“Jeannette is amazing! My dog and cat are my entire world and she took great care of them and sent the most amazing photo and video updates. Jeanette is great at communication and at what she does. You can tell she cares and enjoys it. Ill be a repeat client for sure.”

“Lukis was a literal godsend!! I got photo updates during the visit, which I loved, and my cat was so appreciative of the food and attention 😄 I will 1000% be booking with Lukis again, and I highly encourage anyone who needs a pet sitter in this general area to do so as well!! (Side note, if you have a cat that isn’t super friendly, my cat Honey is very particular about new people and strangers and she was completely fine with Lukis—so she also gives the official Stamp of Approval™️).”

“Repeat! Once again, Lauren was fantastic and attentive - making sure to spend quality time with our cat and sending us pictures of their time together. It was clear that our cat was well-cared for during our time away which is a great relief to us!”

“MK is absolutely wonderful. She is so kind to my little cat and her schedule is flexible. I really appreciate every time she is available for bliss . Thank you.”

About: Hi there! I've always had a soft spot for animals. Growing up, there were always multiple cats in the house, and when I was 16, my family adopted our first dog, who quickly became part of the family. Over the past five years, I’ve regularly pet sat for friends and roommates, caring for both dogs and cats for everything from quick weekend trips to extended stays up to three weeks. I’m experienced with a variety of pet needs, including administering medications, brushing teeth, and providing gentle, specialized care tailored to each animal’s routine and personality. I also recently adopted an adult cat who is the absolute love of my life, so I fully understand how much trust it takes to leave your furry companion in someone else’s hands. I promise to treat your pet with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I work from home from 12 to 4 PM. This leaves me open for morning and evening visits and walks! I am also completely open on weekends. I’m totally used to quirky and detailed feeding routines, so whether your pet’s a grazer or needs a whole production at mealtime, I’ve got it covered. I’m happy to feed, brush, cuddle, and keep them company. For dogs, I’ll make sure they get potty breaks, walks, some fetch if they’re up for it, or just a buddy to hang with so they don’t feel lonely. Every pet’s different, and I’m always happy to go with their flow.
“Angelica was absolutely wonderful with my cat Leo while I was away! She took excellent care of him and sent me the best pictures, and I had peace of mind regarding my cat the entire time I was away. She is fantastic and I highly recommend!”

“Hanan took amazing care of Frankie. It was comforting and sweet to see how Frankie warmed up more and more throughout the check-ins. We couldn’t have asked for a better dogsitter. ❤️”

“It's always a pleasure to have Ariel looking after our cats. She's very attentive to details and always gives thorough updates (and great pictures!) on everything. I can actually relax on vacation, knowing that she's got everything taken care of. We always come home to happy kitties! Thank you Ariel!”

“Caitie was excellent. She provided me with excellent updates with a photo on how my little poodle was doing as she completed her visits. She was very thoughtful with getting to know my little dog, who is cautious around new people. I will be having Caitie back next month!”

“Chelsea was absolutely amazing! She was very responsive, caring and her personality is wonderful! Our cat, Buddy loved her! He has a special diet and needs oral medication and she has no problem making sure he was comfortable and taken care of! We could enjoy our vacation knowing our baby was happy at home!”

About: I have 5 pets, 3 dogs and 2 cats! Having so many pets has taught me the skills needed to take good care of them! I am a college student looking for summer jobs, so I am very flexible. I should be available most weekdays, but definitely on weekends this summer. I have a fenced yard. My dogs are always indoors unless they have to go to the bathroom or want to play outside, so I watch out for them a lot. My cats are always indoors, but I am always aware of where they are to take good care of them.
“Heather is great! She kept the kitty happy and healthy while I was out of town, and I appreciated the photos and great communication. I am literally about to send her another booking request right after I post this review. Thank you!”

About: With years of devoted experience in dog care, I've nurtured countless canine companions, both my own and those of family and friends. Whether it's strolls in the park or cuddles on the couch, I love making a dog's day! I'm detail-oriented and am capable of adhering to specific medication schedules and dietary requirements. From puppies to seniors, I have the expertise to cater to dogs of all ages with affection and care. My schedule is flexible and I can walk your dog in the mornings, afternoon, and evenings. As long as there is daylight there shouldn't be any problems! I can not currently care for any pets in my home since I live in an apartment but I can follow any instructions you give on taking care of your pets within your home.
About: I am a medical student who loves to play and care for animals. I have been caring for all types of animals for the past 10 years, including but not limited to dogs, cats, bunnies, fish, hedgehogs, etc. I have personal experience caring and training my dog who was diagnosed with glaucoma which caused her to become blind in one eye. This means that I have to administer eye drops into her eye every night. I have trained her to go to her bed and sit patiently to allow me to input her eye drops peacefully in an exchange for a treat. In high school I also helped train puppies to become guide dogs for the blind. I am able to care for wild and rambunctious dogs to relaxed and care-free dogs. With these special skills and personal experiences, I will be able to ensure that your dog is cared for as if they are my own. I understand that dogs are a huge part of your family and will do my best to make sure they are treated with love. As a full time student, I have flexibility in my schedule to fit in pet care into my weekly routine. I like to implement breaks into my study schedule and what good way to rest than playing/caring for animals! While I am unable to board / care for animals in my own home, I will be able to go to the pets home and care for them there. I can do house visits to feed or care for them in the home or take them out for walks around your neighborhood.

About: I worked an animal shelter for about a year and half. I learned a lot from that experience, such as dog and cats diets, their body language, and how to administer medications if needed. I have also owned dogs most of my life and believe them to be such loyal companions. I am currently free most of the mornings as well as afternoons. I am mostly flexible as long as I’m told with enough time to make sure I have all the time your pets need! My pets at home are very spoiled, so I plan to do the same for your pets. I have a park nearby my house as well as I am not far from Belle Isle. So if your dog loves walking, I will make sure they get all the enrichment they need. If your pets were ever to stay at my house my dogs and cats are dog friendly. I am also more than willing to take care of your pets in your home if that’s what makes them most comfortable. I am all about making sure your pet feels safe and happy in whichever environment suits them best!
About: I grew up with three big dogs as members of my family. But since these days I don’t live with any dogs of my own, your dog gets to be the star of the show while they stay with me. I joined Rover because I love spending time with dogs and want to help give your pet a vacation while you're on yours. That means your dog gets to stay in a fun, comfortable environment while you're out of the house, and have someone to play with them, let them out when they need, and take them on nice long walks. All dogs are different and have different needs, and I am prepared to follow any special care directions to make sure your dog is comfortable and happy while you're gone. Because I work part time, my schedule is flexible, and I'm happy to chat about any questions you might have. Ask me anything you'd like to know! I also have experience looking after cats. I work part time, so the longest your dog will be unattended is 6.5 hours (but many work days are shorter than that, and I am completely free on weekends). I am happy to accommodate any of you or your pet’s needs to make their stay comfortable and as close to their regular routine as possible. I appreciate doing Meet and Greets before a stay to find out if we’re a good fit for each other.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Southwest Detroit
Azariah was very communicative and it’s very obvious that she cares for animals. She followed all instructions to care for my two kitties. I got plenty of pictures and sweet little messages about how they interacted with her and it was nice that even my shyest cat came out when she would come over. I’ll absolutely book with Azariah again.

Preti was great with our cat Nebula. She came by our place before hand and asked questions while getting to know our girl a little bit. She filled out Rover Cards with detail and let me know if something unexpected happened. Overall she was a great sitter. Will be looking to book again.

Really on top of everything, making sure she knows where everything is and the cats’ general routine before arriving, even made sure to double check with me when they got overexcited for their food. My usually shy cats warmed up to her quickly, and judging by the pictures had a great time, I’ll definitely be hiring Eleanor again when I go away.
