About: Hi, I'm Emily! I've been drawn to animals of all kinds since I was a kid! I grew up taking care of both cats and dogs, and have had a dog of my own since 2021. I'm well-versed in animal care; in addition to the basics (walks, feeding, play), I'm familiar with many common needs, like medication administration, training/behavioral reinforcement, and gland expression. I have a flexible schedule and typically respond to requests within a few hours. I'm able to spend a lot of my time at home; usually when I'm out of the apartment, it's for no more than about four hours or so at a time. My standard schedule is to provide three walks a day (morning, midday, evening) plus a quick potty break before bedtime, but I can adjust that up or down depending on your dog's needs. Dogs staying with me can expect lots of pets, cuddles, and playtime. I do allow pets on my furniture and bed, but if that's a behavior you're trying to limit, I can take that into account while your pet is staying here. At all times, and especially when outside, the safety of your pet is paramount to me. During walks, I actively monitor for dangerous situations/behaviors, like encounters with unfamiliar dogs or trying to eat things they shouldn't. Please feel free to share anything about your pet that I should take into account while they're in my care.

About: I am a young professional with two orange cats of my own! I've been watching animals for my family, friends, and neighbors since I was a kid; I love cats and dogs of all colors, breeds, shapes, and sizes. I'm currently between jobs, so I have plenty of time to play with your pups or satisfy your unique care needs! I raised my next bestie from the day she was born until she crossed the rainbow bridge, and I’ve loved my Fiona for nearly 14 years. I also grew up with a family dog and helped care for him while living at home and during college breaks. That included feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship. I currently work freelance and have a very flexible schedule so my days are built around what bookings I have in a given week. About: I’ve been dog-sitting for about 5 years now. I’ve mainly taken care of small to medium sized dogs but I’m open to looking after larger dogs as well. I am very reliable and have a lot of energy to keep your dog entertained throughout the day. I love going for walks and and going to dog parks if allowed by the owner. I live in an apartment and it’s dog-friend and the apartment has a dog area where they can relieve themselves. I live in a studio apartment but there’s plenty of open space where your pup can lounge around. I’m very attentive of your dogs needs, so I stay on top of taking them out for walks and making sure their water bowl is kept full and following their feeding schedule. Also open to grooming and showering your dog, especially if they are staying overnight with me. If your pup is energetic and loves to play we will be a great match!!

About: I've had my dog 15+ years and fostered dogs for many years before that. My dog Snork and I take 3 walks a day and comes with me to work each day. I love my little guy! Since Snork is a senior dog and he can't walk as far as he used to, I'm looking for more opportunities to walk and enjoy dogs! I currently work a 9-5 job so I'm able to care for your pet after 5:30pm on weekdays or anytime on weekends. I would consider some mornings on a short term basis. I would prefer to care for your pet from your home; however, in some cases, I can care for a pet in my home. I have a fenced in backyard and live near a wooded walking path.

“Sydney was amazing with my sweet dog PJ. I came to Richmond from out of town for a few days and was grateful to coordinate several dog walks with Sydney. PJ is not a city dog, so I was a little hesitant on how best to handle downtown Richmond. Sydney knows the area well as a VCU student, and she was able to find green space and waterfront walks for PJ. She also did well to secure arrangements with me on short notice. About: I have been a foster for the Richmond SPCA for almost 5 years now. I have exclusively fostered cats from the SPCA but I have experience working with dogs as well from another fostering agency. I love animals and use this platform as a way to care for others until I can get my own pet. I am very patient and calm around pets and have experience caring for both cats and dogs. I am able to do walks and check ins on Mondays and Fridays as well as the weekends. I work a hybrid full time job so I am most flexible on the weekends. However, I can work with you to find the best time on Mondays and Fridays! I am very respectful of other people’s spaces and want what’s best for your pet! I love to ask questions beforehand to make dog walking or pet sitting as smooth as possible and know where the required materials are before I get there.

About: I grew up with our family's miniature dachshund since I was 12 years old. During that time, I learned to take care of her and what it takes to be a good dog owner. Don't tell my family, but I'm definitely my dog's favorite! Growing up, I was always the go-to dog, cat, and one time a mini pig, sitter for friends and family. Taking care of animals has always been a passion for me! Since I moved out of my parents' home, I'm no longer directly in charge of taking care of my family dog, but I have now adopted a cat. I have always felt a special connection to dogs, and I am happy to say I feel that way about cats now too. I work full-time; however, I live close to my job and have flexibility when it comes to coming home to take care of any pets. I also have my afternoons free! I believe pets have different ways they like being loved; some are more social, while others need their space. About: I’ve had pets my entire life growing up. In terms of dogs had a yellow lab, golden retrievers, mutts. I’ve also had many cats growing up and a wide variety of other pets, such as Guinea pigs, hamsters, hermit crabs and even pigme goats. I have also been very active in taking care of all of my families pets. I currently have 2 dogs and 3 cats. One of my dogs is a Newfie mix and almost pulls my arm off whenever I walk him. So if I can handle walking him I’m sure I can handle waking any dog! I have also worked at a petting zoo and on a private farm taking care of animals. I am a huge animal lover and will take the best care of your pet! I’m currently working part time and in graduate school online so I will have plenty of time to care for your pet! I’m available weekdays and weekends! When I am stopping in for a home visit or walk I will be sure to follow any and all instructions left for me and take superb care of your pet! I always make sure to leave the house neat and clean, send updates throughout my time with your pet and give them lots of affection!
