I didn't doubt for a second that Josh could handle Ziggy's antics and his strength on the leash. Josh sent daily updates and pictures of Ziggy out on walks and snuggling with him on the couch. About: As a long time pet lover, I began caring for dogs in my neighborhood and volunteering at the local animal shelter at the age of 12. I went on to work for a local petsitting company as a house sitter and dog walker while I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I am a skilled dog trainer currently offering training services in the Eugene/Springfield area. My dog training career started when I completed an internship with a local dog trainer in high school and since then I have continued to expand my knowledge of dog behavior through training experience, research, interviews with trainers, and online courses. I utilize gentle training techniques that reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in dogs and promote relaxation and confidence. I never engage in harsh training methods such as prong collars, shock collars, dominance, or physical force; my techniques are based only on positive reinforcement and trust. I specialize in training dogs with separation anxiety so if your dog suffers from this, they will be in good hands and they will never be left alone for long periods. Before joining Rover, I was already providing dog boarding and daycare to my existing training clients. I have experience with a variety of senior dogs and I am able to administer any medications your dog requires. I also offer daily teeth brushing if this is part of your dog's routine. You can rest assured that whatever your pet's needs are, they will be met while they are under my care. I am also an independently insured petsitter with Pet Care Insurance which covers accidents or injuries and provides that extra peace of mind. I am out of town March 4-16. I will still be accepting bookings for March 17th onwards however I will be unable to do an in person meet and greet until March 17th. Petsitting and dog training is my full-time job and my husband works from home, so there is usually always someone home with the dogs. I provide walks, drop-ins, boarding and daycare 7-days a week and your dog’s health and happiness is my sole responsibility allowing me to be attentive to your dog's needs throughout the day. My home is an ideal boarding or daycare situation for your small dog. I don’t accept dogs over 40 lbs and I carefully screen all dogs for proper temperament. Any dog on the larger side that I accept must be calm and extremely good at interacting with the little ones. My priority is to ensure a safe environment for small dogs, and reduce the risk of injury. When I do have dogs of different sizes together I carefully supervise interactions and leash or separate larger dogs from smaller ones if needed. I provide a fenced yard, daily walks (if desired) and frequent potty breaks. At night I offer a number of different sleeping options depending on your dog’s size and temperament. They might sleep in a crate in the bedroom with us, in a soft sided crate on our bed, in an exercise pen, or loose in the living room where they'll have comfy couches and beds available. Some dogs I allow to be loose in the bed with us but it depends on the dog. I do not by default require dogs to be crated, and if you prefer your dog not be crated they can usually have a crate-free experience at my house. In this case, I only use a crate or exercise pen as a last resort if your dog displays destructive behaviors that cannot be managed. I am very safety oriented and I will ensure your dog is never left alone unsupervised with my dogs, or dogs from other households. I also ensure all dogs are secured when doors to the outside are being opened to prevent escape artists. I always check the vaccination status (including bordatella) of all potential dogs who stay with me. If your dog experiences a veterinary emergency, I can take them to Wilvet South at 444 B Street in Springfield. I do everything I can to make sure your pet has a stress-free, comfortable stay with me.

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life, growing up with breeds of all sizes, energy levels, and personalities. From an energetic German Shorthaired Pointer who needed structure and consistency, to a retired, injured Rottweiler who required gentle care, patience, and awareness of physical limitations, I’ve learned how different every dog’s needs can be. I’ve also cared for a small but strong-willed Schnauzer who was loyal and protective, as well as a large, laid-back Sheepadoodle who loved affection and slow days. These dogs are family to me and through my 22 years of loving them I have become the ultimate dog lover. Beyond my own dogs, I’ve regularly watched friends’ and family members’ pets, giving me experience adapting to new routines, homes, and temperaments. I’m comfortable leash walking, reinforcing basic training, and maintaining boundaries while still making dogs feel safe and spoiled. I’ve helped raise and train my dogs from puppyhood, focusing on consistency, calm correction, and positive reinforcement. What sets me apart is my ability to balance genuine love for animals with attentiveness and responsibility. I don’t just enjoy being around dogs—I understand them, respect their differences, and make sure they’re cared for in a way that works best for them. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m currently a part-time student and not working another job, which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to focus fully on your pet’s needs. While my home away from home is unfortunately without my own dog, it makes me even more excited to welcome and care for dogs here. In my home, pets have access to a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor time, play, and bathroom breaks, along with plenty of indoor space to relax. I supervise outdoor time and make sure pets are always safe and comfortable.In a client’s home, I follow their established routines closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any training or care instructions.
