“Cole is awesome with our dog—whether in our neighborhood or out on the trails. He understands dogs really well, is responsible and prompt, and sends good updates. Would highly recommend him for walking and taking great care of your dog.”

“We are sooooooooo happy we found Sarah! She loves our London like she’s her own. I totally trust her and appreciate all her help. Plus, Sarah takes extremely nice photos of my animals.”
“Maddie was super flexible and took my dog, sage on a very long walk. I could tell sage was comfortable with Maddie and she got a lot of energy out on their walk. Maddie arrived on time and was prepared, would book again in the future!”

About: Your pet will be SO loved. Im very in tune with meeting animals where they are at energetically and socially and have so much fun getting to know their unique personalities. I work mostly from home Monday thru Friday. I usually need to go in person an average of about 3 to 4 hours daily between the hours of 12pm-5pm but can still pop in for additional checks and care during that time. I love going for walks, hikes, and the dog park and your bestie can ride in my car. And besides that my nights and weekend are completely free! I have a cozy 1 bedroom apartment and no pets. My space works best for small to medium dogs, but I can (and would LOVE) to host larger dogs if they’re more compact in size (like bulldogs). I am home a lot with remote work or can work from your home! There are 2 dog parks near me- one is 5 minute and the other is 3 minute drive or about a 10 minute walk uphill. I would definitely be available in person to give your pets company and love for most of the day and all night.
About: I have had pets my whole life- I grew up with cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, and even llamas! I understand that all pets have different needs. I can be there for you when you can't, and will make sure your pet is cared for like my own. I love dogs and other pets too! I currently have 2 cats and want to make all cats my friend (even though they have their own thoughts on this!). I had a Frenchie for 10 amazing years, and grew up with Labs. I have a flexible schedule and am available most times. I can be available for pet routines or drop in visit, morning, mid day or afternoon/evening. I can come to you- in home visits, or dog walking. I am central to Eugene and have a reliable car for visits. I can visit mornings or afternoons.
“Hayden was amazing with our dogs. One is a very big and crazy 1 yr old that can sometimes be a lot to handle and she did it with ease. We will definitely be using Hayden again!”

“Robert was a joy to work with! He was very kind and attentive to everything, setting up a meet and greet prior and giving the walk a small test, while listening to my lengthy info about my pup 😂 He also sent descriptive updates with pictures! I will definitely be rebooking Robert in the future. Thank you, Robert!”

About: I am lucky enough to have lived every single day of my life with pets of some variety–dogs, cats, hamsters, and betta fish, primarily. Some were family pets, but most have been my own. I was seven years old when my parents allowed me my first pet of my very own (Fluffernutter, a brown-and-white banded Syrian hamster), and I still remember spending months poring over library books and researching everything I could about hamster care before bringing her home. Currently, I have one cat (Sushi, light of my life), but she’s only an only child because I don’t yet have the financial means to be the maniacal menagerist of my dreams. Meeting and loving and taking care of animals has always been the brightest part of my life; I genuinely cannot imagine a life without them, and I hope I never have to. Although this is my first time formally offering pet-sitting services, I’ve been caring for others’ pets for years, starting around age twelve. I’ve pet-sat for friends and neighbors, taking care of their dogs, cats, horses, and fish. My responsibilities have included everything from feeding and administering medication (when needed) to walks, cleanup, and making sure each pet gets plenty of attention and companionship. While most of my experience is with dogs, cats, horses, and fish, I love animals of all kinds and would be happy to care for most any critter. I spent approximately a year as a Pet Care Specialist at PetSmart, where my primary responsibilities included caring for the store’s fish and reptiles. It was a job I absolutely loved, and I still miss all of the little critters I looked after. I’ve also had a few hamsters over the years, and a close friend of mine had mice, rats, and snakes, all of which I spent a fair amount of time interacting with. Even when I don’t have experience with a specific animal, I always take the time to research their needs and follow all care instructions closely to ensure they’re well looked-after. When it comes to reptiles, I’m comfortable with general care, though I’m not able to provide feeder animals larger than insects. When it comes to dogs specifically, I have the most experience with medium and large pups and am comfortable caring for dogs of most sizes. However, I am not able to sit for any giant breeds. While I love them dearly (and have spent a great deal of time around Newfoundlands in particular), I want to ensure I can safely and confidently handle any situation that may arise. One of my favorite parts of pet-sitting is getting to know each animal as an individual. Every pet has their own personality, preferences, and quirks, and I make it a priority to learn those so I can care for them beyond just the basics. Whether it’s discovering their favorite toy, their ideal walking pace, their go-to nap spot, or how they like to be social (full cuddle mode or quiet companionship), I want your pet to feel understood and comfortable. I also have experience caring for shy and anxious pets. I understand that building trust can take time, patience, and consistency, and I’m more than happy to meet animals at their pace. Even confident pets can feel unsettled when their person is away, so creating a calm, safe, and reassuring environment is always a top priority for me. Above all, I treat every pet in my care the way I treat my own—with attentiveness, respect, and a lot of love. My goal is not just to meet your pet’s physical needs, but to make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I know how important that peace of mind is, and I’d love to provide that for you. A quick snapshot of my care style: • Experienced with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, fish, and small pets • Patient and gentle with shy or anxious pets • Take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and preferences • Attentive, detail-oriented, and happy to follow specific routines and care instructions • Always willing to learn and provide thoughtful care for new types of pets • Not able to sit for giant dog breeds • For reptiles, comfortable with general care but unable to provide feeder animals larger than insects Pet care is currently my primary focus, so I’m able to give your pets plenty of time, attention, and consistency throughout the day. I’m available most days of the week, with the exception of Wednesdays before 10:30am, and I’m always happy to work with your pet’s specific schedule and routine. Whether I’m house-sitting or just stopping by to check on your fur babies, my primary focus is keeping your pets’ routine as consistent as possible to help reduce stress. I follow all care instructions closely, monitor pets for any changes in behavior or health, and ensure their environment remains clean and safe. I’m always conscious and respectful of your home, treating it with the same care and consideration I would my own, and ensuring it’s securely locked when I come and go.
“Karina has done an amazing job with my dogs. She was very efficient in all of her work. She is a great communicator, making sure that she can gather all the information needed to care for Ivy and Charles. She also communicated with me and even sent photos of each time she came over to walk the dogs. She spent much time with each pet, making sure that they had all of their needs met and also giving each one love and attention. I highly recommend her to care for and walk other pets. I will definitely be booking more walks in the near future. Thank you Karina ?. - Jessica, Ivy & Charles”

“AJ is amazing, I really trust her with my home and my dog Milo. She’s always very flexible and knows what she’s doing. I truly feel like my dog is taken care of when he’s with her. 10/10 recommend and will also be using her consistently”

About: I have been taking care of family and friends furry animals since I was about 14 years old. I enjoy nature and going on hike and walks so I would be perfect for taking your energetic fur babies out for walks and just to get some nice fresh air. Im currently a student at the University of Oregon and pet care would fit perfectly into my daily routine because I don't take early morning classes, have long enough breaks to take your pets on walks during the day and don't take classes at night so I would be able to take your pet out for walks at night before or while it gets dark. I have a dog at my home in California and when I am home I enjoy taking her out for walks around our neighborhood and to our local park, I let her outside in our fenced off backyard every 2-3 hours and give her lots of treats.
About: I have been looking after pets for family friends for about 5 years now. It’s always a joy to work (and play!) with animals knowing that I’m providing owners peace of mind. I’m thoroughly committed to ensuring that your pets get the time and care that they need. I also am happy to work with households with a lot of pets - I’ve had experience working with a family with 5 pets under one roof! My current job is mostly work-from-home, so I’m pretty flexible when it comes to the bookings I can take on. If there’s anything that could be a scheduling conflict I’ll be sure and let you know. When I work with a client and their pets, I always ensure that I am working within the guidelines that the client has put forth. I take the safety of pets extremely seriously, and promise to take care of them as well as I can.
“Jules is very kind and was receptive to all of the little specificities I include in our walks. Jules seemed comfortable with my little dude right off the bat, and they had such a fun walk! By the time they got back, Hog was giddy about Jules. He’s very fond of his new friend! Also a huge plus, little mans was so happy with his walk he napped for like half an hour on the floor next to his bed 😂 Hog and I will be making walks with Jules a regular thing, and we’d highly recommend that you do too!”

About: Throughout my life, I have lovingly cared for cats, dogs, and even birds. I deeply appreciate the significance of open communication and empathy between the caregiver, pet parent, and their beloved four-legged companions. I’m currently a professional ballet dancer with Ballet Fantastique and also teach Lagree, both of which allow my schedule to be very flexible. This gives me the availability to be reliable and attentive when caring for your pets. I’m active, detail-oriented, and used to maintaining routines, so I’ll make sure your pets receive plenty of care, consistency, and love while you’re away. I'm sorry, but I don't offer services within my home. Instead, I'll make sure to take care of your pets in the familiarity of their own home, ensuring they have everything they need, including food, water, any necessary medication, walks, and plenty of love and attention.

“Kristine is a lifesaver and came through practically the day before we even knew we needed her service. I would recommend her to anybody and everybody and will be using her again probably in the near future.”
About: I grew up with dogs and cats my whole life, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I know how much your pet means to you, and I treat every animal I sit for like one of my own. I have hands-on experience with both dogs and cats of all personalities — whether they're energetic and need a lot of playtime or shy and just want some quiet company. I love getting on the floor and actually playing with them, not just watching from across the room. What sets me apart is that I bring the same attentiveness and warmth to pet care that I do to working with kids. I'm active, outdoorsy, and happy to take dogs on long walks. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life. I work a part-time remote internship, which means I'm home a lot and have genuine flexibility throughout the day, no rushing in and out between a packed schedule. Whether it's a drop-in visit, a dog walk, or an overnight stay, I can give pets the time and attention they actually deserve rather than squeezing them in as an afterthought. Being active myself means dog walks are something I look forward to, not just check off a list. Pet care isn't a side hustle I picked up randomly, it’s something I've been doing since I was a kid sitting for neighbors' cats, and it fits who I am. I love for animals to be a part of my daily routine whether I'm working or not. Whether I'm caring for a pet in my home or yours, my approach is the same: calm, attentive, and consistent. In your home, I follow your pet's existing routine as closely as possible. I know that familiar surroundings make a big difference, especially for cats or anxious pets, so I keep things predictable and low-stress. I treat your space with respect and make sure your pet feels secure and settled the whole time. In my home, pets get a quiet, relaxed environment with some great perks, I have a front lawn and live right next to a park, so dogs get plenty of outdoor time and a great spot for a game of fetch. I work remotely, so I'm present throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. I'm careful about introductions and always make sure any pet in my care has their own space to decompress if they need it. In both settings, I stay in close communication with owners, sending updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. I take emergencies seriously, and will never hesitate to reach out if something feels off. Your pet's safety and comfort is always the priority.
About: Hello! My name is Kenneth but I prefer to go by my middle name of Stephen. I am an experienced dog owner who has grown up with dogs and other animals all my life. My work is thorough, caring, and will leave a positive impression on your pet. I grew up surrounded by large and small dogs, each with their own personalities and experiences that I can bring to you. I have reliable transportation and pride myself on being on time. I am a believer in positive reinforcement training and will strengthen the already good habits of your pet. You can put your trust in me to care for your pet and home just as I do my own. Thank you for your time and consideration. I’m currently using Rover to bridge the gap between full time positions. So for the time being I am available as long as I’m not watching another animal. I currently live with three dogs and have plenty of experience keeping animals safe and secure within a home. I understand what animals need and what to lookout for to keep them safe.
Southeast dog parents share their Rover experiences
Jules did a great job of communicating throughout the process. I was really happy with their ability to understand the needs of a more nervous dog - very good at reading dog body language and adapting as needed. Daphne got a fantastic walk and I came home to a happy and calm pup. I hope our schedules align and we can book again!

Finding Nathan to walk Angus while I recuperate from ankle surgery has been an absolute pleasure! Angus adores Nathan—looks forward to his arrivals—and comes home absolutely delighted and well exercised after every adventure. Nathan doesn't just walk my dog—he educates him (well me really)! As a naturalist he takes him on sensory-rich adventures, noting the local wildlife and flora. And when I was non-weight bearing recuperating after surgery Nathan reported back to me their findings so that I could experience their outings vicariously. Nathan is clearly a dog lover and experienced handler you can trust.

Alexis is a fantastic walker and dog sitter. She has walked my dog for the last two years. I have a 50lbs deaf dog. So she needs a little more attention. Alexis has always been amazing with her, and I can tell Stormy absolutely adores her! I highly recommend Alexis!
