About: Hi! I’m Eliza, I recently finished grad school at VCU and am doing some freelance creative work currently, so I have a very flexible and available schedule to help with your pets! I've loved animals my whole life and have grown up with dogs. When I was younger, I helped raise and train one of our dogs from puppyhood, where I learned how to care for a dog's daily needs. Four years ago, I adopted my first cat, and caring for her has given me plenty of experience with feline care as well. Whether it's walking dogs, dropping in for feedings, playing with energetic pets, scooping litter and refreshing water, or just keeping pets company, I'll care for your animals as if they were my own. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, and I'm happy to adapt to whatever helps them feel comfortable and cared for. I am post grad school and currently doing freelance work from home, so my schedule is pretty flexible! I am very free in the afternoons typically. I will take extreme care in caution when in people’s homes. As someone who has used this as well for my own cat, I understand the fear with letting people in your home. I can assure you I will treat your home with the same respect I would want my own.
About: I've been around dogs my entire life: Owned 4 and raised/trained 16 service dogs in training for children with disabilities. I run half marathons, so I'll run with your pup if that's what they like! I have plenty of toys that I've collected over the years for your dog to play with! I love teaching dogs new tricks and commands, and would love to work with your fur baby so they can show you something special when you return! I take pictures constantly, so you will always have an update on your pup. I am comfortable with all breeds, and have the most experience with labs, goldens, and doodles. I am happy to give your pup a bath for a small fee so they come back to you looking and feeling great! I also have experience teaching basic commands to your dog, and would be more than happy to discuss training programs if that’s something you’re interested in! I also have experience with kittens and cats, having had 3 of my own. I'm comfortable with super friendly cats, or cats that want to keep to themselves. I will make sure your cat has food, water, and a clean litter box while you are away. In addition I can offer care for any gardens/houseplants that you have as well! While I work during the week, I am still committed to providing the best care for your pets. This will especially be true for pets that are use to having their people work during the day! This will provide a routine for your furry family member while you are away! While I live in an apartment, I am close to a park if your dog is friendly and enjoys going for walks! I am also very comfortable caring for cats and all that that entails while the cat stays in your home, usually where they are the most comfortable.
“Mark took great care of our puppy. He was very quick to respond to my request (it was somewhat short notice) and was a lifesaver. He kept us updated and paid attention to our dogs needs. I highly recommend Mark and will be using him in the future.”

“Shelby walked my dog daily for over a week while I was unable. She was always on time, responsible, friendly to my dog, and communicative. I recommend her as a dog walker.”

“Brandi was so great with my dogs while I was away. She sent me a detailed report about their behaviors while on their walk. I received multiple great pictures of my babies attached to the report and it made me feel so much better while I was away. As someone who is a first time user of Rover, I am so glad to have found someone who is knowledgeable, caring, and willing to help in any way she can. I highly recommend Brandi to anyone who loves their furbabies”

About: I have been a dog owner for my whole life. I love the idea of spending time with other animals, my dog is my life. I currently work from home and have lots of free time. I have been trying to figure out something to do during the day that will have me moving and not just sitting at a desk, while incorporating my love for animals. My dog stays with me during the day night, sleeping under my desk and sleeps with me at night. I live in a walkable neighborhood.
“Deiandre was great. He was very communicative and gave detailed reports after every walk. It was such a relief knowing my sweet girl was in good hands while I was on a work trip.”

“Shannon was huge help walking our dog Nora after my foot surgery. She was responsible, communicative, and took some cute pictures of Nora during their walks! We will definitely book again.”

About: I have been fostering dogs and cats for about 7 years now and recently started working at Richmond Animal League as a dog care and enrichment specialist. Ranging from pairs of puppies to pit-bulls to litters of kittens to severely anxious dogs, I have taken care of them all. I understand that not all dogs are going to be the stereotypical dog, and I am prepared for any type of pet. I’m able to manage various behavioral and medical issues and provide basic assistance in these areas (oral medication, eye ointment, injections). I also train puppies - leash training, potty training, crate training, basic obedience, and basic tricks — and have worked with dog-reactive and anxious adult dogs. If you need me to help with training, I would be more than happy to help! Please keep in mind I am not a certified trainer. *for awareness: I work at my local shelter from 3pm-8pm on Thursdays and 8am-3pm on Saturdays. If you choose to book with me, please note that I will be away for these hours. *I have a 3 year old cat who loves dogs. If your baby loves cats & is respectful, please consider booking a stay with me. It would be great for them to meet and become friends! I just graduated from being student-athlete at Stanford and am now working hybrid in Richmond. I have no issue with waking up early and or staying up late to care for your loved pet. I am interested in dog sitting in your home and providing dog walks/drop-ins as needed! I can also do some boarding and day cares . I am working hybrid (3 days in office / week) so will need to know in advance if you'd like me to be working from home any weekdays. Other than that, I am perfectly fine adjusting to your pets schedule (wake up and bed time).
About: I have loved animals since forever. I’ve taken care of pets for neighbors and friends and love meeting new animals! I run track in college, so I would love to bring a furry friend on a run or walk and am more than happy to bathe and feed them afterwards. I’m currently working part time, so I will have lots of time to care for your pets! I’m currently home from college, so I can work until mid August. I will heavily rely on the information given to me about specific animals and their behavior. While the yard is surrounded by trees, there is no fence so I can keep an eye on the dog. There is also a pond in the backyard.
“Lauren was an excellent dog walker! Our dog Mabel loved her and we felt at ease knowing she was getting some great exercise when we weren't able to be home. Lauren also wrote fun, detailed "report cards" that made us smile every time we got one! Would definitely work with her again.”

“I needed to get work done and my Dog needs a lot of exercise and interaction, so I decided to schedule a walk-run for her hyperactive needs. Deon showed up on time shortly after I booked and got her moving. She Loved him and took to him immediately. She did not want to leave him when there run was done. I see why he's in high demand, and will be booking with him again.”

About: I’ve been around dogs for years and truly enjoy caring for animals of all ages and personalities. I have experience with daily walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. During the summer, I have a very flexible schedule and am available most days during the week. During the school year, I work as a teacher, so I’m available after 3:00 p.m. on weekdays and into the evening. Feel free to reach out, and I’ll do my best to accommodate your pet’s needs! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a member of your family, and I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, provide plenty of love and attention, and keep you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Three Chopt
Kyra has walked my American Foxhound several times while I was traveling, and the process is always pleasant and seamless. She has an upbeat communication style and sends a great Rover card for every walk. My hound seems to be enjoying her time with Kyra -- I'm very happy with this arrangement.

Jessica did a great job walking our Australian Shepherd! It was my first time using Rover and she made it super easy. She was right on time, professional, and friendly. Will definitely be reaching out to Jessica next time I need helping walking my dog! Thanks Jessica!!

Evelyn is amazing! So happy I went with her. She comes every time on time and if there is a problem, she let's me know in advance (which only happened twice in the 2 months and it was only a time difference that was within the hr of the original time). I even had to use her on a day she was not scheduled, last minute on a weekend night and she made it happen. Jada will miss her when we leave Richmond!
