Not only did she step up and save our planned trip to Bahamas after our other scheduled rover home stay sitter we had booked months earlier canceled last minute on us, but she also went above and beyond in every way, from doing some positive reinforcement training with our kitten with his harness and leash, and asking good questions( she has attention to detail) and cleaning our place at the end of the stay. She sent us lots of good updates and photos which showed our dog and kitten were having a good time. She is an amazing resource when it comes to cats since she volunteers and a big cat Sanctuary, and with her degree in animal law and her passion for animal advocacy, we knew Huntington and Remi were in the best hands possible for their care! “Alexis stayed with our two dogs and 10 week old kitten for the weekend while we went away. Our dogs were both strays before we adopted them so they’ve both got quirks. We had only had the kitten for 3 weeks so we were still getting the dogs used to her. It was a bit nerve wracking leaving the crew with a sitter, but Alexis handled them wonderfully. The day we left, one of the dogs was resource guarding his chicken and Alexis calmly gave a calm but firm no and removed the chicken. She was patient and kind but set perfect boundaries and I knew I had picked the right one 🥰 She had great communication and sent tons of pictures. House was clean and well-cared for when we got home. I’m grateful to have someone available who can handle our pack. Will definitely utilize her help again for walks and sitting ❤️”

About: I've grown up with cats since I was 8 and began petsitting for people in my 1st couple years of college around 2015. I've done both dogsitting and catsitting for people and I love both animals equally! I have petsat for people with animals of all ages, with the youngest dog I have watched being about 8-10 months and the oldest being about 14 or 15. I love exploring new places and being outdoors especially since I live in one of the most beautiful places in the U.S. with the best weather! I find it equally enjoyable to see a dog smile and to see him/her bring joy to their owner and to people around them. I love to see how dogs can bring people together and get people to connect who would otherwise likely never talk to each other. I genuinely enjoy helping others and caring for pets really is its own kind of therapy! I will always clean up after pets even if its raining or if the dog wants to rush off and I have to step on the leash to keep him/her from taking off. I live by the golden rule and will do what I can to hold people accountable for pets that aren't being taken care of and/or cleaned up after. I'm currently working part time at San Diego Community College district as an Educational Coach with a students who are special needs or neurodivergent student population. I work about 17-19 hours a week for that job and am typically away from the home for 5 hours a day or less on Mon-Thurs depending on the day and number of students I'm meeting with. Some administrative tasks for my school job can be done remotely. I want to do more dog-walking and housesitting because it motivates me to stay active and foster connections with animals that my current living situation doesn't allow for. I also love hearing people's pet rescue stories and funny stories because each pet has its own personality and leaves pawprints on others hearts and lives! I love spending time with pets by throwing them their favorite toy and cuddling with them on the couch or bed. I also care for them by taking them for walks or finding the perfect new toy from an old volleyball, piece of rope, or other seemingly random objects that pets decide to take a liking to. Its interesting to see what they choose and of course there are limits there of things that should not be considered due to being hazardous due to being a choking hazard, but I'm all about finding new ways for them to have fun. I will feed them as often as you need and I have also given a dog its pills disguised in peanut butter or in its kibble a few times. If your animal is only allowed in parts of the house or yard I will keep the pens up and only allow it out as directed. I will provide them water as well as with treats or dental chews as preferred. I will take dogs out to use the bathroom as often as I am able, typically once every couple hours while I'm home and once every few hours if I'm going out. Feel free to reach out via text to clarify this, especially if your pet has specific needs or needs to be taken out more frequently to use the restroom.

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! From fostering and eventually adopting my beloved Boston Terrier to raising six cats and caring for two large Labradors over the past two years, I’ve gained a lifetime of hands-on experience with animals of all personalities, sizes, and needs. About: Rescued my current 5 year old dog from being abandoned in Tijuana. Spent every day with her since, I have so much love for animals especially dogs. About: I love dogs. Well, animals in general. I’ve always had a passion for them. No one will treat your pet with as much respect as I do. So much so, I might even get a little too attached to these animals haha. But that’s why I wanted to do this. I mean, getting paid to take care of cute dogs? Talk about enjoying your job am I right. I will have no less than a great time with dogs. I can’t wait to see these beautiful animals. I might also bring my dog as well to socialize him around other doggos as well. I hope you all understand that I am definitely going to be the best. I work 25 hours a week and am a full-time college student. However, my schedule is flexible and I’ll be 100% available for these babies and they’ll definitely be in the best hands with me. I have a fenced patio so the doggos can’t escape and I’m always extremely careful with doors and gates anything like that. I’m always careful.
