About: Growing up, I’ve always had pets. I love animals more than anything, and i’m currently in school to become a Veterinary Technician. I attend Grossmont College as a Ceramics student, to further my hobby into a future part time career. We have two boston terriers at home, who are 4 and 6. i have experience caring for disabled pups as i had a 16 year old dachshund who had been paralyzed. while i don’t have a cat currently, i grew up with cats and love them dearly. I’ve pet sit for neighbors and friends since i was 16, watching dogs and cats of various sizes, energies, and behaviors. I’m available for overnight stays if you’re headed out of town, or a drop by visit if you need someone to feed and play with your baby while away! I hope you’ll consider me to watch your furry friend 🩷 I am a part time student at grossmont college, and grossmont adult school. Both are evening attendance. Class duration: Monday/Wednesday: 5:45pm-8:35pm Tuesday/Thursdays: 2pm-8pm Friday-Sunday: Open I’m happy to arrange a meeting with you prior to the job to see the home, and meet the animals. Please leave/send information about the animals feeding schedule, food type, medications/vitamins, and directions about your home. Overnight stays: I will bring my own food, i just ask to use the fridge :) Im okay with sleeping on the couch! Your home will be tidied up before i leave; you’ll find it just the way you left it.

They typically are timid and bark at new people for a while after entering the home, but when she came in, they took so quickly to her and my most fearful and timid dog did not bark at her nonstop. He actually went up to her quicker than any other dog sitter previously. Michaela sent updates throughout the visit and kept me up to date. The dogs really seemed to like her which was such a blessing. Having 3 large dogs can be intimidating, but Michaela was at ease and did a wonderful job. I definitely would recommend her and will use her again in the future.”

Not only did she step up and save our planned trip to Bahamas after our other scheduled rover home stay sitter we had booked months earlier canceled last minute on us, but she also went above and beyond in every way, from doing some positive reinforcement training with our kitten with his harness and leash, and asking good questions( she has attention to detail) and cleaning our place at the end of the stay. She sent us lots of good updates and photos which showed our dog and kitten were having a good time. She is an amazing resource when it comes to cats since she volunteers and a big cat Sanctuary, and with her degree in animal law and her passion for animal advocacy, we knew Huntington and Remi were in the best hands possible for their care! I was especially drawn to Rover after long-term dog sitting these 2 wonderful Dobermans, it made me want to create even more special bonds just like that. I highly recommend Mandi as a pet and house sitter. Trust me when I say she goes above and beyond on her duties as a pet sitter. Unfortunately, we had a sewer problem at our home during her stay and since we were out of the country, we were able to handle it over the phone and get a plumber in to fix the issue. Mandi was absolutely amazing in communicating and keeping us updated with our pup during our trip. We will definitely have her pet sit again.
