I currently have 3 cats and 1 dog. Cats are my favorite animals. Full time Aircraft Maintenance Technician and student pilot at Sling Pilot Academy. I work Sunday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm and Monday-Thursday 6:30 am - 3:00 pm. Sue was nice enough to accept my last minute request and we arranged a schedule that would work for both parties. I couldn't be happier. She was great about communicating daily in detailed writing and included photos of Elvis that made me smile. We also communicated via text with consent as needed. Sue was terrific! About: I originally grew up taking care of rabbits,guinea pigs, and chinchillas, which included grooming / shaving/ nail clippings and baths. I even litter trained them myself. I learned at a young age how to be gentle with all types of small animals and the importance of a clean environment. I am also available for exotic animal drop in visit care services (rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas). In my later years I fell in love with dogs and cats. I rescued all of my cats from trees and crawl spaces and learned how to cut their nails as well. When I got my first schnauzer - I learned the joy of training, patience, and positive reinforcement. My favorite thing to do is walk and spend time with animals, so it only makes sense that I create a lifestyle conducive to the things that bring me joy. I love spoiling dogs with special treats and I always talk to them like I would a person because they are so smart and pick up so many words. Walking with dogs outside, playing, chasing squirrels, and the joy of fresh air is my favorite thing to do. No walk is ever long enough for me. I am highly interactive and assertive to animals needs and I know how important positive energy is for their wellness. A good environment allows them to thrive and trust the company they are with. I am currently working part time, and I have a somewhat flexible work schedule, so pet care is something I enjoy and do daily as I have a pup of my own. I share my pup part time with my ex partner, so I have many days available to help take care of other animals. If it was completely up to me I’d have a tiny farm. I love animals so much and walking dogs is my absolute favorite pastime. I live in a one bedroom apartment with my cat Penny. My pup visits me two days a week. My cat is very dog friendly because she is used to my pup visiting twice a week. Fresh water, teeth brushing, home cooked meals/kibble are all things I do and I have stairs for smaller dogs to come on my couch. No areas in my home are off limits to pets.

About: Taking care of dogs and cats since 2012 for friends and family. I am the first person to call when they want their fur babies to be taken care of. I enjoy long walks with them to ensure proper care as I believe a tuckered out pup is a happy and healthy pup. I work freelance and my schedule is incredibly flexible. I started offering my services on Rover recently at the request of many of my clients believing in my quality and caring approach to pet sitting should be offered to more people besides themselves. Growing up, I was always around animals, but unfortunately was never able to have a pet as both of my parents were allergic! Can you believe that?
