About: Passionate animal lover with professional pet care experience since 2018. Over the years, I've worked in veterinary clinics, grooming salons as an assistant bather, and in dog daycare settings, giving me experience with pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. I'm comfortable with caring for multiple pets at once, administering medications, sticking to an organized walking/feeding schedule, and providing individualized attention to each pet's unique needs. Whether your pet loves playtime, cuddles, long walks, or simply a calm and reassuring presence, I'm committed to making them feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, so I make communication a priority. You'll receive regular updates and plenty of adorable photos that capture the best side of your pet's personality and daily adventures. I treat every pet as if they were my own and look forward to providing dependable, compassionate care for your beloved companions I provide pet care full-time, which allows me to have a very flexible schedule and dedicate plenty of attention to the pets in my care. Because this is my main focus, I am available for daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday bookings. I can accommodate a variety of schedules and am committed to ensuring pets receive consistent care, exercise, companionship, and supervision. I live in a pet friendly community in Midtown. The area includes designated pet relief stations with waste bags readily available, making it easy to keep the environment clean and comfortable. Im only a five-minute walk from a local dog park where dogs can enjoy additional activity and socialization, with owner permission. I prioritize safety at all times by keeping pets supervised, following their regular routines, and ensuring they have a clean, secure, and welcoming environment while in my care
“I can't say enough good things about Maciyah! She took care of my dog Vader and did an absolutely amazing job. From the moment I booked her, her communication was top-notch. She kept me updated throughout the entire stay, sending plenty of pictures and videos. Maciyah’s genuine love for dogs really stood out. I felt completely at ease knowing Vader was in her hands. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. I will definitely be booking her again.”
“Randi made herself available on short notice, for 2 meetups which we requested. She was patient getting to know our rescue pup, prior to her house sitting while we went out of town. Our pup can be high energy, and also requires walks daily. Randi handled our pup well, giving her lots of attention and even extra sniffy walks beyond what we requested 💜 She seems to truly love animals and we would recommend her!”

“Bre was absolutely amazing and exceeded all of our expectations. She is extremely professional, kind, and one of the best communicators we’ve ever worked with. She sent daily updates and photos and always kept us informed about how both our dog and kitty were doing, which gave us total peace of mind during our trip. She house sat for us and took incredible care of our home by keeping it very clean, bringing in our mail, and even leaving us the sweetest welcome home candies. Our dog Nova absolutely loved her, and it was clear she felt safe, happy, and well cared for the entire time. Bre even brought her sweet pup Ivy over, which Nova loved having as a friend to play with. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and highly recommend Bre to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and thoughtful. We will definitely be booking with her again for future trips.”

“Karley did an amazing job taking care of my three greyhounds on short notice. It shows she really loves animals; she was both very reliable and very caring for my dogs. Highly recommend!”

“Heather is an angel in every sense of the word. She is the type of person that restores confidence that there is still kindness and good nature in our world. I received some of the cutest photos of my 11 year old pit bull in complete peace while she was caring for him in our home. She went well above and beyond to care for him, getting extra treats from the store when we ran out and just really being there with him the way I would have if I had been home. I had the most stress free time away with my family because I knew Floyd was in good hands from the moment we did the meet and greet. The house was sincerely spotless when I came home too. I cannot cannot recommend Heather enough!!”
About: Hi, we're both animal lovers who grew up with great pups! Theresa grew up with golden retrievers (Magellan and Rowan) and A.K. grew up with an Old English Sheepdog (Seymour). We both have experience with dogs from puppy to senior. Growing up, A.K. also dogsat for multiple families in his neighborhood. Theresa is a runner and would love to (with your permission) take your dog for a fun walk, jog, or adventure to the dog park. If your pup is more of a couch potato, A.K. will be their best friend. Our friends and family have lots of dogs so we're comfortable and familiar interacting with various breeds of dogs (Pugs, Poodles, Shiba Inus, German Shepherds, Bernedoodles just to name a few). **We require a 2 night minimum for bookings besides for repeat clients** We both have some flexibility to work from home and are organized, diligent, and honest. Due to the nature of our careers and just having built a house we know how key customer service, safety, and communication are and we're always available by phone, email, text, app, etc. Our home is close to Midtown and Downtown Detroit and we designed it with our future dog(s) in mind! We have a dog wash in our mud room, a fenced in back/side yard, and a dedicated lit, sleeping/crate space on the 1st floor under the stairs (kinda like Harry Potter!) Our home has central air and all flooring is tile so any fluffy dogs will stay cool during the warmer months.
“Lauren took fantastic care of our young dog! She was gentle and patient with him, since he can be a little nervous with new people. She was attentive and communicative throughout the stay, and shared lots of pictures and videos.”

“Sylvie did a phenomenal job caring for our anxious, shy/fearful pup last minute! She was able to accommodate 2 meet and greets which made our pup comfortable ahead of her stay. Sylvie asked thoughtful questions about his behavior and care requirements and listened to all of our nervous parent requests. She has a calming demeanor which really helped with our nervous guy. Sylvie had no problems administering medication, was sure to send updates throughout the stay, and was very communicative about everything. We feel so lucky to have found her!”
“Superb sitter that provides excellent communication and updates throughout the stay. We received many pictures throughout the day. During our first meeting we felt more than comfortable leaving our sweet girl to her care. Ashley is the best sitter we have ever used. We will be planning our vacations around Ashley’s availability as we will never use anyone else. ❤️”
“Angelica did an excellent job caring for my dog. She took the time to meet him twice before I left, to ensure it would be a good fit. During the sit she communicated consistently with texts, photos, and videos. I will definitely be booking her again!”

“Zaria was such a gift! She went above and beyond caring for our three cats—two of whom are on medication—with so much love and attentiveness. The house was spotless when we got home, and the cats were relaxed, happy, and somehow getting along even better than before we left. She’s kind, reliable, and just a joy to work with. We honestly can’t recommend her enough!”

About: I've had animals in my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with both dogs and cats as well as smaller pets like hamsters and fish, so caring for animals has always felt second nature to me. I currently live with three cats and am very comfortable with feline routines, personalities and special needs. I also have experience with small and large dogs; from growing up with a Chihuahua to caring for an American Bulldog, so I understand how different sizes and temperaments require different approaches. I am attentive, patient, and always focused on making pets feel safe, comfortable and cared for while you're away. I currently work Tuesday-Saturday in the afternoons (typically from 3:30pm-8pm with the occasional later nights). I am available in the mornings for check-ins, quality time, play time, feedings, and walks and I'm happy to help pets start their day calmly and on a schedule. I communicate clearly if my evening availability changes and always prioritize routines and consistency for the pets in my care. Safety, trust and comfort are my top priorities. I provide care in your home so pets can stay in a familiar environment, keeping their routines consistent and minimizing stress. I follow all feeding, walking and care instructions closely, maintain a clean and calm space, and pay attention to details to ensure your pets safety and well-being. My goal is to make both you and you pet confident and relaxed while you're away.

About: I have had a passion for pet care since the age of eleven when I created a pet walking and boarding business within my neighborhood. This business gave me access to assist more pet care opportunities and cultivated a deep compassion for the well-being of the animals in my care. Since then, I have pet sat and walked over 50 dogs and 10 cats, many who are returning clients. I have had the privilege to care for a wide range of small and large breeds of dogs, puppies, kittens, and senior pets. I can confidently assist with pets who have medical conditions and am excited to learn how to best serve your pet and you. Some of the services I have provided to other clients include: walks, engaged play, long term care, specified preparation of food, administering oral and topical medications, transportation, vet trips, grooming, and bathing. I am more than happy to adjust my skills in whatever way will maintain your pet's happiness and your peace of mind. As an anxious pet parent, I enjoy sending updates, pictures, and videos to mitigate any worries you may have while away from your pet. I have a hybrid work schedule and will work with your schedule to prioritize your pet and their unique needs. I greatly appreciate notice with changes to walks/visits but work well with adjustments. I have limited availability for boarding at my home currently. For animals that do come to my house, I spend time beforehand pet proofing to ensure a safe stay. In your home, I do ask instructions are left on how to maintain your space to your preference so there are no disturbances when you return. I can work with whatever parameters you have, especially in regards to entering/exiting the home and shared spaces. Walking safety is important to me and I won't leave the house without a collar and appropriate leash, poop bags, and water if necessary. When it comes to letting pets out in fenced yards, I keep an eye on them to ensure they don't eat anything they shouldn't and that their environment remains safe. Unless specified, your pets will not interact with other animals to keep reactivity levels low and to lessen any stress.
Southwest Detroit pet parents share their Rover experiences
Angelica was wonderful and we’d happily work with her again and recommend to others! She was communicative, came a day before our trip to meet the dogs and learn their routine. She wasn’t phased by our pup with glaucoma who requires 4 different eye drops multiple times a day or our other pup who is very high energy. She even sent photo updates which we loved! We really lucked out working with her last minute when our other plans fell through and hope to work with her again! Five stars!

Jessica did a wonderful job taking care of our two cats. I was worried about my male cat taking his medication from someone else because he is so skittish of new people. Jessica got him comfortable right away so he did not miss a dose. She followed instructions for their care very well and was very communicative with us. She also sent lots of picture updates, which we appreciated so much! We would 100% hire her again.

Thank you Katherine! I felt totally confident leaving my babies in her care! She was great at communicating, letting me know how they were doing and sending pictures. Highly recommend and I will definitely be contacting her again next time I have a trip planned.

Olivia was great! One of my pets is extremely anxious but she still took care of him and he seemed to warm up to her. We had sick pets and she took care of them. I was a little worried bc as much as I love my pets, I know they are not easy to take care of so the fact that Olivia and my babies got along tells me how great she is.
