“Great communication and followed all directions to a tee! He cared for the house well and treated our dogs like his own. We have a quite elderly Dane with very specific medical needs, and Trenton did a great job. Very impressed!”
“Ehlaura took good care of our two golden retrievers and the house! Everything was in good order and the dogs were happy when we returned. I’d have no problem contacting her again.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for about 10 years now. I own 3 dogs myself and take care of them everyday. I have also worked at an overnight boarding place for animals, volunteered at animal shelters, fed many pets, walked many dogs, and I hope to continue bettering animals. I am currently working a part-time job however, i am available after 4:30pm on weekdays. I am fully available on weekends! Please send me a message if you are confused about my availability! I will make sure your pets have everything they need whether that’s attention, belly rubs, extra potty breaks, long walks, or even a cuddle buddy
“Halley was awesome! Super responsive and very kind. She treated our house with respect and our little beagle was a happy fella when we got home! Hoping to stay in touch with Halley for our dog sitting!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was in 7th grade (now a recent college graduate!!) and am looking to start searching for clients consistently again. I’ve watched over cats and dogs and also have experience with with both species that required medication. Growing up with two diabetic cats (and then some) allowed me to learn how to administer insulin by myself and how to administer pills. Being able to trust someone with your pet is hard and knowing they’re in good hands is a huge stress reliever. My goal is to not only to watch over and care for your pet(s), but to take the weight off your shoulders when you aren’t able to be home with them. I am currently looking for a full time job and being a pet sitter will allow me to earn a little extra on the side. I do not board pets as I don't have a current permanent residence of my own (living with my partner and their family), but am more than willing to stay overnight in a clients home. I ensure safety by checking in on a clients pet regularly should I not be needed 24/7 and make sure to not only watch, but care for the clients pet. My visits (when sleeping over isn’t required) typically range from 1 hour or a little over to be able to spend quality time with a clients pet(s), especially when the owner is gone for a longer period of time.
“Sara did an amazing job. She met with us and our (very old and needy) dogs. They all took to her immediately, and our husky is very shy! She sent photos and kept in great contact with us. The house was also left spotless. 10 out of 10 recommend!! We will definitely call her again.”

“We had such a great experience with Michelle. She was reliable, caring, and kept us updated. Our 3 Doodles were happy, well cared for, and clearly comfortable with her. We’ll absolutely book again and highly recommend! Thank you, Michelle!!!!!!”

About: Hi! I’m Lyric, and I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life. I grew up with pets and have turned that lifelong love into professional experience. I spent a year working at a pet boarding facility and currently work in a veterinary emergency hospital, where I help care for pets and support their families every day. Whether your pet enjoys walks, playtime, or simply having a calm companion while you’re away, I’ll treat them with the same patience, kindness, and respect I’d want for my own. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! Pet care is already a big part of my daily life! I currently work nights at a veterinary emergency hospital, which leaves my daytime and early mornings open for walks, drop-in visits, and spending quality time with your pets. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications (if needed), walks, playtime, and any special instructions you provide. I’ll treat both your pet and your home with the same care and respect I would my own.

I currently have two cats of my own and grew up with Rottweilers & Cane Corsos! So I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your furry family members. I’m comfortable feeding, walking, playing, cleaning up after pets, and making sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I pay close attention to routines and pet personalities so they can stay comfortable and happy! I’m a college student with a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Whether your pet needs a quick drop-in visit, playtime, feeding, walks, or companionship while you’re away, I’m committed to being dependable and communicative. I do my best to accommodate different schedules and provide updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away from your pet! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, maintain clean and secure environments, and make sure pets receive plenty of attention and care. As a cat owner myself, I understand how important routines, patience, and trust are when caring for animals. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to create a calm, safe, and loving experience for them!
“Keyana was amazing! It looks like I never left and my pets are happy and healthy. She did a great job with comminution, even in the early morning. If she's available, book her ASAP! You won't regret it!”

“This is the second time we have used Jordyn to watch our pups and she is amazing! We don’t have to worry about a thing when we are gone and we always come back to the house being just as we left it. Highly recommend!”

About: This is the first time in my life I have no pets and I miss all the snuggles and fun and love we give each other. My kitties have since all died and I miss having them around. I cannot have any at my home currently, soooo I want to take care of yours! I have had kitties since I was 5 years old so they have Always been in my life, for the past 40 years. (I recently supplemented by going to the local cat cafe several times a week to get my kitty fix!) My family also had a Chow Chow dog growing up as well! As an adult I have had my own kitties that I was solely responsible for since I was 20 years old. I have fostered a litter of kittens and foster failed (and gained the love of my live - my Dinah who lived for 18 years). For kitties, I can expertly handle feedings, watering, administering pills, subcutaneuous fluids, and playing with them and snuggling and loving them as they allow. :) For Dogs, I have pet sit small and mid size to somewhat large dogs, staying with them overnight to snuggle, feed, water, take on walks and play! And cleaning up their messes. :) I am open to stopping by to let your pups out for a bathroom break and feedings and some playtime as well as overnight stays. How can I help keep your puppies and kitties safe, well and loved? For stop-ins, I am available mornings 7 days a week. I am available evenings after 8pm or 9pm (Mon-Thurs), and a bit earlier Fri-Sun. I can do midday stop-ins on Mon, Wed and Thurs, and some Fridays. My schedule varies a bit but I am available most weekends. And as long as I am in town, I can do any overnights needed! Message me to verify! I can care for your animals in your own home! Let me know what they need and I will follow instructions needed for your specific situation.
“Caroline was wonderful! She was very communicative and kept us updated while we were away, which we really appreciated. We would definitely recommend her and would happily use her again in the future.”

“Anna was absolutely wonderful! She was very friendly and highly skilled with caring for dogs, Anna stayed at my house while I was away, and she bonded with my dog instantly. I was completely impressed with her ability to interact and connect with my dog. Anna was really good with following through with my requests regarding my dogs diet, and she followed up with me right away with any concerns. Anna is very reliable, trustworthy and honest, I highly recommend Anna to care for anyone’s pets. And FYI, she also willingly and lovingly cared for and fed my bird. Leaving my dog is hard for me, my heart aches to leave him behind, I never imagined I would find someone who could love my dog much ad I do, but Anna 100% exceeded my expectations.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Tabb
Craig was amazing. He communicated with us whenever we had questions. My two dogs, Maddie and Marley liked him immediately. Craig kept me informed throughout our absence and sent pictures each day. Our home was spotless upon our return and my pups happy. We highly recommend Craig as a petsitter and we've already booked him for our next adventure.

Erin watched my pets for four nights and did a fantastic job. She was respectful of my home, kept me updated with great communication, and gave me real peace of mind while I was out of town. I came home to happy pets and everything just as I left it. I would definitely book with her again!

Anya did an amazing job watching our two dogs, Hagrid and Chewy, for five days while we were on vacation. She took excellent care of both of them, kept our house clean, and provided frequent updates that gave us peace of mind while we were away. Her communication was outstanding, and it was clear our dogs were happy and well cared for. We would absolutely recommend Anya to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy pet sitter, and we would gladly use her services again in the future.
Sarai took excellent care of our little crew. She communicated throughout the entire stay providing photos and updates. She cleaned up after our kitty had a suspected seizure (known condition). Sarai was respectful of our home. We are very happy to have her back in the future.

Sara stayed overnight for the weekend with my four dogs. Two of them are seniors, and they were well cared for and comfortable the whole time. They have a routine they like to stick to, with several medications and special diets. We received pictures and updates multiple times a day and were confident in their care!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Tabb on Rover is $38.85 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Tabb walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Tabb maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tabb choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
