“Kyle was fantastic with our Bella; she had plenty of walks and company while we were away. Kyle was an excellent house sitter as well and even swept up before he left. We felt comfortable and grateful to leave Bella and our home in his care.”

“Madison did well with 7-up. She provided updates and photos to let us know he was doing fine. She allowed our trip out of town to be worry free knowing 7-up was being cared for.”

“Logan was super accommodating to our last minute travel plans and helped make a very stressful situation much better! Our dog seemed to have a great time and was well cared for, and it provided peace of mind having Logan care for him in our home while we were gone, check our mail, get our packages, etc. We loved seeing the pictures of him playing outside every day!”

“Anna Mei, was great and communication, scheduling, and keeping us a ease. We have never left our fur babies alone and they can hanve an attttittttude!!!! She was able to handle all of their boycotting, rebellion antics, and corks when we were away. We will be booking her, if she let's us. She was great. 😃”

About: I have always been expected to care of my own pets from a very young age and now mine live with me at college:) I love it so much I even created my own dog poop cleaning up business in sixth grade! Anything I could ever do to help someone with their pet is so rewarding, and I understand needing to travel and see the world or visit family as I have moved around a ton when I was younger. I’m super excited to join the app! Having my animals in college has helped me ensure I build a healthy schedule not only for myself, but also them! The way I love a routine, so do they. I try to get up around the same time each day and feed dinner around the same time also. My dogs don’t eat lunch, but I have cared for animals that have and it’s all about craving that extra important time for them to ensure they feel comfortable, especially with family gone. I love the outdoors and walks during the summer so doing that is the least I could do for my babies. I’m a very flexible and communicative person which hopefully sets up the best care:) I want to be as respectful as possible, and since working at a clients home I would want to make sure I know what works best for your animal. If is a lot of outside time, space, treats, being in the crate while gone or not. anything! I can totally work around that because I want you to have peace of mind for your home and pet:)
“Sara did an amazing job. She met with us and our (very old and needy) dogs. They all took to her immediately, and our husky is very shy! She sent photos and kept in great contact with us. The house was also left spotless. 10 out of 10 recommend!! We will definitely call her again.”

“Caroline was wonderful! She was very communicative and kept us updated while we were away, which we really appreciated. We would definitely recommend her and would happily use her again in the future.”

“It was our first time using a dog sitting service and Leah exceeded all our expectations! She is very friendly and our pets loved being with her while we were away. She was quick to communicate any questions we had and sent us pictures and videos of our babies in her care each day. Would highly recommend her for anyone's pets!”

“Wow! Jordyn was an amazing pet sitter. She did a great job taking care of are of bronco I think he wasn’t even happy to see us when we came home!! I will def be rebooking with her again. Great all around!”

About: I signed up to help others care for their pets because I use Rover as well. Having a trusted individual available to care for our furry friends is important. I provide excellent pet care service for others. I will inquire about your pet’s personality, special needs, likes and dislikes. I will professionally communicate with you, treat your pet with great care, and your property with respect if welcomed into your home. Thanks for considering my services, I look forward to hearing from you. Here to help. I am employed full time. Any assistance I would be able to provide would be early morning, late evening during the weekdays, and much greater flexibility on the weekend. I will care for your pets and be respectful to your home. For me that begins with good communication between you and me. Setting clear expectations between us and getting to know your pets as best as possible before the first visit.
“Halley was awesome! Super responsive and very kind. She treated our house with respect and our little beagle was a happy fella when we got home! Hoping to stay in touch with Halley for our dog sitting!”

“Michelle was amazing. We have never used an in home pet sitter and were a little anxious. Michelle responded promptly if we checked in and sent pictures letting us know that the dogs were doing well. We came home to a clean house and happy well cared for dogs.”

“Ehlaura was wonderful! Kept us updated during the stay and we came home to happy and healthy boys which is our number one priority. Already have Ehlaura booked for a future sitting!”

About: My love for animals has been life long. In my younger years I would go spend summers in Virginia and volunteered at the Virginia Living Museum; where I was able to interact with many different kinds of animals. When I was in the 4th grade, my friend Alexa and I started a dog washing, walking and playing business called “A Pet-ter Place”. I have taken small animal management classes as well as an equine science class. I have had dogs my whole life. My dog Junebug has diabetes, so I know and I feel comfortable giving insulin shots. To wrap everything up I am no stranger to the world or animal and pet care and I would love to help take care of your fur babies! :) I’m a Realtor, so my schedule is pretty flexible! I can stop by almost anytime you need—whether it’s to check on your pets, take them for a walk, feed them, or just give them some playtime. My goal is to replicate your pets’ usual routine as closely as possible so they stay comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. I take safety seriously—always locking up after visits and ensuring your home is left exactly as it was before.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Tabb
Sarai took excellent care of our little crew. She communicated throughout the entire stay providing photos and updates. She cleaned up after our kitty had a suspected seizure (known condition). Sarai was respectful of our home. We are very happy to have her back in the future.

Trenton was great! We were away for 3 days and provided all sorts of TLC and attention. He spent time with my pups and played with them, which has been very difficult to find in a Petsitter! My senior boy needs daily medication and some extra care, and he provided it perfectly.

Sara stayed overnight for the weekend with my four dogs. Two of them are seniors, and they were well cared for and comfortable the whole time. They have a routine they like to stick to, with several medications and special diets. We received pictures and updates multiple times a day and were confident in their care!

All I can say is Mina went above any beyond to watch my babies. She was only suppose to watch one of my dogs but something fell through and she said yes to helping out with my other fur baby. She was always communicating with me about how the dogs were. If you haven’t found the perfect person to watch your fur babies I’d say just stop here and look no further because Mina is definitely the one to watch your fur babies. Will be using her again😊

FAQs for House Sitting - Tabb
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Tabb on Rover is $37.74 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 1,259 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Tabb. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Tabb walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Tabb maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tabb choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tabb. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
