About: My first dog, Bella, was a sweet black Lab whom I helped my family care for from 1yo to 11yo. After she sadly passed, my family adopted another black lab, Luther, who was a handful when he was a puppy! He is now 3yo, and I've helped care for him by playing with him, taking him on walks, and feeding him. I also have dog-sat for 2 Vizslas and 1 small terrier. When I was around 12yo I cat-sat for my neighbors and would play with and feed their 2 cats. I'm currently working a very flexible schedule as a student researcher. I'm extremely free on weekends and am willing to work early or late hours! I've walked dogs who have a "pulling" problem/are just very excited pups! I've also walked stubborn dogs who don't like to walk very far in the heat (my dog!). Additionally, I've fed dogs with unique food instructions involving medications and dogs who are stubborn eaters.

About: I've been around dogs my entire life: Owned 4 and raised/trained 16 service dogs in training for children with disabilities. I run half marathons, so I'll run with your pup if that's what they like! I have plenty of toys that I've collected over the years for your dog to play with! I love teaching dogs new tricks and commands, and would love to work with your fur baby so they can show you something special when you return! I take pictures constantly, so you will always have an update on your pup. I am comfortable with all breeds, and have the most experience with labs, goldens, and doodles. I am happy to give your pup a bath for a small fee so they come back to you looking and feeling great! I also have experience teaching basic commands to your dog, and would be more than happy to discuss training programs if that’s something you’re interested in! I also have experience with kittens and cats, having had 3 of my own. I'm comfortable with super friendly cats, or cats that want to keep to themselves. I will make sure your cat has food, water, and a clean litter box while you are away. In addition I can offer care for any gardens/houseplants that you have as well! While I work during the week, I am still committed to providing the best care for your pets. This will especially be true for pets that are use to having their people work during the day! This will provide a routine for your furry family member while you are away! While I live in an apartment, I am close to a park if your dog is friendly and enjoys going for walks! I am also very comfortable caring for cats and all that that entails while the cat stays in your home, usually where they are the most comfortable.

About: I’ve always been an animal person and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and reptiles, including my own ball python. I also have an Australian Shepherd who can be pretty anxious, so I’m used to being patient with nervous pets and helping them feel safe and comfortable. I’ve pet sat for both dogs and cats, including a cat with a more aggressive personality, so I understand the importance of respecting each animal’s boundaries and adapting to their individual needs. I love getting outside and taking walks, and I’m very familiar with the Richmond area. I also worked as a house cleaner for two years, so I’m comfortable being in clients’ homes and understand the importance of being respectful, trustworthy, and reliable. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe and happy while you’re away! I work about 20 hours a week as an esthetician and make my own schedule, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets. Because I set my own hours, I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. About: Call me Libby :) Dogs are my absolute passion in life! I was raised in a home with dogs and I’ve been a personal pet owner for over 10 years. I have experience raising and fostering puppies, seniors, and everything in between! I’ve had dogs in hospice care, with special needs, medical issues, etc. I have basic training skills and there are no stairs in my home in case your dog can’t use them. I have a large fenced in yard for play time or sunbathing in a safe and quiet neighborhood. They will be treated as if they are my own and loved on for every minute they are in my care! I run my own business so my work hours are flexible. I never leave the home for more than 4-5 hours at the absolute maximum. My 2 dogs and I go on evening walks everyday (after it’s cooled off in the summer time) and lots of outdoor time in between. My life revolves around my dogs needs so yours will fit in perfectly! I have a large fenced in yard and crates of different sizes if you need or want them to be crated. I have two friendly dogs so your baby will never be alone. My youngest dog will be a loving companion to your pet and make sure they feel like they’re at home. Whether that’s playing or napping, he will fall in love with them instantly!

About: Hi. I go by Kimmy! I think what sets me apart most is that I genuinely enjoy being around animals and I’m very comfortable handling both the fun and messy parts of pet care. I’m especially experienced with cats — I currently have three of my own, including two that I adopted as seniors and one kitten I raised from 8 weeks old. That’s given me experience with everything from energetic kittens to older cats that need extra patience, monitoring, and gentle care. I’m also comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’ve helped care for stubborn corgis, abandoned 5-month-old puppies, and pitbull mixes. When my boyfriend works long days, I regularly take his dogs out for walks up to six times a day because I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and making sure they get enough exercise and attention. I’m not squeamish or easily overwhelmed, so I’m comfortable handling things like accidents, litter boxes, hairballs, vomit, bath time, medications, minor wound care, and cleaning up after pets when they’re not feeling well. I pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy, and bathroom habits because I know those small details can matter. I try to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I currently take my boyfriend's two dogs out at 6 AM every morning, so any time after 7 AM and before 7 PM is ideal for drop ins, walks, feedings, etc. I try to keep pets as comfortable and stress-free as possible by sticking closely to their normal routine. I pay attention to feeding schedules, walks, litter box or potty habits, medications if needed, and making sure they’re getting enough attention, exercise, and affection while their owner is away. For cats, I’m very used to monitoring behavior, appetite, water intake, and litter box habits since I have three of my own, including two seniors. I know some cats need space at first while others want constant attention, so I adjust based on their personality and comfort level. I’m also comfortable handling things like hairballs, accidents, or cleaning up if they’re not feeling well. For dogs, I make sure they get plenty of exercise, bathroom breaks, and interaction throughout the day. I regularly help walk and care for my boyfriend’s dogs when he works long shifts, so I’m used to keeping up with high-energy dogs as well as more stubborn personalities. I’m comfortable with cleanup, bath time, minor wound care, and making sure pets feel safe, calm, and cared for in both my home and theirs. I make sure to update or ask permission from the owners if there are any deviations.

About: I have been fostering dogs and cats for about 7 years now and recently started working at Richmond Animal League as a dog care and enrichment specialist. Ranging from pairs of puppies to pit-bulls to litters of kittens to severely anxious dogs, I have taken care of them all. I understand that not all dogs are going to be the stereotypical dog, and I am prepared for any type of pet. I’m able to manage various behavioral and medical issues and provide basic assistance in these areas (oral medication, eye ointment, injections). I also train puppies - leash training, potty training, crate training, basic obedience, and basic tricks — and have worked with dog-reactive and anxious adult dogs. If you need me to help with training, I would be more than happy to help! Please keep in mind I am not a certified trainer. *for awareness: I work at my local shelter from 3pm-8pm on Thursdays and 8am-3pm on Saturdays. If you choose to book with me, please note that I will be away for these hours. *I have a 3 year old cat who loves dogs. If your baby loves cats & is respectful, please consider booking a stay with me. It would be great for them to meet and become friends! I just graduated from being student-athlete at Stanford and am now working hybrid in Richmond. I have no issue with waking up early and or staying up late to care for your loved pet. I am interested in dog sitting in your home and providing dog walks/drop-ins as needed! I can also do some boarding and day cares . I am working hybrid (3 days in office / week) so will need to know in advance if you'd like me to be working from home any weekdays. Other than that, I am perfectly fine adjusting to your pets schedule (wake up and bed time).

About: I am a certified veterinary assistant.I graduated from a vet science class where we perform animal care on the pets we have: bunnies, cats, guinea pigs, grooming dogs, etc. I used to work at Dogtopia so I know how to handle dogs. I will be available all day on weekdays so I can spend nights in the pets home for overnights if necessary . I work full time, so I will only be able to do weekend overnight bookings, but during the weekend I can be available all day to help you and your pet as much as needed!!! For daily drop ins, I will be able to check in before, during, and after working hours due to my flexible working schedule :-) I will respect all of the rules and jobs that the owner of the pet would give to me!!!
