About: Hi, I’m TaShaun a long time Rover provider with 100+ 5-star reviews and years of professional pet care experience. I run Our Kingdom Animal Society (OKAS), a service focused on dependable, safety-first care for dogs, cats, and small animals. Every booking is managed directly by me to ensure consistency, clear communication, and high-quality service. Currently as the solo operator and founder of OKAS, I represent the standard and expectations of the co., personally overseeing all scheduling, care planning and communication. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in care, feeding routine, medication support, or enrichment time, I bring patience, professionalism, and genuine love for animals of all kinds. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness always come first. I have open availability most days, currently. As OKAS grows, additional vetted Pet Care Partners may join the schedule, but all services are handled personally by me for now. My home: • Best for calm, crate-trained, or low-to-moderate energy pets • Not ideal for dogs that require luxury accommodations or constant stimulation • NOT IDEAL for pets with respiratory conditions I prioritize safety, routine, and supervision over presentation. Pets stay in designated areas that are appropriate for their size, temperament, and needs, with clear boundaries to ensure comfort and security. I personally handle all care, maintain consistent routines, and monitor pets closely throughout their stay. My goal is dependable, and loving care in a functional environment that supports each pet’s well-being.

About: Skills include: medication application, IV fluids, walking, playing, vet appointments, pregnancy assistance in birth, feeding, cleaning, bathing and most importantly cuddles! (Cuddles with consent of course) I have a remote job that doesn’t take up a lot of time so I am usually available and I have a love and passion for caring for animals and pets! I love animals and I had a cat named Precious for 18 years. I got a job at a vet hospital not only because I loved pets but because it was best for Precious. I was able to give her the best quality of life through my job and she sadly passed away in 2025. She was my special girl and I am ready to start caring for animals again. They matter a lot to me and I can’t bring myself to get another cat so I figured all the love and care I have in my heart, I should use it for good and help others in taking care of their precious babies. I’ve learned a lot while working at a vet hospital as well.

Samantha was great with my Pug, Benji, right from the start. We did a meet and greet at Yorktown beach and she was a natural from the start! She even walked Benji for me while we got to know each other. Samantha is trustworthy and caring when it comes to our furry little animals that we treat like our own kids. I will definitely be using her services again in the future. Thank you Samantha!

Barbara was truly wonderful! Everything about our experience with her was perfect. We had a lovely meet and greet where she came to our house and met our two dogs, who instantly loved her! She stayed with them for four days/nights while we were away. Talk about going above and beyond the call of duty! Gus is a very old, enormous Rottweiler who needs help getting up from the floor. Barbara was totally willing to help this dignified old guy up, and also guiding him outside (he is deaf and partially blind). I could see that Gus felt very safe and comfortable with her, which is not the case with everyone since he feels very vulnerable now in his elder years. And our youngster Sammy who is a bundle of energy, was ecstatic to have a new friend who would play with him. Unfortunately Sammy had a bad tummy during the weekend, and Barbara was up with him several nights, making sure he was comfortable and taking him out for frequent relief walks. During my time away Barbara sent pictures and updates throughout the day to put my mind at ease. This was my first time leaving my precious fur babies with anyone other than a family member, and I was nervous, but Barbara did everything she could to make this a very special experience for all of us. When I came back, both dogs were totally bonded with Barbara and Sammy especially did not want her to leave! We will definitely be using Barbara’s services again!

About: I've taken care of pets from dogs to lizards since I was 12, and have been doing drop-ins and house-sitting for family, friends, and my community for as long as I've been able to drive. I'm able to give meds for older dogs with more needs, and have trained my own dogs well in obedience training, so I have plenty of experience with a firm voice for more unruly dogs that need a little extra attention. I'm good with all animals (even the wild ones), and have experience caring for animals that need to stay separated, and am willing and able to adapt to any family I need. I currently am between jobs, the only duty I have is taking care of my own pets (amd occasionally younger siblings) so I have plenty of time to look after and care for pets I have a gentle hand and a firm voice, and have experience with obedience-training dogs particularly, and have faith in my ability to care for even the more unruly of pets. I am comfortable with crate-training and crate-trained dogs, as well as shutting them in their own room when no one is present in the home. I also have good leash experience, so walks would be easy and comfortable for me.

Montse stayed with our pups for 4 nights this past weekend. She was punctual, communicative, and shared lots of updates with us. Our pups got a little sick while she was watching them, but Montse handled it like a champ and made sure they were okay. I’m also pretty sure she cleaned our floors, they seem cleaner than we left! We have two German shedders and we were expecting to have to do a big deep clean for hair when we got home. Totally unexpected, but a real nice touch after coming home from a long weekend. We will certainly be using Montse in the future. Our dogs loved her!

Rodney came to my rescue! Recently I had to go to the ER during the night and I was worried about who would take care of my dogs in the morning. I was able to contact him around 7:00 a.m. so he could come over and take care of the dogs. Potentially it could have been an overnight, but that wasn't needed. It was so wonderful to know that my dogs would be well cared for before and after my return home! Usually he just comes for a drop-in visit every other week, but this required more visits. The dogs are still getting used to him, but he works very hard to get them to trust him and it is paying off. Thank you, Rodney!

About: Hi! I’m a reliable and loving pet caregiver who treats every dog like my own. I provide safe walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention. I understand how important routines and comfort are, so your fur baby will always feel secure and cared for with me. 🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I plan my day around consistency, responsibility, and attention to detail. I schedule feeding times, walks, and check-ins so each pet gets reliable care without rushing. I’m already used to managing a structured home routine, so adding pet care flows smoothly with my day. I make sure I’m fully present during each visit—giving pets focused attention, playtime, and care while also staying organized with communication and updates for the owner. My home is set up with safety in mind, including a fully fenced front and back yard to give pets secure outdoor space for play and potty breaks. I always supervise outdoor time to ensure they stay safe and comfortable. Indoors, I keep all doors secured, remove any hazards, and create a calm, pet-friendly environment. I also follow each pet’s routine closely and never leave them unsupervised in unsafe situations. My goal is to provide a safe, loving space where pets can relax and feel at home

Seriously the best! We’ve never left Obie with anyone outside family. After losing his best friend a few months ago, his separation anxiety got really bad and I was a nervous wreck leaving him with someone new for the first time ever! The communication was top notch and I just could not have asked for a better person to stay with my old man! So lucky and hopefully will never have to use anyone but Cassandra ever again!

FAQs for House Sitting - Aberdeen Gardens

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Aberdeen Gardens on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 1,431 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Aberdeen Gardens. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Aberdeen Gardens walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Aberdeen Gardens maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Aberdeen Gardens choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Aberdeen Gardens. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
