About: I have been pet sitting for my community since I can remember!!! I have experience administering medications in topical form, oral medication via syringe, eye ointments, and nose droppers!! For daily drop ins, I will be able to check in before, during, and after working hours due to my flexible working schedule :-) I will respect all of the rules and jobs that the owner of the pet would give to me!!! I am clean, responsible, and honest!!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life of all sizes. I grew up with a great pyranees/ border collie and have a dog of my own who is a dachshund. I dog sat for my neighbor, friends, and relatives frequently. I also have experience in sitting for cats as well. I can also help your dog learn new tricks! I taught my dog how to sit, stay, lay down, paw, roll over, follow, and wait all within 6 months. I am currently a part-time employee and have a dog of my own, so I have plenty of time and experience in pet care to give your furbaby the care they deserve! I’m flexible to what they need. Whatever needs you have for your furbaby I can meet! My dog is very particular, so I am patient, willing and understanding to what your pet needs.
“Avery is very sweet and attentive to Goldie. She can over early in the first walk to sit and slow Goldie to get comfortable with her. Loved all the photos and feedback about my dog.”

“Mark took great care of our puppy. He was very quick to respond to my request (it was somewhat short notice) and was a lifesaver. He kept us updated and paid attention to our dogs needs. I highly recommend Mark and will be using him in the future.”

“Taylor has been awesome! We have a bully puppy that absolutely adores her! She is on time, trustworthy and very personable, and even loves on my kitties when she comes and lets our puppy out! We love Taylor!”

About: Hi. I go by Kimmy! I think what sets me apart most is that I genuinely enjoy being around animals and I’m very comfortable handling both the fun and messy parts of pet care. I’m especially experienced with cats — I currently have three of my own, including two that I adopted as seniors and one kitten I raised from 8 weeks old. That’s given me experience with everything from energetic kittens to older cats that need extra patience, monitoring, and gentle care. I’m also comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’ve helped care for stubborn corgis, abandoned 5-month-old puppies, and pitbull mixes. When my boyfriend works long days, I regularly take his dogs out for walks up to six times a day because I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and making sure they get enough exercise and attention. I’m not squeamish or easily overwhelmed, so I’m comfortable handling things like accidents, litter boxes, hairballs, vomit, bath time, medications, minor wound care, and cleaning up after pets when they’re not feeling well. I pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy, and bathroom habits because I know those small details can matter. I try to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I'm currently a part time graduate student, and most of my classes are online so I'll have plenty of time to give your cat or dog the attention and care they deserve. I currently take my boyfriend's two dogs out at 6 AM every morning, so any time after 7 AM and before 7 PM is ideal for drop ins, walks, feedings, etc. I try to keep pets as comfortable and stress-free as possible by sticking closely to their normal routine. I pay attention to feeding schedules, walks, litter box or potty habits, medications if needed, and making sure they’re getting enough attention, exercise, and affection while their owner is away. For cats, I’m very used to monitoring behavior, appetite, water intake, and litter box habits since I have three of my own, including two seniors. I know some cats need space at first while others want constant attention, so I adjust based on their personality and comfort level. I’m also comfortable handling things like hairballs, accidents, or cleaning up if they’re not feeling well. For dogs, I make sure they get plenty of exercise, bathroom breaks, and interaction throughout the day. I regularly help walk and care for my boyfriend’s dogs when he works long shifts, so I’m used to keeping up with high-energy dogs as well as more stubborn personalities. I’m comfortable with cleanup, bath time, minor wound care, and making sure pets feel safe, calm, and cared for in both my home and theirs. I make sure to update or ask permission from the owners if there are any deviations.
About: I've been around dogs my entire life: Owned 4 and raised/trained 16 service dogs in training for children with disabilities. I run half marathons, so I'll run with your pup if that's what they like! I have plenty of toys that I've collected over the years for your dog to play with! I love teaching dogs new tricks and commands, and would love to work with your fur baby so they can show you something special when you return! I take pictures constantly, so you will always have an update on your pup. I am comfortable with all breeds, and have the most experience with labs, goldens, and doodles. I am happy to give your pup a bath for a small fee so they come back to you looking and feeling great! I also have experience teaching basic commands to your dog, and would be more than happy to discuss training programs if that’s something you’re interested in! I also have experience with kittens and cats, having had 3 of my own. I'm comfortable with super friendly cats, or cats that want to keep to themselves. I will make sure your cat has food, water, and a clean litter box while you are away. In addition I can offer care for any gardens/houseplants that you have as well! While I work during the week, I am still committed to providing the best care for your pets. This will especially be true for pets that are use to having their people work during the day! This will provide a routine for your furry family member while you are away! While I live in an apartment, I am close to a park if your dog is friendly and enjoys going for walks! I am also very comfortable caring for cats and all that that entails while the cat stays in your home, usually where they are the most comfortable.
About: I’ve provided pet care for various animals for many years. I have two energetic dogs and will care for your pet as if they were my own. I understand the importance of routine and your pet’s comfort, so will ensure that instructions are followed to the letter. I have the ability to work from home so can be flexible with drop-ins to meet your needs! My availability is updated regularly and can also work with you individually to figure out care that works for you. I can approach care in your home and walks however your pet is most used to, ensuring they feel comfortable and can stick to their routine. Also let me know if there is anything else I can help with while dropping in!
“Shannon was huge help walking our dog Nora after my foot surgery. She was responsible, communicative, and took some cute pictures of Nora during their walks! We will definitely book again.”

“Deon is very friendly and an expert dog walker. My dog, Pancake, is not the easiest dog to walk (lots of pulling and lunging) but he handles it very well. He pays attention to what I tell him about her, and adjusts his walks to fit her idiosyncrasies.”

About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life. I currently have one sweet old lady doggo and way too many cats (plus fosters and an outdoor colony that I guess has decided I am their mom now). I also have three chickens and four bee hives! I've got experience with special needs animals (both vision and hearing impaired) and diapering your incontinent friends. I'm also a pilling magician, do pretty dang well with trimming cat nails (but not dogs), can usually muzzle a dog, and I have lots of experience giving subcutaneous injections to both cats and dogs (if your buddy has diabetes or needs fluids, I've got ya covered!). I'm also happy to take care of your chickens and reptiles (and have experience with both). I can even water your plants (I have a HUGE garden) and bring in your mail! In addition to neighborhood walks, I am open to taking your BFFs on adventure walks to the river, dog park, or anywhere else they love to go! One last thing, I'm low key obsessed with taking pet pictures (seriously, searching my phone for animal pictures returns over 22,000 results) so you'll get tons of pictures, don't worry! I'm working from home for what seems like the rest of eternity and work is very slow. Plus I am currently living alone. This leaves me with looooots of free time to check in on your babies. I'm also a very avid walker (one of my favorite hobbies) so you never have to worry about your best friend(s) getting a long enough walk. Trust me, with me they definitely will. I've got a couple of cats who are OBSESSED with trying to get outside and grew up with a dog who was a bolter. I am a PRO at blocking the door when coming and going to prevent an escape! I always leash dogs (and cats, if they like to go for a walk too). I've also got a car, a dog seatbelt, and carriers of varying sizes so in the unlikely event that catastrophe falls and a vet trip is needed, I've got that covered as well!

About: I’ve always been an animal person and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and reptiles, including my own ball python. I also have an Australian Shepherd who can be pretty anxious, so I’m used to being patient with nervous pets and helping them feel safe and comfortable. I’ve pet sat for both dogs and cats, including a cat with a more aggressive personality, so I understand the importance of respecting each animal’s boundaries and adapting to their individual needs. I love getting outside and taking walks, and I’m very familiar with the Richmond area. I also worked as a house cleaner for two years, so I’m comfortable being in clients’ homes and understand the importance of being respectful, trustworthy, and reliable. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe and happy while you’re away! I work about 20 hours a week as an esthetician and make my own schedule, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets. Because I set my own hours, I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so I would love to fit pet care into my routine. I believe every pet is different, so I do my best to follow their normal routine and make them feel as comfortable as possible. In a client’s home, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while keeping up with their feeding schedule and any specific instructions you provide. For cats staying in my home, I’ll provide a calm, safe environment where they can settle in at their own pace. Having lived with multiple cats of various personalities, I understand that some cats are social while others prefer their space, and I’m happy to accommodate both! I will stay in regular communication, providing updates and photos so you always know how they’re doing!

Three Chopt dog parents share their Rover experiences
Jessica did a great job walking our Australian Shepherd! It was my first time using Rover and she made it super easy. She was right on time, professional, and friendly. Will definitely be reaching out to Jessica next time I need helping walking my dog! Thanks Jessica!!

Evelyn is amazing! So happy I went with her. She comes every time on time and if there is a problem, she let's me know in advance (which only happened twice in the 2 months and it was only a time difference that was within the hr of the original time). I even had to use her on a day she was not scheduled, last minute on a weekend night and she made it happen. Jada will miss her when we leave Richmond!

He did a good job caring for our fur baby. His times was earlier or later than requested however it work out. Curly didn't have any accidents while we was away. Curly like him from the moment he met him. Hope to book him for our next getaway. To be able to trust someone while away is great feeling. Thank you
