About: Greetings! We look forward to the opportunity of taking care of your pooch! My husband, Paul, and I have decades of experience with animals, especially dogs and rabbits. We also have the great opportunity of working remotely and teleworking for our full time jobs. We live beside a 2-mile walking trail for convenient and off-road dog walking within nature, which helps to alleviate your dog’s initial adjustment from being away from home. Your pet will never be left in an empty and strange house. We spend quality time with our own fur babies, who are always near us during the day, so we can tailor time to anxious dogs. We can manage feeding and walking schedules, which help your fur babies stay in a consistent schedule. We have a fully fenced-in yard (front and back). The front door opens to the fenced-in front yard, so there is no chance of dogs escaping.
About: I've had cats my entire life. I've cared for friends' and neighbors cats and dogs and love going for walks and playing with dogs/cats of all ages! I work from home so I have flexibility to meet the needs of your schedule. I am available early in the morning, afternoons, and evenings. As a former pet owner, I understand the stress that comes with finding someone compatible and dedicated enough to watch over your loved ones while you are away. I have also worked with rescues and difficult to deal with dogs and cats. Please do not worry about the size of your dog, I am very comfortable caring for large dogs as well as small. I have recently graduated from Roanoke college, so I will have plenty of time to play with, care for, and love on your pets while you are away. Seeing your pets happy makes me happy! I am very detail oriented so there is no need to worry about whether your pet has received their medication or if they will escape the house or yard. I always triple check to ensure their needs have been met, from feeding to walking to medication – with the addition of playtime and treats.

About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats and have cared for several family members’ pets for over 20 years! I’m a huge animal lover and miss having one of my own. I’m a stay-at-home-mom of 3 kids so I have plenty of time to walk and play! My schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available on weekends. I have an unfenced yard and live 20 feet from the Crozet trail system, right next to Claudius Crozet Park. We don’t have any pets of our own but my three kids (ages 4, 5 & 6) are very active and will play all day with your pet. My sister is a vet at Dominion Animal Hospital so I have immediate access to professional help if needed!
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my experience with both energetic dogs and senior pets. I currently care for a 12 year old German Shorthaired Pointer, so I have firsthand experience managing high energy levels, from his puppy years through his senior stage, while also being attentive to the extra care older dogs need. I can balance exercise, routine, and care. In addition, I have two 14 year old cats and experience feeding cats and maintaining clean litter boxes. I also enjoy running and I have experience running with my GSP. Hello! I am currently abroad on an extended vacation and temporarily unable to accept new Rover bookings. I will return on September 30th and will be fully available starting October 1st for dog walking, drop in visits, and house sitting. About: I have been dog sitting and walking since I was 15 years old. I love dogs of all sizes, but have most experience with dogs 50+ lbs. I even walk my brothers 140 lb Great Dane! I am currently a stay at home mother to my sweet girl, Willow. We are always looking for ways to get out of the house to go on adventures and stay busy. At this time I am not accepting pets for care in our home. With a baby and two big dogs it would prove pretty difficult!
About: I grew up with dogs, cats, goats, chickens, pigs, peacocks. You name it. I’ve been a huge fan of animals since I can remember. I’m super active outside and love taking pups out on hikes or walks. My last dog had to take meds so I’m also extra sensitive to pups that may need more present care. I’ve dog sat and house sat for many years before and just recently decided to give rover a try. I’m also a photographer so pics of your sweet pea will be guaranteed! I’m a photographer so my schedule varies. Sometimes I’m on a shoot or at home editing. I work part time at a restaurant wed-Friday so am unavailable those evenings. I am generous with my love with pets if they want that. If they are shy I will absolutely listen to what they need and let them warm up to me at their own pace. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
