“Donny is an exceptional sitter and our cats love him and trust me they are a handful and typically not a fan of strangers but Donny and them developed a connection quickly and always sends pictures and provides updates. We won’t use any other sitter on rover. Highly recommend.”

“Shardae has been wonderful for us and our 4 yr old kitty on her first 3 day sleepover with her. She seems to have taken quickly to Shardae’s home. Snuggled up with her when Shardae would sit down. Receiving updates and photos really helped to calm these pet parents and helped us enjoy our vacation. We now knew we made the right choice in choosing Shardae! 😃🐾”

“Every time Kevin watches Ragnar and Freya, I know they're in the best hands! His detailed updates and care make us feel completely at ease while we're away. The cats clearly adore him, and it's such a relief knowing they're so well taken care of. Highly recommend him for any pet sitting needs!”

“Kebri was fantastic! She took wonderful care of our salty old gal while we were away for 4 days, helping administer medication and fully changing out the litter box. We enjoyed her commentary on her visits and she even left us a sketch of our cat! We'd gladly have her come by to care for Lola again!”

“Fantastic and accommodating sitter for our 5yr old cat. Diwa was on top of keeping us updated while on our trip and was thorough with questions regarding our cat’s needs. 10/10 would work with Diwa again!”

“I would not be able to enjoy a trip unless I knew my two kitties were well-taken care of, and Sami always does that. She followed the detailed instructions on feeders, food portions and mixes, water bowls, play area, toys, and more. My big Bombay is a big chix, but he strolls out to see her when she stops in, because he trusts her.”

“Monica is a GEM! She took care of our two cats and during our first meet and greet I INSTANTLY knew she was something special and our cats were in good paws (ok, hands). Monica writes the most detailed, cute updates after her visits, spendt quality time with our kitties, and we returned to them well fed and happy. We will book Monica again 100%! Thank you, Monica!”

About: Ive had dogs for a long time, loved and care for them. Their unconditional love and loyalty to me and my family has made me appreciate the small things and has helped me stay in the moment. I have a lot of respect for pets. I learned how to make healthy dog food, which was better and more economical than the bags you buy at the pet store. I have learned a better diet for my parrots .With cats I have learned you have to listen to them show much they want to interact with you. I am currently available part time to come in and take care of cat or birds. I've had parrots all my life, as well as dogs and in the past 5 years my children have cats which I have taken care of from time to time while they go on vacation. I love to see their different personalities and how they interact with different people. I feel that it is important as a pet sitter to talk to them and care for them during my visit. It is important for you to know as the pet owner getting an update of how the pet is doing. For birds and cats it is important for their dishes, cages, or litters to be cleaned daily. It is also important to talk to them, try to interact, turn lights on, maybe music. Some pets allow you to pet them while others just want to observe you from a distance.

“I can’t say enough great things about Kai!!! This is my first experience using Rover as I did not want to put my boys in a kennel while I was away for a few days. Since my pups are a bit senior I wanted them to be in the comfort of their own home. Kai saw my boys twice a day, was consistent and timely and great at communicating with me how everything was going every time he saw them. I was a little nervous initially with allowing someone in my home while I was out of town, but Kai is completely trustworthy and made sure to lock everything up in between his visits. I HIGHLY recommend Kai for taking care of your pet(s) when you have to be away from them :)”

“Pilar truly cared about our cats, and was very attentive to their needs. She was commutative throughout our trip, keeping us updated on how are cats were doing while we were away. She was also respectful of our home and left a tidy house. Our kitties would be happy to see her again in the future!”

I typically fly after work 2 times a week between 3-7pm. Looking to make some money on the side to help with my pilot school. I have been caring for animals my whole life. Having many animals has tought me how to take care of them properly and with great care

“Carissa was awesome. She took care of my boy. Thank you very much”

“I needed to find a cat sitter for Elvis (a sweet cat I am fostering) at a short notice and was blessed to discovery Rover. Sue was nice enough to accept my last minute request and we arranged a schedule that would work for both parties. I couldn't be happier. Sue is friendly, trustworthy and responsible and showed up twice a day as agreed to take care of Elvis while we were out of the country. She was great about communicating daily in detailed writing and included photos of Elvis that made me smile. We also communicated via text with consent as needed. Sue was terrific! I was able to enjoy my vacation and have peace of mind knowing that she was making sure that Elvis was cared for and that our house was safe. Sue even went as far as buying Elvis a new swiggle toy which he absolutely loves and some cat treats which she left behind as gifts for her new friend. I highly recommend Sue.”

“Chieko is so caring and compassionate she went above and beyond to help our senior cat this holiday when she noticed the kitty was not eating much; she hand fed her and made sure our kitty was warm and happy. She basically saved our cat’s life and helped us problem solve along the way. We love her so much!”

About: I originally grew up taking care of rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas, which included grooming / shaving/ nail clippings and baths. I even litter trained them myself. I learned at a young age how to be gentle with all types of small animals and the importance of a clean environment. I am also available for exotic animal drop in visit care services (rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas). In my later years I fell in love with dogs and cats. I rescued all of my cats from trees and crawl spaces and learned how to cut their nails as well. When I got my first schnauzer - I learned the joy of training, patience, and positive reinforcement. My favorite thing to do is walk and spend time with animals, so it only makes sense that I create a lifestyle conducive to the things that bring me joy. I love spoiling dogs with special treats and I always talk to them like I would a person because they are so smart and pick up so many words. Walking with dogs outside, playing, chasing squirrels, and the joy of fresh air is my favorite thing to do. No walk is ever long enough for me. I am highly interactive and assertive to animals needs and I know how important positive energy is for their wellness. A good environment allows them to thrive and trust the company they are with. I am currently working part time, and I have a somewhat flexible work schedule, so pet care is something I enjoy and do daily as I have a pup of my own. I share my pup part time with my ex partner, so I have many days available to help take care of other animals. If it was completely up to me I’d have a tiny farm. I love animals so much and walking dogs is my absolute favorite pastime. I live in a one bedroom apartment with my cat Penny. My pup visits me two days a week. My cat is very dog friendly because she is used to my pup visiting twice a week. Fresh water, teeth brushing, home cooked meals/kibble are all things I do and I have stairs for smaller dogs to come on my couch. No areas in my home are off limits to pets.

“Stephanie is a great communicator. Everything was clear before the visit and she sent great updates about the cats when I was away. You can tell she put care into making sure they were played with and all their needs were met during the visit. Thanks for taking care of them!”

“Excellent in home kitty care. Caitlin spent nearly a week looking after our 9 year old quirky kitty babies. She was kind enough to take the time prior to my departure to come over and meet the kitties and I. From the moment I met Caitlin I could sense that she had all the right kind of calm energy that our cats require and appreciate. She was very attentive to all the little details that go into their daily routine. She sent daily updates along with photos of my furry couch potatoes living their best lives. I could see that they were content and possibly not missing me at all which is a wonderful thing. Upon my return I found the house just as clean if not cleaner as when I left. The cats happily greeted me and we immediately settled in. Overall, Caitlin is someone who has the ability and patience to pick up on your pet’s individual needs. She is a great communicator, trustworthy and kind. We’d definitely like to work with Caitlin again in the future.”

About: Taking care of dogs and cats since 2012 for friends and family. I am the first person to call when they want their fur babies to be taken care of. I enjoy long walks with them to ensure proper care as I believe a tuckered out pup is a happy and healthy pup. I work freelance and my schedule is incredibly flexible. I started offering my services on Rover recently at the request of many of my clients believing in my quality and caring approach to pet sitting should be offered to more people besides themselves. Growing up, I was always around animals, but unfortunately was never able to have a pet as both of my parents were allergic! Can you believe that? I treat every pet as my own and channel the same thoughtfulness I had as a child for every sitting job. I go beyond expectations with each client to meet their needs and wants for their fur babies. When sitting, respecting homes is also a priority for me as I am a total neat freak and would expect the same in return if someone was watching my pets.

“Gabe has taken care of our dogs several times for both long weekends and longer term (over 7 days) stays. He can handle multiple pets at once with ease and handles all key responsibilities like taking them for walks, feeding them, and making sure they have water. He’s also super loving to them and we can tell he plays with them and takes them for nice walks based on the frequent photo updates he sends.
