“Constance is great! Our schnauzer was in amazing hands, and he seemed to really love his time there. We will definitely schedule with Constance in the future and refer her to anyon els who may need dog sitter support.”

“Emily was amazing with my cat Juno! She was flexible with scheduling and helped me get Juno into her kennel (easier said than done). Emily also made sure Juno was well fed and gave me an update on how she did during her stay. As a new cat dad, I really appreciated how friendly Emily was!”
“I’m so glad I found Shanae, I was at ease while I was away. I loved the pics and videos she sent daily. I felt like my Frankie preferred being in a home environment where he can get 1:1 attention versus a boarding facility with dozens of other dogs.”

“Rodney is amazing! He took good care of our sweet standard poodle while we were out of town. Very responsive and friendly. My dog had the best days while staying with him. Highly recommend him!”

“Highly recommend Kacie to anyone!!! We are semi-new to the area and needed to find someone to watch our 8 year old dog while we were away for a week trip out of the country. Kacie offered up doing a meet and greet which was extremely helpful. She answered all of our questions and made us feel so comfortable. While we were away, she sent daily pictures and updates. We didn’t have to worry at all! Our dog loved his time with Kacie and will definitely be having her watch our sweet pup again.”

“Amazing and accommodating when had to extend at last minute. Really sweet and nice people. Notified me when stool was soft and kept monitoring. Will book again.”

“Dea cared for our 2 cats for nearly 20 days while our family traveled. We received daily updates that reassured us they were shown attention and love. One of our cats has a medical condition that requires extra help. Dea confidently took care of her needs and we picked her up in perfect health. Thank you Dea for looking after our precious cats like we would. We are happy to have a sitter to use in the future that we can trust.”

“Jackie was awesome!! This is the second time we left our babies with her. The babies were taken care of very well and enjoyed themselves while in her care. Jackie kept us up to date on how the babies were doing and sent several pictures that put us at ease and let us enjoy ourselves knowing that they were having a good time. Would definitely highly recommend Jackie, and we will definitely hire her again.”

“Tameka was fantastic. She kept me abreast of what was going on with Justice and sent plenty of pictures for me to enjoy. I'll definitely be a return customer the next time I have to leave the state.”

“Janel was great. She provided me with daily, detailed updates on my pups. Even though I did not have cell service most of my trip, she still kept the updates coming. We will definitely use her in the future.”

“Excellent service she treats pets the way great owners treat theirs. Provided daily updates for the week while I was away for work. Cannot recommend enough and also Elsa likes to get stinky by breed nature but smelled great on arrival so that was nice also.”

“This family was amazing ! So sweet . She sent pictures during ours dogs time with her and let me know at pick up of a concern they noticed . Vianca was great !”

“Amy was amazing! We were a little nervous about leaving our dog with someone we didn't know. Amy immediately put us at ease and made us feel like our pup was the most important dog on the planet. She is extremely professional and answered all my texts quickly. She provided photos and updated us with how things were going daily. After meeting her we knew she would care for our dog like she was one of her own. She was extremely flexible at changing the dates of stay when I'd accidentally clicked the wrong days. Even though they were very last minute. Her compassion for animals is truly genuine as evidenced by the model she's set for her children. They, too, took to our dog and treated her like a real princess. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter for our pupper.”

“Cristen and family were amazing! Wish we had found them before. They took very good care of Asher while we were at our daughter’s graduation. We didn’t have to worry about Asher at all. Wonderful family!”

“Milena was great! She treated my boy like one of her own. She was communicative and sent lots of pictures as I was initially anxious about leaving him. Thank you so much for treating him well! We will be booking with her again!”

“Cassandra was amazing with my two pups! One pup is fairly skittish but she seemed right at home. Got updates and photos during their stay which are always appreciated. Cassandra was also flexible with me having to change the pick up time on short notice. Thank you again!”

“Omaira and Isaac were awesome. They took excellent care of our boys. Both Bentley and Brody made some new friends. Omaira and Isaacs sent us pictures regularly showing the play times and socialization with other family/boarded guests. All got along well. And their back yard is large and fenced in allowing them ample free space to play and socialize. Will be using their help in September for 8 days. This trip was about 8 or 9 days. Thank you Omaira and Isaac!”

“Maeghan was amazing with Frida (our baby) her whole family took wonderful care of her for four days. She played and had a wonderful time. We will definitely be asking for Maeghan services again! Thanks so very much!”

She took great care of our cats and provided regular updates and photos. I would definitely recommend Deidre and would happily use her again!”

“I had a last minute outing and Madison was very flexible with my times and dates, as well as very consistent in updating me on my little furball. He seemed to want for nothing when I returned so I can safely say she did a great job. Will be keeping in mind for future trips!”

“This was my first time using Rover. I am very satisfied with my experience. Lisa was wonderful with my sweet kitty, Fluff. She did four 1hour visits. She kept continuous contact with me and sent pictures every day of her interactions with Fluff. I recommend Rover.com and I highly Lisa!”

“I could rave about how absolutely amazing Samantha was with my Khaleesi for hours, but I’ll keep it short for reading purposes. My dog Khaleesi is a high anxiety dog and does not do well with strangers and typically hides from them. Samantha had her during the day for 3 days, and from day 1 Khaleesi took right to her. It did take some warming up time, but Samantha kept me very updated and sent pictures throughout the day. By the end of the 3 days, Khaleesi was walking into Samantha’s house without hesitation and didn’t even turn around to look at me. Samantha is incredible and I highly recommend her!!!!”

“She's great! Really cared for our scared pups during their first time away from home. Definitely would use her again and recommend to anyone needing a caring and loving sitter for their fur babies.”

“Dejé a Valentino de 6 meses por primera vez con Rosa por tres dias y Ella supo darle todo el amor y cariño para que se sintiera bien, incluso tuvo que dar de comer con su mano para que no dejara de alimentarse. Nos enviaba fotos y videos y estuvimos viendo como se comportaba, definitivamente lo volveré a dejar cuando lo necesite, y si quieres dejar tu mascota en buenas manos, déjalo con Rosa”

“Vianca and her family were so wonderful to Calvin. He had so much fun there, was so excited every morning and made me drag him away when it was time to leave. Her dogs played nicely with my puppy. They adhered to providing him a couple dedicated crate naps daily. Would def use Vianca again! Thank you!”

About: As long as I can remember, I've loved dogs; chances are, if you live within a two-mile radius of me, I know your pet's name! Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to care for their pets (dogs and cats) while on extended travel, overnight and on weekends. Until very recently, I was the paw-rent of a senior pittie, Bernie, so I am comfortable with and experienced in providing care for medically complex and senior animals. I work remotely full-time, so am available to board your fur babies at my place or yours! I am also available for petcare after-hours and on weekends. My partner and I own our home in Brandon Heights/Hilton Village. In addition to a fenced back yard, we live close to Hilton Beach and the Noland Trailhead. I keep a large crate available to give pups a safe place to hang out, if you/they prefer. We have one very friendly, extremely silly pup named Chai who is a Great Pyr/husky mix. He loves other dogs, but if yours doesn't, we can keep him baby gated in a different room.
“Xiaolin and Zidong were so sweet to my pup and they were so kind and polite with me as well! They have a beautiful backyard with loads of space and their own pup got along great with mine. Will definitely be using them again soon!! :)”

“We usually do a boarding with Cassandra which my dog loves, but even for a day care stay, Cassandra goes above and beyond to make Pin happy! I love the photos and communication about how he is doing.”

“Very sweet & welcoming family. Dusty (her pup) is so good to Hannah and has brought her out of her shell. I'm happy she has a loving place to go to while I'm at work.”

About: I've worked in animal welfare & shelters since 2015. I have lots of experience working with dogs and cats with various personalities and needs. I personally own 3 dogs and several cats all at various ages. One of my cats is disabled- and I've owned and worked with dogs and cats that have special needs (seziures, CH, deaf, blind), take daily medications, and possess specific breed traits/personalities that can't make them difficult to manage. Currently work remote and have a large amount of flexibility in between travel for work. I can prov8de limited boarding in home- dogs must be able to coexhist with cats, be able to be crated and/or left in a single room unattended, and be respectful of baby gates. I do have a separate space for cats that is easier to manage. Current cats in the home do free roams but there is an entire space devoted to the dogs in the home. Can crate and rotate as needed and care for up to 2 dogs if everyone can get along. In your home I prefer to stick to as close of a routine that you provide them with- from their potty breaks to morning and evening walks. Staying as consistent as possible can help provide a relaxing trip for you and your pet.

“Really down to Earth sitter who loves Luna like she is his own. Tashaun has been extremely responsive and takes lots of photos of Luna for us. He is always on time and is good with taking care of Luna's special needs!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. I have spent the last 3 years volunteering with Hope for Life Rescue and Penninsula Regional Animal Shelter, working hands on with pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments, from bottle feeding kittens and puppies to caring for senior dogs who need extra patience and attention. I’m the go-to person for family and friends whenever they need someone reliable and loving to care for their pets, whether it’s daily walks, drop-in visits, daycare, or overnight boarding. I have experience administering medications, handling nervous or shy animals, and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for like family. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big deal, and I treat every animal as if they were my own, with patience, compassion, and plenty of love. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because animals are already a big part of my life. I volunteer regularly with a local rescue and animal shelter, foster when needed, and I also run my own business from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and boarding. I provide a safe, loving, and structured environment whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time and exercise, and my own pets (two cats and one dog) are all friendly, well socialized, and up to date on their vaccines. My dog, Mercury, just turned two and is full of energy. She loves meeting other dogs and enjoys playdates, which makes her a great companion for social pups who enjoy interaction and play. My goal is always to create a calm, trustworthy environment where both pets and pet parents feel comfortable and confident.

About: I used to work for farmville Va animal shelter for two years,I worked for a private dog boarding center for a year, and I used to have a small business for a year in Farmville Va for pet sitting. I adore and love animals with all my heart, growing up wasn’t easy but having a friendly face such as a pet made it a lot easier. I rescued my hound, Mrs Eve and she has been the best blessing I could ask for. I found her on the side of the road super sick and could barely walk, so I took her to the shelter and adopted her on Christmas Eve! She is up to date with all of her shots and is in very good health! When I found her they believed she was 6-7 weeks old but she was actually 6 months old but was super sick from parasites eating her from inside-out, now she is four years old and living her best life! When I pet sit, I treat the animals as my own! I enjoy being the only sitter with the animals, as I love their love and affection! I am a full caretaker of my dog as well! I work on the weekends so my week days are usually free! Me and my husband have a routine with our dog so we walk her before heading to work and as soon as we get home we walk her as well. She does have food down throughout the day but usually only eats if we are home from work as she sleeps all day! We play with her and her mountain of toys when we come home from work. We do trails/beach walk with her on days we are not busy or working as she deserves to have adventures as well! She sometimes sees our neighbors Dog outside so we allow them two to play together for a little before returning inside! I only have my hound dog Mrs Eve and she stays indoors as we live in an apartment but me and my husband goes on trails with her, take her outside a lot throughout the day and when we aren’t home we have a Roku camera watching her to make sure she is safe! Our neighbor has our number incase of any danger to the building because we would drop anything for the safety of our child (our dog Eve)!

With vet tech experience, I have a trained eye for catching and often solving problems. As a horticulturist, I can even care for your plant collection. I simply adore most living things! “Where to even begin with Sariah. She has been walking our boys for months now and we would be lost without her. Originally she started off walking our lab and terrier mix and they both absolutely adored her. Then we unexpectedly had to put our terrier down and she missed him just as much as we did. A month later we rescued our yorkie and she didn’t hesitate taking him on. He wasn’t leash trained, was scared and just over all a traumatized dog. She helped him walk on a leash, carried him when he needed to be carried and loved him through. We are devastated at her moving and not being able to care for our boys anymore. We always knew they were in good hands with her. Sariah thank you so much for taking care of our boys as we would and loving them. You will be missed dearly.”

“Janel was great. She provided me with daily, detailed updates on my pups. Even though I did not have cell service most of my trip, she still kept the updates coming. We will definitely use her in the future.”

“Elisabeth, thank you for caring for Juno! You sent great photos throughout the week and I felt very comfortable knowing he was having a good time at home with you and your family. Thank you so much!”

“Joseph and Ima were wonderful! They were very easy and kind to work with. Moose got along great with their dogs and had lots of fun! We are very comfortable having them take care of our dog and highly recommend if you’re looking for a great dog sitter!”

“Gunna had a great time and made himself at home with Jessica and her kids. He had a fun time playing in the large backyard and on his walks. Jessica was quick to respond, gave us daily updates, and above all was able to watch Gunna last minute.”
