About: Ive taken care of neighbors cats and friends since I was a kid. I’ve always been great with animals and cats particularly are a low maintenance animal. About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs since the age of nine. My son is 13 and a very big care lover. We have two cats, 8 & 5, and a medium sized dog. We also have a spare bedroom for animals that need time alone away from all the unfamiliarity. Your pet will have free range of the house (if comfortable) which features two large automatic litter boxes, 6ft scratching post with smaller scratching posts throughout the home, enrichment toys, beds, backyard views with plenty of wildlife to watch and two filtered water fountains available throughout the day. Both cats are on a feeding schedule, so your baby will also have to be on a schedule as well, I will work with you to figure out what times work best! All pets are vaccinated and spayed with regular checkups ups. Our dog is crate trained and does not wander the home without supervision. We will treat your baby like family and make any accommodations they will need to feel comfortable.

“I could rave about how absolutely amazing Samantha was with my Khaleesi for hours, but I’ll keep it short for reading purposes. My dog Khaleesi is a high anxiety dog and does not do well with strangers and typically hides from them. Samantha had her during the day for 3 days, and from day 1 Khaleesi took right to her. It did take some warming up time, but Samantha kept me very updated and sent pictures throughout the day. By the end of the 3 days, Khaleesi was walking into Samantha’s house without hesitation and didn’t even turn around to look at me. Samantha is incredible and I highly recommend her!!!!”

About: I have had pets all my life from dogs and cats to horses and even a squirrel and most everything in between. We even raised a couple on bottles! In the past few years I have taken care of a couple of family pets whenever they are on vacation. My children and I love having furry guests in our home! I’m a full-time doggy caregiver and your pup will enjoy all the love and attention that allows me to provide. When your pup is in my care, your papa receive 6 to 8 hours of playtime broken up into 2 to 3 hour sessions throughout the day. When your pups are in my care, safety is priority number one. I do not have additional charges for medication’s or supplements. I can accommodate solo play. A meet and greet is highly recommended. I check for up-to-date, rabies Bordetella and distemper. I personally own 3 dogs and several cats all at various ages. One of my cats is disabled- and I've owned and worked with dogs and cats that have special needs (seziures, CH, deaf, blind), take daily medications, and possess specific breed traits/personalities that can't make them difficult to manage. Currently work remote and have a large amount of flexibility in between travel for work. I do have a separate space for cats that is easier to manage. Current cats in the home do free roams but there is an entire space devoted to the dogs in the home. Can crate and rotate as needed and care for up to 2 dogs if everyone can get along. In your home I prefer to stick to as close of a routine that you provide them with- from their potty breaks to morning and evening walks. Staying as consistent as possible can help provide a relaxing trip for you and your pet.

About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours WEDNESDAY night thru SUNDAY. morning. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Thursday thru Saturday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. About: I’ve had animals all of my life, and I currently have a dog and a cat now. Also, I’ve taken care of dogs/cats since I was old enough to do so! Whether it was as a job or for a friend, I bathed, fed, and cared for them like they were my own! I currently only work a couple hours a day so I am usually available after 10 A.M. Other than those few hours, I am home every day! I live right in front of a big park as well as an actual dog park so your dog will have plenty of space to play! I myself have a dog and a cat who are very playful and get along with anyone and everyone. My dog would love to keep your dog company, as he thinks that play time is anytime! I am a homebody and would rather stay at home watching Netflix with your pet and my cat. I work during the week but I am free to board on weekends. “We came to VA to bring our son to college, the furbaby was slightly in the way (please don’t tell him I said that!)…so, I contacted Tyrah and she responded immediately and was willing to take our baby with short notice. Tyrah was an absolute god send. She was so polite, her place is super clean— I think my baby came back cleaner than I left him! lol… She sent me daily pictures of my baby settling in just fine with her. He came back mild mannered with his lover boy cuddly personality (usually he comes back from sitters pretty rowdy and jumpy), but not this time. I honestly couldn’t tell he had been away. As much as I want to keep Tyrah a secret (and take her back to GA with me), I’ll tell y’all how great she is and what an amazing gem you have in the Hampton area! She truly was the best!
