About: I have had pets my whole life- I grew up with cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, and even llamas! I understand that all pets have different needs. I can be there for you when you can't, and will make sure your pet is cared for like my own. I love dogs and other pets too! I currently have 2 cats and want to make all cats my friend (even though they have their own thoughts on this!). I had a Frenchie for 10 amazing years, and grew up with Labs. I have a flexible schedule and am available most times. I can be available for pet routines or drop in visit, morning, mid day or afternoon/evening. I can come to you- in home visits, or dog walking. I am central to Eugene and have a reliable car for visits. I can visit mornings or afternoons.

About: I am lucky enough to have lived every single day of my life with pets of some variety–dogs, cats, hamsters, and betta fish, primarily. Some were family pets, but most have been my own. I was seven years old when my parents allowed me my first pet of my very own (Fluffernutter, a brown-and-white banded Syrian hamster), and I still remember spending months poring over library books and researching everything I could about hamster care before bringing her home. Currently, I have one cat (Sushi, light of my life), but she’s only an only child because I don’t yet have the financial means to be the maniacal menagerist of my dreams. Meeting and loving and taking care of animals has always been the brightest part of my life; I genuinely cannot imagine a life without them, and I hope I never have to. Although this is my first time formally offering pet-sitting services, I’ve been caring for others’ pets for years, starting around age twelve. I’ve pet-sat for friends and neighbors, taking care of their dogs, cats, horses, and fish. My responsibilities have included everything from feeding and administering medication (when needed) to walks, cleanup, and making sure each pet gets plenty of attention and companionship. While most of my experience is with dogs, cats, horses, and fish, I love animals of all kinds and would be happy to care for most any critter. I spent approximately a year as a Pet Care Specialist at PetSmart, where my primary responsibilities included caring for the store’s fish and reptiles. It was a job I absolutely loved, and I still miss all of the little critters I looked after. I’ve also had a few hamsters over the years, and a close friend of mine had mice, rats, and snakes, all of which I spent a fair amount of time interacting with. Even when I don’t have experience with a specific animal, I always take the time to research their needs and follow all care instructions closely to ensure they’re well looked-after. When it comes to reptiles, I’m comfortable with general care, though I’m not able to provide feeder animals larger than insects. When it comes to dogs specifically, I have the most experience with medium and large pups and am comfortable caring for dogs of most sizes. However, I am not able to sit for any giant breeds. While I love them dearly (and have spent a great deal of time around Newfoundlands in particular), I want to ensure I can safely and confidently handle any situation that may arise. One of my favorite parts of pet-sitting is getting to know each animal as an individual. Every pet has their own personality, preferences, and quirks, and I make it a priority to learn those so I can care for them beyond just the basics. Whether it’s discovering their favorite toy, their ideal walking pace, their go-to nap spot, or how they like to be social (full cuddle mode or quiet companionship), I want your pet to feel understood and comfortable. I also have experience caring for shy and anxious pets. I understand that building trust can take time, patience, and consistency, and I’m more than happy to meet animals at their pace. Even confident pets can feel unsettled when their person is away, so creating a calm, safe, and reassuring environment is always a top priority for me. Above all, I treat every pet in my care the way I treat my own—with attentiveness, respect, and a lot of love. My goal is not just to meet your pet’s physical needs, but to make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I know how important that peace of mind is, and I’d love to provide that for you. I’m available most days of the week, with the exception of Wednesdays before 10:30am, and I’m always happy to work with your pet’s specific schedule and routine. Whether I’m house-sitting or just stopping by to check on your fur babies, my primary focus is keeping your pets’ routine as consistent as possible to help reduce stress. I follow all care instructions closely, monitor pets for any changes in behavior or health, and ensure their environment remains clean and safe. I’m always conscious and respectful of your home, treating it with the same care and consideration I would my own, and ensuring it’s securely locked when I come and go.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for as long as I can remember, having grown up with family dogs, having dogs of my own, and helping care for pets belonging to friends and neighbors. Over the years I’ve looked after dogs of all sizes and personalities, from small energetic pups to large, gentle giants and everything in between. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, administering medication, and providing lots and lots of attention and affection. At home, I have both a dog and cat, so my nights are usually spent being a pillow for a chubby cat or a pushy shiba (sometimes both at the same time), which means I’m never off schedule! I’m a college senior taking asynchronous classes and working part-time in security roles, which allows for a very open schedule. Whether your pup loves long walks, playing fetch, exploring the neighborhood, or simply curling on the couch for some company, I'm happy to tailor my care to their individual needs and routine. I’ve always loved being around animals, and caring for pets lets me share that love while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for like family. As mentioned above, pet care fits really well into my routine because I’m taking asynchronous classes and have a limited part time schedule! Since I can do coursework from anywhere, I'm happy to work from your home while caring for your dog. That means they can have company throughout the day instead of being left alone for long stretches. I naturally build walks, outdoor time, and movement into my day, so taking a dog out for fresh air, exercise is something | genuinely enjoy!. Whether your dog is high energy and loves adventure or prefers a slower pace and lots of cuddles, I'm happy to adapt to the routine and make sure they feel comfortable safe and loved while you're away! When caring for pets in your home, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent as possible so they feel secure while you’re gone. I’ll follow any instructions you provide on feeding, walks, medications, house rules, and favorite routines. Safety is always my top priority, and I pay close attention to details that matter. I am educated on and have handled pet emergencies swiftly; I know who to call, and don't waste any time when there's a concern. If you have a barrel-chested dog, it’ll get a small, controlled amount of water after coming in from the heat so it doesn’t catch bloat. If you have an escape artist kitty, it’ll always be in my arms or in another room when the door is open. I’m also mindful of things like hot pavement, crowded areas, and anything else that could make a pet uncomfortable or unsafe. I understand that trusting someone with both your pet and your home is a big deal. I’ll treat your space with the same respect I’d give my own, keep you updated with photos and messages, and make sure your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. I also own a high-quality digital camera and love sending free, high-quality photos to update you on how they’re doing, silly phone pics included!

About: I have had family dogs for my whole life, and taken care of dogs since I was very young of all sizes. As I see dogs as family, I always treat them with respect and kindness. I am currently doing online summer classes at the UO and have no other obligations, so I’m free most days of the week to provide quality pet care! When pet sitting for others I make sure to keep your space as close to how you left it as possible, respecting your home as well as your pet.

About: I've always grown up around animals, so caring for them has just always been a part of my life. I honestly can't remember a time when we didn't have dogs at home, and over the years I've also helped friends, neighbors, and family members care for their pets whenever they were out of town or needed an extra hand. I'll always do my best to work around your pet's routine so they feel comfortable and cared for while you're away. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away by sticking as closely as possible to the routine they're used to. Whether that's feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, or simply giving them extra attention, I'm happy to follow whatever works best for them. Your pet's safety and happiness will always be my top priority. Before caring for your pet, I like to learn about their routine, personality, favorite activities, and any special instructions so I can make their experience as comfortable and stress free as possible. I'm also a big believer in communication, so you can expect regular updates and plenty of photos while you're away. I know how reassuring it is to see your pet happy and doing well.
