About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats and have cared for several family members’ pets for over 20 years! I’m a huge animal lover and miss having one of my own. I’m a stay-at-home-mom of 3 kids so I have plenty of time to walk and play! My schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available on weekends. I have an unfenced yard and live 20 feet from the Crozet trail system, right next to Claudius Crozet Park. We don’t have any pets of our own but my three kids (ages 4, 5 & 6) are very active and will play all day with your pet. My sister is a vet at Dominion Animal Hospital so I have immediate access to professional help if needed!
“Maddie was prompt, early even, and spent extra time with our girl which was nice because she suffers from separation anxiety and my husband and I were gone longer than usual. Would recommend Maddie!”

“Mary is great with my dog. She’s reliable, flexible and communicative. I have nothing to worry about when I go out of town when Mary is caring for my dog. My dog is a little particular and requires lots of patience to gain her trust, and Mary understands her needs and has built that trust. Highly recommend!”

“Julia was so kind when my apartment locks her out she stayed with Randall until I could get there to let them in and also offered to take him to her home to watch him until I could get to them, luckily I was 10 minutes away at work and got to them quickly, but if it hadn’t been for her, my dog would’ve been locked out of his own”

“Dakota connects well with our dog Patrick and is able to re-direct him when he wants to just turn around and come home. Our pup can be just one small ball of over excitement and exuberance and they handle that well. Dakota has been very reliable and always lets me know if he needs to adjust the time a bit.”

“Amy is the best! She is amazing with my dog who isn’t the easiest. She found a loose dog during one of her check-ins with us and even helped that dog/made sure it got to the right people and then spent extra time with mine. 💕”

“Allison has been so great with our 6 month old pup. It is such a relief to be able to leave him with someone trustworthy and competent like Allison on the days we have to work. I recommend her whole-heartedly!”

Having animals myself I understand the need to have a trustworthy caretaker while away! I look forward to become your pets new friend! I currently work 30/32 hours a week usually during the early mornings or mid afternoons. I have usually offered early morning walks or evening walks to those in need! I am able to do overnights as well, but always check to make sure the animals will be okay while I work! I have always tried to take care of the pets in the exact way the client has asked. About: I am a huge lover of dogs of all kinds, from chihuahua to doberman. I love to play with them all. I have two dogs whom I love with all my heart. My dog Chip is an 80 pound ball of anxiety who is afraid of dogs a fourth of his size. I also have a golden doodle named Huitzi. She is very loving and kind and has been trained to be a therapy dog. I love spending time with both of them and enjoy their unique personalities. I often walk them in the beautiful parks and trails in the Crozet area, and have become good at handling dogs with difficult personalities. I believe dogs should be treated with love and with respect to their nature.
“Erin is extremely friendly and kind. My Lexi loves spending time with Erin and taking walks with her. I'm very happy with Erin and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their pets.”

“Excellent care and attention! Left a long detailed note about the walk and sent very cute pictures. Great communication and super pleasant. We will definitely book with Kayci again for sure. Thanks so much Kayci!!”

About: I was born and raised around dogs and know how they are true members of the family and deserve that care. I've pet sit many times from puppies to seniors, given pets their medication, stayed overnight with anxious pups, and I've even taken a dog first aid class to ensure I give your pets the best treatment. I am currently on a flexible daily schedule and can be available to take care of your pet whenever you may need weekday or weekend! I know sometimes our pets can be a bit mischievous, so I am always vigilant in monitoring the pet's activities and ensuring they are in a safe and comforting environment.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your White Hall. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in White Hall.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in White Hall. On Rover:
- 98% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
