She was able to handle all of their boycotting, rebellion antics, and corks when we were away. We will be booking her, if she let's us. She was great. 😃”

“Jenna has taken great care of our two dogs a few times now. I can always depend on her to be there for the boys. Sense updates when she can, and always leaves our house looking the way it was. Highly recommend”

“Ehlaura took good care of our two golden retrievers and the house! Everything was in good order and the dogs were happy when we returned. I’d have no problem contacting her again.”

“This is the second time we have used Jordyn to watch our pups and she is amazing! We don’t have to worry about a thing when we are gone and we always come back to the house being just as we left it. Highly recommend!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Robbyn. Jackson immediately connected with her, and he was more relaxed than I’ve ever seen him for a high energy puppy. She kept the place spotless, communicated regularly, and sent plenty of photos so I always knew he was doing well. I’m truly grateful for the care she provided, and I will definitely be booking with her again.”

“My pack of two doggies - Delta and Skippy — and I are deeply grateful to Elizabeth for the love and care she always brings. She’s The Best Dog Mama! We all love her. Thank you, Elizabeth!”

“Key was very respectful of our home and our pups. She managed our expectations and I think it should be noted here: she does not stay in the home with your dogs, more like drop on visits in bulk. Exactly what we needed. Thank you Key!”

“Madison did well with 7-up. She provided updates and photos to let us know he was doing fine. She allowed our trip out of town to be worry free knowing 7-up was being cared for.”

“Felicia was amazing! We came home to happy dogs and a clean home. Thank you for everything. We’ll be in touch for another upcoming trip we’ll need your services for!”

“Being new to hiring anyone to come in house to sit with my fur babies made me nervous at first but the way Angela came on the meet and greet calmed my anxiety. I appreciate all the love she had for Coal and Storm plus she sent many pictures of them while in her care. She went above and beyond in her duties with my babies as well as being in the home while also helping me out in a way that means so much. I truly appreciate Angela's service and will most certainly book her again!”

“Kim has been amazing throughout my time away from my dogs. Kept them on their schedule, made adjustments when my travel plans unfortunately got changed. I will definitely be rebooking with her in the future.”

“Laura is a dream! From first contact through our entire house sit, she was always prompt with her responses and never left me hanging. She was great with my peculiar, needy Sphynx cats and not only followed our care instructions exactly, but went above and beyond for my two cats! They absolutely loved her from the first day, which is so rare. I got frequent updates multiple times a day and the best pictures and videos of them. She left our house extremely clean and we would be insane to not book her anytime she is available!”

About: I’ve cared for a handful of pets at my house for friends and coworkers. I’ve never had an issue and the animals always enjoyed the experience. I recently retired from the military and have not taken any jobs. Most days, I’m am fully available to take care of your animals. I have a fenced in yard, but I will always go out with your animals to ensure they don’t feel alone and can feel comfortable with the surroundings.
“Ashlyn is a wonderful sitter! She is reliable and communicate, sending pictures and updates throughout her stay. I would definitely recommend her if you’re looking for someone to take excellent care of your pets!”

“Trenton was an absolute lifesaver! We’ve had some disappointing experiences with sitters on this app recently ranging from not following instructions to doing quick 30-minute drop-ins when we specifically requested house sitting. Trent completely restored our faith in Rover. He followed all of our instructions to the letter, took excellent care of our dog Thor, and even kept our home clean and organized, something we haven’t experienced with past sitters. We truly appreciate his reliability and professionalism. We will most definitely continue using his services.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hilton Village
Kathryn was a stellar sitter, from the moment we met her until we got back home! Our old man is very particular, and she got him settled and in his routine with such success. We came home to a happy dog and a house that had been well taken care of. Especially thankful that she sent lots of pictures, videos, and updates, so we knew our guy was doing well! We’re so grateful, and would recommend her to anyone without reservation.

We were so grateful to find Elizabeth to care for our dog, Piper. She was thoughtful, dependable, and clearly genuinely enjoyed spending time with her, which meant so much to us. She also sent lots of pictures and updates, which gave us such peace of mind while we were away. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup and knew Piper had been in wonderful hands. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent pet sitter. Thank you Elizabeth for making all those trips back and forth to our house and offering to go above and beyond!!!

Karla was beyond amazing with our 3 dogs! She went above and beyond in every way and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She kept us updated, treated our babies like her own, and we came home to happy, well cared for dogs. You can truly tell how much she loves animals. We are so thankful for her and would absolutely book with her again!

Haven was great with our two elderly dogs (one of which required medication) and took good care of our house. She was very responsive and sent us regular updates. She was also very understanding and flexible when our travel back home was significantly delayed due to weather.

Kacie is great! She’s very organized, communicates throughout her stay, sends pictures and most importantly takes great care of my pups! She’s also very helpful while she was at my house by bringing in my packages that were delivered and was willing to bring in my trashcan since my trip coincided with trash day. Kacie is observant and takes great care of my pups and lets me know if she notices anything that I may need to keep an eye on, like when she noticed one of my dogs was having some eye irritation. I would definitely recommend Kacie if you need a great sitter!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hilton Village walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hilton Village maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hilton Village choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
