About: Hi! I’m Eliza, I recently finished grad school at VCU and am doing some freelance creative work currently, so I have a very flexible and available schedule to help with your pets! I've loved animals my whole life and have grown up with dogs. When I was younger, I helped raise and train one of our dogs from puppyhood, where I learned how to care for a dog's daily needs. Four years ago, I adopted my first cat, and caring for her has given me plenty of experience with feline care as well. Whether it's walking dogs, dropping in for feedings, playing with energetic pets, scooping litter and refreshing water, or just keeping pets company, I'll care for your animals as if they were my own. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, and I'm happy to adapt to whatever helps them feel comfortable and cared for. I am post grad school and currently doing freelance work from home, so my schedule is pretty flexible! I am very free in the afternoons typically. I will take extreme care in caution when in people’s homes. As someone who has used this as well for my own cat, I understand the fear with letting people in your home. I can assure you I will treat your home with the same respect I would want my own.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and have always loved being around them. In February, I got my first puppy of my own, a large, high-energy breed, and have been raising and training him myself. That experience has taught me a lot about puppy care, leash walking, basic training, and handling energetic dogs. I’ll treat your dog like my own and make sure they get the care, attention, and exercise they need! I have just graduated college and will be starting my masters next month. This summer I am very flexible with time and spend most days with my puppy, or taking care of others! I have a very friendly dog that is 8 months old. He loves to play and go on many adventures. We are familiar with several nearby parks and trails for long walks!

About: Coming from a family with all sorts of animals and exotic pets, I feel comfortable caring for not just dogs and cats but your other loved ones too! I am patient and accommodating towards animals with special needs or for those requiring additional care outside of regular walks and feedings. I currently operate on a flexible schedule and am willing to accept last minute emergency visits or sittings if needed. I bartend some evenings but always do check ins before and after shifts! I currently live with a beagle who is crate-trained and we let her out in our backyard to use the bathroom. We monitor her closely as she is quick to eat anything in her sight. I am highly observant and able to make sure your pet does not get into trouble.

About: I moved to Richmond about a year ago, which meant leaving my two pups back home with their dad. As rural, born-and-bred dogs, city life just wasn’t the right fit for them. So now, I’m filling that gap by spending time with other people’s furry friends! About: I am an animal husbandry professional, specializing in reptile and small mammal care. I have formerly volunteered with the SPCA and dog sat periodically for 10 years— on top of caring for my own pets ! As an animal care professional, I have started every day with routine animal husbandry for a variety of animals; I have cared for mammals, reptiles, and invertebrates for over five years. In my home life, I have lived with cats and dogs. Currently, I only have a cat at home and I keep a feeding and cleaning daily routine. When caring for pets in your home, or walking pets, I aim to provide an enrichment and exercise focused care practice. Enrichment is a fundamental need of all animals and I believe in equally caring for their mental and physical needs. While walking pets, I walk with them at their pace and am happy to implement general training practices such as the focus command. While watching pets for an extended period, I prioritize meeting their needs on their regular routine and frequency/intensity so as not to disrupt their regular behaviors and needs.

About: I have taken care of both dogs and cats since I was about 16 years old and have always had a pet of my own! I am very flexible with scheduling and am always looking to help out when I can. I do work full time, however my role is very flexible and fully remote! Therefore, I am able to fit work around pet care on most days! I do have a vehicle as well. I have a cat (a scardy cat), so am unable to board other cats or dogs at my apartment. However, happy to come to you for drop-ins or overnight stays.
