I’m currently working at a tax accounting firm in Charlottesville through the end of tax season on April 15, 2026, so my Rover availability is limited until then. Starting April 16, 2026, I’ll be a lot more flexible since my seasonal position ends! I’ll have completely open weekday availability for dog walks, drop-in visits, and checking in on houses or cats. On some weekends I stay in town and can do dog walking or house sitting, but it varies. You’re always welcome to reach out about weekend care but I just can’t promise I’ll be around every time. Have questions or want to check availability? Send me a message and I'd love to chat and see how I can help! A couple of heads-ups: I’ll be at the beach from May 25–29, 2026, and unavailable for Rover services during that time. I also plan to go inactive on Rover after June 10, 2026.

A typical day
My favorite walk is a nice lap around Crozet Park! If you have a high‑energy dog, I’m also happy to chat about doggie runs or special outings to Mint Springs for a hike. Those adventures take a bit more planning and time, but hiking is one of my favorite pastimes and a great way to give energetic pups some extra enrichment!

Pet care experience
What sets me apart from other sitters is my experience with both energetic dogs and senior pets. I currently care for a 12 year old German Shorthaired Pointer, so I have firsthand experience managing high energy levels, from his puppy years through his senior stage, while also being attentive to the extra care older dogs need. I can balance exercise, routine, and care. In addition, I have two 14 year old cats and experience feeding cats and maintaining clean litter boxes. I also enjoy running and I have experience running with my GSP.

Hermione took fantastic care of our special-needs dog and our cat while we were away. Our dog is almost 10 years old, has epilepsy, and requires medication twice a day, along with a lot of love and attention-and Hermione was absolutely wonderful with him. We received updates from her and we were able to relax and know that our pup was in good hands. She also did a great job taking care of our cat. We came home to a clean litter box and a very happy cat. We highly recommend Hermione for your pet care needs, as she is reliable, attentive and truly caring with animals.
I have watched Hermi interact with dogs since the day she was born, and frankly, I think she might actually be part canine. We’ve had dogs her entire life, and she has been a faithful companion/owner. She’s responsible, incredibly patient, and will likely treat your dog better than she treats me. If you want someone who will give your dog 110% of her attention, look no further, Hermi is the one to call for your pups next sit!
Hermi said s the most responsible, kind, dependable, caring person. She is reliable and a great communicator! Our Frenchie loves her walks because they really play and go far! She is great if you need a caring person to take care of your pups!
Hermione was great! She took amazing care of my two dogs. She even took extra care to look after Koda and accommodate his arthritis. Hermione was also very communicative- responding quickly and making the whole process incredibly easy. I would highly recommend her and will definitely be booking with her again!
