I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats and have cared for several family members’ pets for over 20 years! I’m a huge animal lover and miss having one of my own. I’m a stay-at-home-mom of 3 kids so I have plenty of time to walk and play! My schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available on weekends. I have an unfenced yard and live 20 feet from the Crozet trail system, right next to Claudius Crozet Park. We don’t have any pets of our own but my three kids (ages 4, 5 & 6) are very active and will play all day with your pet. My sister is a vet at Dominion Animal Hospital so I have immediate access to professional help if needed!

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my experience with both energetic dogs and senior pets. I currently care for a 12 year old German Shorthaired Pointer, so I have firsthand experience managing high energy levels, from his puppy years through his senior stage, while also being attentive to the extra care older dogs need. I can balance exercise, routine, and care. In addition, I have two 14 year old cats and experience feeding cats and maintaining clean litter boxes. I also enjoy running and I have experience running with my GSP. I’m currently working at a tax accounting firm in Charlottesville through the end of tax season on April 15, 2026, so my Rover availability is limited until then. Starting April 16, 2026, I’ll be a lot more flexible since my seasonal position ends! I’ll have completely open weekday availability for dog walks, drop-in visits, and checking in on houses or cats. On some weekends I stay in town and can do dog walking or house sitting, but it varies. You’re always welcome to reach out about weekend care but I just can’t promise I’ll be around every time. About: I’ve always been a dog person! I’ve raised multiple puppies and have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages. I would be happy to hang with any and all dogs! About: Not only did I grow up with 2-3 dogs in the house, but my mom has worked for a dog rescue the last 10 years. My family has fostered more than 100 dogs ranging from newborn puppies to end of life care for senior dogs. I have helped with everything from feeding, cleaning, creating enrichment, and exercising dogs of all sizes and ages. I am currently taking time off of work before I move abroad for graduate school in September so am completely flexible! I will have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets health and happiness! About: Lifelong dog owner with decades of experience caring for dogs both big and small. I work from home and am able to provide maximum companionship and plenty of exercise. Boarders or daycare get 2-3 walks/day, dozens of photos, and lots of love of course! I provide toys, bowls, a dog bed, treats, poop bags and a backup leash. A tired dog is a good dog :) feel free to bring your pet’s crate if you’d like! I grew up with border collies and labs, then rescued my own dogs in adulthood. I own my own home on a quiet circle street. My yard is an expansive quarter acre of grass with access to miles of mowed walking paths off my backyard. When a visit starts, I like to take the dogs on a “Welcome Walk” to get acquainted in neutral outdoor space. I prioritize safety and clear communication (with owners and dogs!) to create a comfortable experience for all. I look forward to taking care of your wonderful pets! I work from home, so I am flexible for drop-ins, last-minute needs, or regular walks, and can give your dog consistent companionship…and some fun of course! About: I am a huge lover of dogs of all kinds, from chihuahua to doberman. I love to play with them all. I have two dogs whom I love with all my heart. My dog Chip is an 80 pound ball of anxiety who is afraid of dogs a fourth of his size. I also have a golden doodle named Huitzi. She is very loving and kind and has been trained to be a therapy dog. I love spending time with both of them and enjoy their unique personalities. I often walk them in the beautiful parks and trails in the Crozet area, and have become good at handling dogs with difficult personalities. I have an unfenced yard and live 20 feet from the Crozet trail system, right next to Claudius Crozet Park. We don’t have any pets of our own but my three kids (ages 4, 5 & 6) are very active and will play all day with your pet. My sister is a vet at Dominion Animal Hospital so I have immediate access to professional help if needed!

Our dog has not yet learned to be off leash, so she had a great idea to let him roam around and play in the closed off barn with the other dogs. He came super happy and worn out.
