Safety, trust & environment

I do not board pets as I don't have a current permanent residence of my own (living with my partner and their family), but am more than willing to stay overnight in a clients home. I ensure safety by checking in on a clients pet regularly should I not be needed 24/7 and make sure to not only watch, but care for the clients pet. My visits (when sleeping over isn’t required) typically range from 1 hour or a little over to be able to spend quality time with a clients pet(s), especially when the owner is gone for a longer period of time.

Information Sarah G. would like to know about your pet

Notify my if your dog has had previous/current health issues, wariness to strangers/other dogs, current medications and anything that would make their experience with me more fun/comfortable!

A typical day

Activities with the pets I watch vary from breed to breed as well as with different ages. For some dogs, I just supply company and less rigorous activities while others require higher forms of engagement like running around the backyard playing fetch, longer walks and some good ol' tug-of-war!

Pet Sitting Background

Pet care experience

I’ve been pet sitting since I was in 7th grade (now a recent college graduate!!) and am looking to start searching for clients consistently again. I’ve watched over cats and dogs and also have experience with with both species that required medication. Growing up with two diabetic cats (and then some) allowed me to learn how to administer insulin by myself and how to administer pills. Being able to trust someone with your pet is hard and knowing they’re in good hands is a huge stress reliever. My goal is to not only to watch over and care for your pet(s), but to take the weight off your shoulders when you aren’t able to be home with them.

Sarah took excellent care of my elderly cat while I was away for almost three weeks, including making sure he had his medication twice a day. I know they became fast friends because he started getting onto her lap, which is an honor he only bestows on a chosen few. She was reliable and conscientious, and I felt like my sweet old man was in good hands while I was away. I would not hesitate to have her take care of him again, and highly recommend her as a pet care giver.
