About: I specialize in thoughtful, low-stress care for cats of all personalities—from social and playful to shy and selective. I take the time to understand each cat’s routine, preferences, and boundaries so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I have experience with multi-cat households, administering basic medications, and caring for senior cats who need a little extra patience and attention. I’m highly reliable, communicative, and detail-oriented, and I treat your home and your cat with the same level of care I would expect for my own. You can expect regular updates, photos, and peace of mind knowing your cat is in calm, capable hands. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I maintain a flexible schedule that allows me to plan my day around visits, ensuring I’m always on time and able to provide consistent, attentive care. I’m intentional about not overbooking so each cat receives the time, attention, and calm presence they deserve. Whether it’s a quick drop-in or a longer visit, I prioritize being fully present and dependable. I focus on maintaining each cat’s normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. During visits, I handle feeding, fresh water, litter box care, and playtime or companionship based on your cat’s personality. I take the time to understand preferences — whether that’s interactive play, quiet company, or simply respecting their space. I’m attentive to small changes in behavior or appetite and will always communicate anything noteworthy. I also treat your home with care and respect, keeping things clean and consistent. You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you always know how your cat is doing.
“Deiandre was great. He was very communicative and gave detailed reports after every walk. It was such a relief knowing my sweet girl was in good hands while I was on a work trip.”

“Shelby walked my dog daily for over a week while I was unable. She was always on time, responsible, friendly to my dog, and communicative. I recommend her as a dog walker.”

“Niely did a fantastic job looking after my elderly pup and cat. She gave lots of pictures and text updates, it felt great to know they were getting a lot of attention and love. Would recommend and will definitely use again!”

About: I have loved animals since forever. I’ve taken care of pets for neighbors and friends and love meeting new animals! I run track in college, so I would love to bring a furry friend on a run or walk and am more than happy to bathe and feed them afterwards. I’m currently working part time, so I will have lots of time to care for your pets! I’m currently home from college, so I can work until mid August. I will heavily rely on the information given to me about specific animals and their behavior. While the yard is surrounded by trees, there is no fence so I can keep an eye on the dog. There is also a pond in the backyard.
“Avery is so wonderful! She helped us out with walks for our new puppy and was incredibly attentive to our training process. Our dogs loved her and she always provided so many cute pictures and thorough updates. We’ll be using her for all of our pet care needs moving forward. I’m so happy we found her!!”

I am comfortable caring for up to three dogs at once. I also have extensive experience caring for cats with all types of personalities. I have my own transportation and can travel within Richmond city limits. Your pet deserves all of the care and special attention in the world - and you can trust me to provide just that! I’m a VCU instructor on summer break until August, so every day of the week is open for booking. I am happy to conduct two or three drop-ins or walks per day. As the proud parent of a neurotic dachshund mix, I understand that every pet has their unique needs! I will follow any instructions you provide and will send photos, videos, and any other updates you request.
“Shannon was huge help walking our dog Nora after my foot surgery. She was responsible, communicative, and took some cute pictures of Nora during their walks! We will definitely book again.”

About: I've never not had animals in my life! I spent my early years on a working farm and have always had a way with animals. Dogs love me (cats, too!) and I them ❤️ I have many years of experience in the veterinary field and know what to do in emergencies. I am currently working part time and my schedule is flexible. I do work away from home for 5-8 hours a day, split shift. I have dogs amd cats but can keep them separate, if necessary. My dogs are dog friendly, although my beagle mix is very bossy (typical!) Dogs will be in the house with my dogs, but they can be separated, if needed. I can crate, if the parents supply the crate. Dogs will be leash walked in the wide front yard but we can also go across the street to the dog park, too!

About: I've been around dogs my entire life, from SPCA rescues and retired service dogs to hunting dogs that preferred the couch! Growing up with such a variety of pups taught me that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. I'm an active, dependable caregiver who loves getting outside for walks, playtime, and enrichment, but I'm just as happy giving belly rubs, ear scratches, and plenty of affection to dogs who prefer to relax. I'll always treat your dog like one of my own by following their routine, providing lots of attention, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I know how important peace of mind is, so you can count on me to provide reliable care and regular updates so you always know how your pup is doing. I currently have the most availability for dog walks on weekends and weekday evenings. Once we've established a routine and your pup is comfortable with me, I may also be able to offer additional care depending on my schedule. I strive to be reliable, communicative, and flexible whenever possible to help meet you and your dog's needs. During walks, your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I stay attentive and keep a close eye on each dog at all times, especially when we’re getting familiar with each other and encountering other dogs, people, or new environments.
About: I have been fostering dogs and cats for about 7 years now and recently started working at Richmond Animal League as a dog care and enrichment specialist. Ranging from pairs of puppies to pit-bulls to litters of kittens to severely anxious dogs, I have taken care of them all. I understand that not all dogs are going to be the stereotypical dog, and I am prepared for any type of pet. I’m able to manage various behavioral and medical issues and provide basic assistance in these areas (oral medication, eye ointment, injections). I also train puppies - leash training, potty training, crate training, basic obedience, and basic tricks — and have worked with dog-reactive and anxious adult dogs. If you need me to help with training, I would be more than happy to help! Please keep in mind I am not a certified trainer. *for awareness: I work at my local shelter from 3pm-8pm on Thursdays and 8am-3pm on Saturdays. If you choose to book with me, please note that I will be away for these hours. *I have a 3 year old cat who loves dogs. If your baby loves cats & is respectful, please consider booking a stay with me. It would be great for them to meet and become friends! I just graduated from being student-athlete at Stanford and am now working hybrid in Richmond. I have no issue with waking up early and or staying up late to care for your loved pet. I am interested in dog sitting in your home and providing dog walks/drop-ins as needed! I can also do some boarding and day cares . I am working hybrid (3 days in office / week) so will need to know in advance if you'd like me to be working from home any weekdays. Other than that, I am perfectly fine adjusting to your pets schedule (wake up and bed time).

About: I’ve always been an animal person and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and reptiles, including my own ball python. I grew up with an Australian Shepherd who can be very anxious, so I’m used to being patient with nervous pets and helping them feel safe and comfortable. I’ve pet sat for animals of all different temperaments, including a cat with a more aggressive personality, so I understand the importance of respecting each animal’s boundaries and adapting to their individual needs. I love spending time outdoors and taking walks, and I know the Richmond area well. With two years of professional housekeeping experience, I’m comfortable caring for both pets and homes with the same level of respect and attention to detail I’d want for my own. My goal is to provide dependable care for both your pet and your home, while making sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved while you’re away! I work about 20 hours a week as an esthetician and make my own schedule, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets. Because I set my own hours, I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so I would love to fit pet care into my routine. I believe every pet is different, so I do my best to follow their normal routine and make them feel as comfortable as possible. In a client’s home, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while keeping up with their feeding schedule and any specific instructions you provide. For cats staying in my home, I’ll provide a calm, safe environment where they can settle in at their own pace. Having lived with multiple cats of various personalities, I understand that some cats are social while others prefer their space, and I’m happy to accommodate both! I will stay in regular communication, providing updates and photos so you always know how they’re doing!
