About: I signed up to help others care for their pets because I use Rover as well. Having a trusted individual available to care for our furry friends is important. I provide excellent pet care service for others. I will inquire about your pet’s personality, special needs, likes and dislikes. I will professionally communicate with you, treat your pet with great care, and your property with respect if welcomed into your home. Thanks for considering my services, I look forward to hearing from you. Here to help. I am employed full time. Any assistance I would be able to provide would be early morning, late evening during the weekdays, and much greater flexibility on the weekend. I will care for your pets and be respectful to your home. For me that begins with good communication between you and me. Setting clear expectations between us and getting to know your pets as best as possible before the first visit.
About: I have been taking care of dogs for about 10 years now. I own 3 dogs myself and take care of them everyday. I have also worked at an overnight boarding place for animals, volunteered at animal shelters, fed many pets, walked many dogs, and I hope to continue bettering animals. I am currently working a part-time job however, i am available after 5pm on Tuesday’s, Wednesday's, and Friday’s. I am unavailable Mondays & Thursday’s. I am fully available on weekends! I will make sure your pets have everything they need whether that’s attention, belly rubs, extra potty breaks, long walks, or even a cuddle buddy
“Halley was awesome! Super responsive and very kind. She treated our house with respect and our little beagle was a happy fella when we got home! Hoping to stay in touch with Halley for our dog sitting!”

“Kyle was fantastic with our Bella; she had plenty of walks and company while we were away. Kyle was an excellent house sitter as well and even swept up before he left. We felt comfortable and grateful to leave Bella and our home in his care.”

“Wow! Jordyn was an amazing pet sitter. She did a great job taking care of are of bronco I think he wasn’t even happy to see us when we came home!! I will def be rebooking with her again. Great all around!”

“Trenton was an absolute lifesaver! We’ve had some disappointing experiences with sitters on this app recently ranging from not following instructions to doing quick 30-minute drop-ins when we specifically requested house sitting. Trent completely restored our faith in Rover. He followed all of our instructions to the letter, took excellent care of our dog Thor, and even kept our home clean and organized, something we haven’t experienced with past sitters. We truly appreciate his reliability and professionalism. We will most definitely continue using his services.”

“Ehlaura was wonderful! Kept us updated during the stay and we came home to happy and healthy boys which is our number one priority. Already have Ehlaura booked for a future sitting!”

“Logan was super accommodating to our last minute travel plans and helped make a very stressful situation much better! Our dog seemed to have a great time and was well cared for, and it provided peace of mind having Logan care for him in our home while we were gone, check our mail, get our packages, etc. We loved seeing the pictures of him playing outside every day!”

“Anna Mei, was great and communication, scheduling, and keeping us a ease. We have never left our fur babies alone and they can hanve an attttittttude!!!! She was able to handle all of their boycotting, rebellion antics, and corks when we were away. We will be booking her, if she let's us. She was great. 😃”

About: I am a licensed attorney by day and lifelong animal lover at heart. I currently work remotely with a flexible schedule while spending time in Virginia helping and supporting my mother as she approaches retirement. My flexibility allows me to provide attentive, reliable care for pets throughout the day, evenings, and overnight stays. I began my own small dog-walking business in San Francisco while I was in college and later worked through Rover walking large-breed dogs and cat-sitting while studying for the California Bar Exam and working as a paralegal. I am comfortable with both small and large dogs, but I especially love giant breeds like Great Danes. I also adore cats and currently have my own beloved cat, DJ Mustard, who has made me even more attentive to feline personalities, routines, and comfort. Animals have always brought joy and grounding to my life. I believe pets deserve patient, loving, observant care and that owners should feel completely comfortable while away from home. I am calm, responsible, communicative, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique personality and routines. For overnight stays, I also offer optional extras at a bargain cost including homemade pet treats from recipes I have developed myself as well as seasonal or holiday-themed pet portraits and photos. I offer discounts for teachers and service members in honor of my mother, who is a teacher, and my grandfather, who served in the United States Navy. Whether your pet needs companionship, playtime, medication, overnight comfort, or simply someone dependable and kind, I would love the opportunity to care for them. As a remote professional with a flexible schedule, pet care naturally fits into my daily routine through walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, overnight care, and check-ins. Licensed attorney with extensive background checks who provides attentive in-home pet care, including walks, feeding, playtime, cleaning, companionship, overnight support, and thoughtful communication updates.

About: I have always been expected to care of my own pets from a very young age and now mine live with me at college:) I love it so much I even created my own dog poop cleaning up business in sixth grade! Anything I could ever do to help someone with their pet is so rewarding, and I understand needing to travel and see the world or visit family as I have moved around a ton when I was younger. I’m super excited to join the app! Having my animals in college has helped me ensure I build a healthy schedule not only for myself, but also them! The way I love a routine, so do they. I try to get up around the same time each day and feed dinner around the same time also. My dogs don’t eat lunch, but I have cared for animals that have and it’s all about craving that extra important time for them to ensure they feel comfortable, especially with family gone. I love the outdoors and walks during the summer so doing that is the least I could do for my babies. I’m a very flexible and communicative person which hopefully sets up the best care:) I want to be as respectful as possible, and since working at a clients home I would want to make sure I know what works best for your animal. If is a lot of outside time, space, treats, being in the crate while gone or not. anything! I can totally work around that because I want you to have peace of mind for your home and pet:)

About: I am the middle child of a fur baby parent who has fostered a many dog breeds of all shapes and sizes over the course of my childhood (Chihuahuas, Yorkie Poodle, Golden Retrievers, Labs, Pit Bulls, Shepherds, etc.) with my first pupper being a rescue at the age of 10. With this, I have experience administering medication and even feedings for the bottle fed pups safely and efficiently (given there are multiple doses during the visit). Also, I can provide light grooming services as requested- if there is a service I am not comfortable with, I will make it clear so pet parents can find the right fit for themselves, their babies! All dogs need love, even the 'hyper' ones! I have experience with handling all different kinds of personalities, from bundles of energy who love to talk to the content seniors that love to rest, so I have no qualms so long as they aren't biters- yikes! I am active and always on the move so taking long walks or multiple short ones, even rides to the dog park, if allowed, are the kind of adventures your doggo will have with me! I am punctual when it comes to following a time schedule and completing tasks before the end of day so the next sitting experience is ready for a fresh start! I have moved back to the Hampton Roads area from Iowa state this past November with ride share (Uber) and Spark being my job at the moment until I find something more stable; I make my own schedule. With this, there is plenty of time to fit your pet(s) into my day to day! Peace of mind for the pet parents and comfortability, safety for said pets are my top priority. I'm always on the lookout, keeping your pet in my line of sight and sheltered (within the home save for walks and outdoor play if granted). Following the guidelines given by parents, communicating throughout the day, not just in a case of emergency is important to me, plus it allows clients the security of knowing what takes place in their home while away.
About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was in 7th grade (now a recent college graduate!!) and am looking to start searching for clients consistently again. I’ve watched over cats and dogs and also have experience with with both species that required medication. Growing up with two diabetic cats (and then some) allowed me to learn how to administer insulin by myself and how to administer pills. Being able to trust someone with your pet is hard and knowing they’re in good hands is a huge stress reliever. My goal is to not only to watch over and care for your pet(s), but to take the weight off your shoulders when you aren’t able to be home with them. I am currently looking for a full time job and being a pet sitter will allow me to earn a little extra on the side. I do not board pets as I don't have a current permanent residence of my own (living with my partner and their family), but am more than willing to stay overnight in a clients home. I ensure safety by checking in on a clients pet regularly should I not be needed 24/7 and make sure to not only watch, but care for the clients pet. My visits (when sleeping over isn’t required) typically range from 1 hour or a little over to be able to spend quality time with a clients pet(s), especially when the owner is gone for a longer period of time.
“Keyana is amazing with our dogs. She has become our number 1 dog sitter. She is extremely gentle and loving with our two elderly dogs. We get daily communication and pictures during our time away! Makes traveling less stressful knowing our two dogs are being cared for by such a huge pet lover!!!”

About: I’ve cared for pets of all ages, from playful puppies to gentle older dogs, such as my own. I tailor my approach to each animal’s needs. What sets me apart is my calm, patient energy and attention to detail—I don’t just watch pets, I get to know them. I have experience with basic training reinforcement, senior pet care (including administering oral medications), and making nervous animals feel safe and loved. Whether it’s a long walk, structured playtime, or simply keeping a routine, I care for every pet like they’re my own. Also for full disclosure up front, I do work two jobs during the summer. I am a part time math tutor and I also work at Costco. As a college student home for the summer, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care. With no classes or school obligations right now, I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits—whatever fits your pet’s routine best. I love spending my summer surrounded by animals, and I’m fully committed to giving each pet the time and attention that they need. Safety and trust are my top priorities in every pet care situation. When caring for pets in their own home, I respect their space and routines to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I follow all owner instructions carefully—from feeding schedules to medication dosages—to ensure consistency and well-being. I always secure doors, windows, and any potential hazards to create a safe environment. As for staying in my home, I unfortunately cannot have other pets coming and staying with me, due to the amount of allergies in my household and my older dog that is living with me

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Seaford walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Seaford maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Seaford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
