“Audry has been very responsive and took great care of our two dogs! She’s sent us picture updates and kept us in the loop daily. Highly recommend and will be booking through her again!🐶”

“Absolutely amazing! I was out of the country for an extended time (over two weeks), and was kept updated with daily texts & pics to keep my mind at ease. My two pitties have a very specific routine and must be kept separated, and they were able to keep everything smooth & easy the whole time. My dogs LOVED them, and they're very tidy & respectful houseguests. I fully trust them with my dogs and in my home, and will 1000% be hiring them again!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Robbyn. Jackson immediately connected with her, and he was more relaxed than I’ve ever seen him for a high energy puppy. She kept the place spotless, communicated regularly, and sent plenty of photos so I always knew he was doing well. I’m truly grateful for the care she provided, and I will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Kelly was exactly who we needed! Our one pup is hesitant with new people but Kelly was able to come and meet her before hand. Our pup took to her immediately - so we knew she was in good hands.”

“Whitney did a great job with taking care of our dogs! She communicated a few times each day and sent pictures while we were out out town. It gave us peace of mind having someone at our house to keep our dogs in their own home. Thank you for house sitting! We will definitely book her again for our next trip.”

About: I am a licensed attorney by day and lifelong animal lover at heart. I currently work remotely with a flexible schedule while spending time in Virginia helping and supporting my mother as she approaches retirement. My flexibility allows me to provide attentive, reliable care for pets throughout the day, evenings, and overnight stays. I began my own small dog-walking business in San Francisco while I was in college and later worked through Rover walking large-breed dogs and cat-sitting while studying for the California Bar Exam and working as a paralegal. I am comfortable with both small and large dogs, but I especially love giant breeds like Great Danes. I also adore cats and currently have my own beloved cat, DJ Mustard, who has made me even more attentive to feline personalities, routines, and comfort. Animals have always brought joy and grounding to my life. I believe pets deserve patient, loving, observant care and that owners should feel completely comfortable while away from home. I am calm, responsible, communicative, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique personality and routines. For overnight stays, I also offer optional extras at a bargain cost including homemade pet treats from recipes I have developed myself as well as seasonal or holiday-themed pet portraits and photos. I offer discounts for teachers and service members in honor of my mother, who is a teacher, and my grandfather, who served in the United States Navy. Whether your pet needs companionship, playtime, medication, overnight comfort, or simply someone dependable and kind, I would love the opportunity to care for them. As a remote professional with a flexible schedule, pet care naturally fits into my daily routine through walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, overnight care, and check-ins. Licensed attorney with extensive background checks who provides attentive in-home pet care, including walks, feeding, playtime, cleaning, companionship, overnight support, and thoughtful communication updates.
“Robert spent a weekend caring for our fur babies. We had a meet and greet prior to his stay and he did a thorough assessment of our animals needs to make sure he provided top notch care. Over the weekend he sent pictures and updates. I knew my fur babies were well-taken care of.”

About: Ive been taking care of dogs all my life, i have experience administering oral medication, feeding pets on specific schedules, bathing pets, taking large and small dogs on walks, and I have experience finding vets and getting pets there quick in case of emergency! I do not start school until the fall, so I have a very flexible schedule! I can help with daily tasks like walking or feeding the animal! I give pets constant attention and care! I've grown up with very clingy puppies, so I'm used to giving animals all my attention! I'm also used to following specific schedules for the animal! (i.e. food, walking, bathroom)
“Kim has been amazing throughout my time away from my dogs. Kept them on their schedule, made adjustments when my travel plans unfortunately got changed. I will definitely be rebooking with her in the future.”

“Just completed our second booking with Ehlaura and have another one already scheduled. She is amazing with our boys and she keeps us up to date throughout our time away. Highly recommend!”

“Alexa was absolutely wonderful! She took the time to meet our babies beforehand since they can be a little extra at times, and they immediately felt comfortable and at ease with her. She kept us updated with several pictures, and her communication throughout was excellent. Most importantly, our babies were truly loved and cared for while we were away. We also just moved into a new home from out of state, and many of our belongings — including our couch — still haven’t arrived. We always want our sitters to feel as comfortable as possible, and Alexa was incredibly understanding and kind about our situation, which gave me such peace of mind. I would absolutely recommend Alexa, and I know our babies will be in great hands when we book with her again!”

“Mattie is a stellar pet sitter. Our dog is 85lbs and very very scared of people. By their second meeting Bar greeted her at the door. That in itself showed me that she is a kind soul. She took excellent care of them. We will 100% use her for pet sitting in the future.”

Let's put it this way: my cats, who are sweet, followed Ashlee around like SHE was their owner. Ashlee did an amazing job loving on my boys, handling their medications (we have two cats with asthma, one with arthritis). She kept the house neat, watered the plants and fed the birds, and tolerate my anxious need for daily updates and photos to the point where I was actually able to crawl into bed on vacation only to realize I hadn't fretted over them because I knew they were happy and in good hands. I've never had my boys take to someone else SO well and SO quickly. Cats are finicky creatures, so when they approve, it means something. The meet and greet with D and Ash went amazing and I was instantly comfortable and they were both so kind and gentle and compassionate and really I cannot say enough good things. It was like entrusting my babies to a good friend. I am excited to have been introduced to them and look forward to using them in the future. Thank you guys so much for being such a breath of fresh air and for being so reliable. You rock.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Carrollton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Carrollton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Carrollton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
