About: After taking a Rover hiatus, we are back and ready to provide house sitting and/or drop in visits/care. Both Farhad and Jen have years of experience with dogs, cats, birds, fish, and many different farm animals. We will care for your pets consistently and safely. We are happy to try to accommodate any routines that will help your pets be comfortable. In addition to being life long pet parents, Jen fostered for a local animal shelters, and we babysat service dogs in training. We also have lots of experience with indoor and outdoor plants, gardens, both personally and as WWOOF volunteers. We are happy to help keep your green babies alive in your absence. We both have flexible schedules and regularly work from home, so we can easily accommodate pet needs any time of day. Please inquire about any special requests. About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, which has given me extensive experience in caring for them. In addition, I’ve volunteered at the Aurora Animal Shelter and the Animal Friends Alliance in Fort Collins, CO. At the Animal Friends Alliance, I received specialized training to work with "purple" dogs—those who are mildly reactive, easily overstimulated, difficult to manage, or have bad manners. This experience has given me the skills to work with dogs that require a little extra care, and I’m more than capable of handling them! I also have experience administering medication to dogs! I currently work full-time for an event company, so most days I will be gone for up to 8 hours. I primarily work in the evenings, which means I’m available to care for your pet during the day and can return at night just in time to cuddle with them as we sleep. However, if you're looking for all-day care, my days off are Monday and Tuesday! When caring for a client's pet, I make sure to follow any instructions provided to the letter. I understand that the client knows their pet best, and adhering to their guidance ensures the pet is as comfortable as possible while their owner is away and helps keep the client satisfied with my care. If no specific instructions are given, and I have any questions regarding the pet’s needs, I will reach out to the client for clarification. This ensures I create a safe and comfortable environment for both myself and the pet I’m looking after.

“This was our second time having Micki look after our two cats. She's easy to work with and makes the effort to check out the house first and get her bearings right. Have come back home twice now to our cats happy and the litters and food areas clean. Her schedule is also great and haven't had issues locking in visits over two long trips.”
