“Maral dropped in on our puppy for an hour while we had to be out of the house for the day. Beforehand, she asked if we wanted help with training, which was fine by us, and she proceeded to send us multiple videos of the she was using while giving him a walk. He was having a great time while learning - Maral is absolutely recommended.”

“Andy was great with our special needs kitty while we were away! He gave Buster lots of attention, managed his multiple feedings a day of wet and dry prescription food, and administered his daily oral medication without fuss. We were reassured by the many sweet photos Andy sent of Buster and himself along with updates. We couldn't be more pleased with Buster's care, Andy's attention to detail, and the neatness of our house on our return. We will definitely use Andy's help again in the future!”

About: I live in Mill Valley and have two dogs of my own— both are pity type mixes that were rescued. I know what it means to take good care of beloved pets. I have many years of experience, both dog sitting and housesitting. I love taking dogs for walks and hikes and spend quite a bit of time with my own dogs up on Mount Tam. I’m currently not working so I have lots of available time for dog walks, sitting and house sitting. I do not do group dog walking so your dog will get the best one on one attention. I’m happy to support special needs as well. I prefer to take care of dogs in their own home as I find this is most comfortable for them. I like to deeply understand the owners preferences and needs so that I can make sure the dogs are happy.

About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter? Beyond the walks and cuddles, it's my personalized care and deep affection for every animal I meet. I understand that each pet, from playful puppies to serene seniors, has its own unique set of needs, and I’m here to ensure they’re met with love and professionalism. Puppies are my jam—I love laying the groundwork for good behavior with positive reinforcement techniques, focusing on everything from basic commands to potty training. For the senior pets, I dial up the TLC, adjusting our activities to their comfort level and keeping a vigilant eye on their health. But it doesn’t stop there. I’m also the go-to sitter for pets with special needs, adept at managing specific diets, medication schedules, and post-op care with precision and care. What really sets me apart? My experience with reptiles and other exotic animals. From bearded dragons to birds, I understand the unique care these special pets require. Whether it’s maintaining the perfect habitat, understanding dietary needs, or simply knowing how to handle them safely and affectionately, I ensure your exotic friends are in knowledgeable hands. I believe in keeping you in the loop with regular updates, photos, and video calls, so you always know how your pet is doing. In essence, my combination of skills in training, senior care, special needs management, and experience with a wide range of animals, including exotics, paired with a commitment to open, caring communication, makes me the ideal choice for pet parents seeking comprehensive, loving care for their diverse furry (and scaly) family members. Pet care is a key part of my daily routine. I start mornings with walks and feeding, ensuring pets kick off their day right. Early afternoons are perfect for extra attention, playtime, or cuddles, and evenings are for final walks and making sure pets are cozy for the night. I'm flexible throughout the week to fit in any special pet needs like vet visits. For me, caring for pets is not just about scheduling; it's a passion that brings joy and love into every day, ensuring your pets always get the best care. 1. Pet Sitting (Overnight Stays): Routine Maintenance: I stick to the pet's regular feeding, walking (for dogs), playtime, and sleeping schedule to keep them comfortable and secure. Companionship: Plenty of attention, interactive play for cats, and cuddles are provided to ensure they feel loved and less anxious about their owner's absence. Housekeeping: The pet’s area is kept clean, including managing litter boxes for cats and ensuring dogs have a designated outdoor area for relief. 2. Dog Walking: Customized Walks: Walks are tailored to each dog's fitness level and personality, from slow walks for older dogs to more energetic outings for younger ones. For cats, indoor play sessions mimic the hunting experience, keeping them physically and mentally stimulated. Safety First: Secure leashes and harnesses are used for dogs, and I ensure they stay hydrated. Indoor play for cats is made safe by removing dangerous objects and ensuring they don't ingest small parts. Behavior Monitoring: Good behavior is reinforced in dogs during walks, and I observe cats' play to ensure they are engaged but not overstimulated. 3. Drop-In Visits: Essential Care: These visits cover feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes for cats, and taking dogs out for a quick walk or backyard play. Health Check: I conduct a brief health check for both dogs and cats, noting any changes in appetite, energy, or behavior. Security Check: I ensure your home is secure and that each pet is safely accounted for before leaving. Communication is a cornerstone of my service. Owners receive updates, photos, and videos to stay connected with their pets’ well-being. My ultimate goal is to ensure that every dog and cat under my care feels secure, engaged, and loved in their home environment, maintaining their routine and providing peace of mind to their owners.

“Kristen is exactly who you want to care for your cat. Above and beyond, friendly, and dependable. We are new to the area, and my cat is still establishing his territory, cat door busted and some coordination with the gardners and cat door situation had me stressed but she solved the issue and Frankie came back and I am extremely grateful that she was there. Pretty amazing for the first visit! 😸”

“Ella is an exceptional dogsitter & person, and that was evident within mere hours of meeting her! Ella came over to get to know my dogs before a couple weekday walks and it was clear that she is a true dog lover at heart. I have one dog who is a total lover and another who’s a bit moody, but she was able to connect with both of them right away. She was attentive, kind, and I could tell she really cared about doing a great job and providing the best possible care for my pets. When I left town a few days later, I reached out to her in a panic when I needed someone local to come help out with an issue unrelated to dogsitting. She had yet to even complete our first booking, but since I knew she lived nearby I texted her in a last ditch effort. She responded instantly and literally saved the day by stepping in to help out when she absolutely did not need to. She was gracious and kind, and I truly don’t know what I would’ve done without her! Since then, she’s created a close bond with both my pets and become a household name we speak of fondly. She goes above and beyond in everything she does and I feel so lucky to have found her.”

About: While I’m new to professional pet sitting, I bring a lifelong love for animals and hands on experience caring for both cats and dogs. I’ve grown up with pets and have been a dedicated cat and dog owner for years. I currently own an eight year old Chihuahua and three cats of varying ages. I understand how much love, patience, and attention our pet family requires. I’ve cat-sat for friends and am comfortable with feeding routines, litter boxes, walks, playtime, and giving lots of love! I would love to take on jobs for dogs as well! I recently started volunteering at Marin Humane Society, where I learned about animal behavior, care, and enrichment from professionals. My long-term goal is to study Animal Science and pursue a career in animal care. I’m reliable, compassionate, and always happy to tailor my care to your pet’s unique needs and quirks. Pet care is already a big part of my daily life! I take care of one dog and three cats every day, making sure they’re well fed, loved, and active. I feed them in the morning and evening, play with them using their favorite toys, and walk the dog daily. Caring for animals isn’t just a task for me, it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize throughout my day. It brings me a lot of joy and keeps me in tune with what pets need to feel safe, happy, and well cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine consistent so they feel safe and comfortable in their own space. I make sure to follow all instructions closely whether it’s feeding schedules, walk times, play preferences, or any special needs. I always treat the client’s home with respect and keep things clean and organized. I give pets lots of love, attention, and enrichment while also being mindful of their comfort levels especially if they’re shy or adjusting to someone new. My goal is to make their time without you as stress free and happy as possible.

My hope is that these intuitive and intentional skills will help assist in a loving and nurturing approach to your pets care needs. I look forward to the opportunity to take care of your special fur-family member and home. About: I have a 9 year old goldendoodle at home with my parents. Before getting him when I was 13 years old, I had been begging my parents for 5 years. I would walk other peoples dogs, write essays, research on how to train and take care of dogs. Eventually my parents gave in but they made me do all the work (which I was so happy to do). I walked him, taught him how to swim, went on many hiking adventures, and even ended up training him to be a therapy dog. Now he is older, I love to snuggle him, take him on slow morning walks, and just sit by his side outside. I just moved to San Francisco and am missing my dog dearly so I would love to help you take care of your dog or pet. I currently am working full time so I am available any day after 5:30pm. I am also available all day on the weekends. I cannot house pets in my current apartment but I am willing to travel. I will take care of your pets by your directions. In my home we feed my dog twice a day, he's not allowed to go into certain parts of the home, has to sit and ask to go outside. For walks, I trained my dog to walk on leash with no pulling or off leash. I am comfortable with whatever and will follow your direction and rules for your dog. Consistency is key for pet behavior

Jodi S.
“This is a recommendation for Jodi Sand Sandvan. Jodi masterfully took care of our senior dog Raja, a Schnauzer Poodle, for a couple weeks recently… She also housesat our home in the Oakland Hills. Not only was Raja exceptionally happy and healthy with all the attention and love she received under Jodi’s care but the house was immaculate… Anyone who has ever left their beloved pet at a kennel during an away trip knows how hard that can be. Jodi’s kind and knowledgeable experience has made me feel confident and trusting leaving my ‘family member’ in her hands while we get a much needed and stress free vacation! Jodi’s time with Raja was really a great gift to us all!”
