About: I am very available in the summertime (I am a teacher), and I am available on day on Saturdays and Sundays. During the week, I am able to travel to your pet in the morning and evening (before and after work). On weekends and on school breaks I am very flexible. I currently am a teacher, so I am available morning and evening on weekdays, and I am available all day on weekends. I am also available all the time in the summer. I am very willing to come take care of your pets at your house. I am very welcoming to all behaviors and I will follow all expectations perfectly, as well as take care of your animal with as much love as you would!

About: I moved to Richmond about a year ago, which meant leaving my two pups back home with their dad. As rural, born-and-bred dogs, city life just wasn’t the right fit for them. So now, I’m filling that gap by spending time with other people’s furry friends! I’ve become the go-to dog walker for my neighbors, and I genuinely love it—it gives me my weekly dose of wagging tails and happy walks. I will provide attentive, personalized care based on each pets routine and personality, whether I’m in my client’s home or caring for them on a walk. I make sure every pet gets plenty of exercise, affection, and supervision, while sticking closely to any instructions the owner provides regarding feeding, leash use, or behavior preferences.

About: I’ve been a cat mama since our family cat chose me as his favorite nap spot the day I came home from the hospital! I raised my next bestie from the day she was born until she crossed the rainbow bridge, and I’ve loved my Fiona for nearly 14 years. I have plenty of experience with cats of all ages, including administering medication, accommodating quirky needs, and navigating sassy attitudes! I also grew up with a family dog and helped care for him while living at home and during college breaks. That included feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship. I bring patience and attention to each pet’s personality and routine, and I’m happy to learn all the little details that help yours feel comfortable and loved. I currently work freelance and have a very flexible schedule so my days are built around what bookings I have in a given week. About: Hi, I'm Emily! I've been drawn to animals of all kinds since I was a kid! I grew up taking care of both cats and dogs, and have had a dog of my own since 2021. I'm well-versed in animal care; in addition to the basics (walks, feeding, play), I'm familiar with many common needs, like medication administration, training/behavioral reinforcement, and gland expression. I have a flexible schedule and typically respond to requests within a few hours. I'm able to spend a lot of my time at home; usually when I'm out of the apartment, it's for no more than about four hours or so at a time. My standard schedule is to provide three walks a day (morning, midday, evening) plus a quick potty break before bedtime, but I can adjust that up or down depending on your dog's needs. Dogs staying with me can expect lots of pets, cuddles, and playtime. I do allow pets on my furniture and bed, but if that's a behavior you're trying to limit, I can take that into account while your pet is staying here. At all times, and especially when outside, the safety of your pet is paramount to me. During walks, I actively monitor for dangerous situations/behaviors, like encounters with unfamiliar dogs or trying to eat things they shouldn't. Please feel free to share anything about your pet that I should take into account while they're in my care.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a teenager, including puppies and senior dogs requiring medication. I'm well handled walking strong and reactive dogs, and can do grooming for long stays. I currently work part time (occasional Saturday nights) and am available to care for dogs throughout the day. I'm an early riser and love walking the neighborhood in the morning. I'm happy to play with extra energetic dogs. For home visits, I will be available to visit twice a day, or can stay with dogs in the home.

About: I’ve been dog-sitting for about 5 years now. I’ve mainly taken care of small to medium sized dogs but I’m open to looking after larger dogs as well. I am very reliable and have a lot of energy to keep your dog entertained throughout the day. I love going for walks and and going to dog parks if allowed by the owner. I live in an apartment and it’s dog-friend and the apartment has a dog area where they can relieve themselves. I live in a studio apartment but there’s plenty of open space where your pup can lounge around. I’m very attentive of your dogs needs, so I stay on top of taking them out for walks and making sure their water bowl is kept full and following their feeding schedule. Also open to grooming and showering your dog, especially if they are staying overnight with me. If your pup is energetic and loves to play we will be a great match!!

About: I have been working with animals for ten years now! I owned a dog care and behavior management business in Richmond before taking a break to continue my education and now hold a BS in animal behavior and cognition. I have worked with dogs of all shapes, ages, sizes, breeds, and backgrounds…name it and I’ve probably done it or at least have a related funny story! I specialize in adult and senior dogs who exhibit behaviors such as reactivity, fear, aggression, and anxiety and dogs who have specialized health conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy, gastrointestinal issues, joint pain, and cognitive decline. Given my background and specialty, I’m a huge advocate for consensual interactions and give the dogs in my care as much choice and autonomy as possible. I’m also a big fan of enrichment activities that encourage species typical behaviors and tailoring care to each individual dog’s unique needs. Dogs will always be my first love and I can’t wait to meet yours! I owned a business working with dogs full time and hope to continue that journey through Rover! I am available for 30 minute visits and hour long visits Monday-Friday from 9-6 and am available for overnight care + housesitting Monday-Sunday. As of right now, I am only available to care for animals at the clients home. I have found through experience that animals typically do better when in their own homes surrounded by familiar sights, sounds, and smells. This also allows me to follow the dog’s exact schedule and routine which aids in reducing any anxiety the dog might experience. I like to tailor my care to each dog’s individual needs. Some dogs love to power walk for an hour straight, others prefer to cuddle on the couch with a five minute potty break, and some prefer interactive playtime with lots of verbal praise! Each dog is unique and deserves an individual experience based on their needs and the clients needs.
