“My first time using a dogwalker and it was great. Things went smooth on both ends. Bella is informative, sweet and seems to have lots of patience with dogs with lots of energy. Thank you for helping me out! An hour of Me Time was very much appreciated!”

“Lily absolutely loves her walks with Hayden. It’s been so good for her to get these morning walks to get the zoomies out. As a work from home person, it has really changed my ability to work without distraction. Really grateful for Hayden.”

“Erin was great. We hired her for one hour walks while we were gone. She arrived promptly on time for Ziggy’s walks and sent photos and commentary on how he was doing. I would definitely have her care for Ziggy again. Thank you Erin!”
“Maddie was super flexible and took my dog, sage on a very long walk. I could tell sage was comfortable with Maddie and she got a lot of energy out on their walk. Maddie arrived on time and was prepared, would book again in the future!”

“Amazing, fit, easy going, capable, reliable, on time. Lisa accommodated me on very short notice wlkg Hoot & Holler. I cant handle them on my own so Lisa helped me in getting some of their energy out. We wlkd just in the neighborhood and everything was great. Lisa is very easy to chat with, a real down to earth gal! I highly recommend. I wish I had found her before we were moving bk to WA!!!!”

“Quick response. Met with us and the dogs the following day. Came in when expected. Dogs were walked and happy when we came home. We got pics and a description of their walk. Recommend 100%!”
“Robert was a joy to work with! He was very kind and attentive to everything, setting up a meet and greet prior and giving the walk a small test, while listening to my lengthy info about my pup 😂 He also sent descriptive updates with pictures! I will definitely be rebooking Robert in the future. Thank you, Robert!”

“Josh was Incredible! My dog, Ziggy, is a bit apprehensive meeting new people and especially welcoming people into our home. Josh listened to my requests for their first meeting and had such good vibes and body language that it was a mere matter of minutes before Ziggy was literally eating out of his hands and Ziggy had no problem with Josh following us upstairs and hanging out inside. I didn't doubt for a second that Josh could handle Ziggy's antics and his strength on the leash. Josh sent daily updates and pictures of Ziggy out on walks and snuggling with him on the couch. I had a friend checking in on my kitty but Josh noticed that she (the cat) had thrown up in the spare room and not only let me know about it, and kept an eye on her mood/behaviors but even took it upon himself to clean up the mess! I was blown away. Ziggy had a great time and I will definitely book Josh for future pet care. Thank you so much, Josh!”

“Karina did a great job walking Pongo. She's a natural with dogs. You could tell by how excited Pongo was when she arrived. Karina asked great questions in our initial interview. I was impressed by her thorough preparation and queries as to Pongo's habits and preferences. She'll be great with your pet too!”

About: As a long time pet lover, I began caring for dogs in my neighborhood and volunteering at the local animal shelter at the age of 12. I went on to work for a local petsitting company as a house sitter and dog walker while I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I am a skilled dog trainer currently offering training services in the Eugene/Springfield area. My dog training career started when I completed an internship with a local dog trainer in high school and since then I have continued to expand my knowledge of dog behavior through training experience, research, interviews with trainers, and online courses. I utilize gentle training techniques that reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in dogs and promote relaxation and confidence. I never engage in harsh training methods such as prong collars, shock collars, dominance, or physical force; my techniques are based only on positive reinforcement and trust. I specialize in training dogs with separation anxiety so if your dog suffers from this, they will be in good hands and they will never be left alone for long periods. Before joining Rover, I was already providing dog boarding and daycare to my existing training clients. I have experience with a variety of senior dogs and I am able to administer any medications your dog requires. I also offer daily teeth brushing if this is part of your dog's routine. You can rest assured that whatever your pet's needs are, they will be met while they are under my care. I am also an independently insured petsitter with Pet Care Insurance which covers accidents or injuries and provides that extra peace of mind. I am out of town March 4-16. I will still be accepting bookings for March 17th onwards however I will be unable to do an in person meet and greet until March 17th. Petsitting and dog training is my full-time job and my husband works from home, so there is usually always someone home with the dogs. I provide walks, drop-ins, boarding and daycare 7-days a week and your dog’s health and happiness is my sole responsibility allowing me to be attentive to your dog's needs throughout the day. My home is an ideal boarding or daycare situation for your small dog. I don’t accept dogs over 40 lbs and I carefully screen all dogs for proper temperament. Any dog on the larger side that I accept must be calm and extremely good at interacting with the little ones. My priority is to ensure a safe environment for small dogs, and reduce the risk of injury. When I do have dogs of different sizes together I carefully supervise interactions and leash or separate larger dogs from smaller ones if needed. I provide a fenced yard, daily walks (if desired) and frequent potty breaks. At night I offer a number of different sleeping options depending on your dog’s size and temperament. They might sleep in a crate in the bedroom with us, in a soft sided crate on our bed, in an exercise pen, or loose in the living room where they'll have comfy couches and beds available. Some dogs I allow to be loose in the bed with us but it depends on the dog. I do not by default require dogs to be crated, and if you prefer your dog not be crated they can usually have a crate-free experience at my house. In this case, I only use a crate or exercise pen as a last resort if your dog displays destructive behaviors that cannot be managed. I am very safety oriented and I will ensure your dog is never left alone unsupervised with my dogs, or dogs from other households. I also ensure all dogs are secured when doors to the outside are being opened to prevent escape artists. I always check the vaccination status (including bordatella) of all potential dogs who stay with me. If your dog experiences a veterinary emergency, I can take them to Wilvet South at 444 B Street in Springfield. I do everything I can to make sure your pet has a stress-free, comfortable stay with me.
“Cole is awesome with our dog—whether in our neighborhood or out on the trails. He understands dogs really well, is responsible and prompt, and sends good updates. Would highly recommend him for walking and taking great care of your dog.”

About: For nine years, my friends or family have trusted me to take care of their furry (or scaly) friends when they're away. I have experience working at a doggy daycare with a wide range of dogs (and cats), as well as experience working with elderly and disabled dogs, as well as cats who prefer their space. I am a full-time student, but my hours are very flexible! I don't start classes until September 30, so I will be around nearly 24/7 for your pets! I am highly flexible with addressing your pet's unique social and exercise needs. I am open to taking them to a dog park, taking them on a hike, or whatever activity they enjoy. No worries if your pup is sensitive to other dogs/ children/ cats- I want them to be as comfortable as possible!
About: As an experienced pet lover and caregiver, I've had the joy of caring for a wide variety of pets, including cats, birds, fish, and reptiles. With years of hands-on experience in pet care, from walking dogs and house-sitting to babysitting animals, I'm comfortable providing drop-in visits and personalized care for your furry (or scaly!) friends. I’ve also gained valuable animal research skills while earning my Master’s in Biology, ensuring your pets are in safe and knowledgeable hands. Whether it's a casual walk or specialized attention, I’m here to make sure your pets are happy and well cared for. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine as I’m currently taking a gap period from my biology career. During this time, I'm excited to focus on my passion for animals and give them the love and attention they deserve. Caring for pets allows me to stay connected to my interest in animal biology while offering flexible, fulfilling work. I love incorporating pet walks, check-ins, and caregiving into my week, providing dedicated time to ensure each animal is happy and healthy. This account is jointly worked by both myself and my roommate, Brandon. This allows for a wide availability both throughout the week and throughout the day. Brandon shares a passion for animals and has also received his Master's in Biology. Similarly, he currently works as a dog handler. For walks, he will be the one working with you! When caring for pets in my home, I ensure they have a calm, quiet environment since I live in an apartment with no other pets. There's also a yard for safe outdoor time, perfect for supervised play and relaxation. In clients' homes, I follow their specific routines and preferences to make sure their pets feel comfortable and secure. Whether it’s administering medication, providing walks, or giving them attention, I tailor my care to meet each pet’s individual needs.
“When we lost our dog sitter I was devastated and nervous we wouldn't find another great fit. However, we feel so lucky to have found Sarah! She is so carrying, understanding, and just amazing with our high energy 1 year old dog. She truly understands that dogs come with their own unique quirks and does a great job at letting our boy know whose the boss. She listens to what your training goals are and helps you achieve it through consistency. Thank you so much Sarah!!!!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life, growing up with breeds of all sizes, energy levels, and personalities. From an energetic German Shorthaired Pointer who needed structure and consistency, to a retired, injured Rottweiler who required gentle care, patience, and awareness of physical limitations, I’ve learned how different every dog’s needs can be. I’ve also cared for a small but strong-willed Schnauzer who was loyal and protective, as well as a large, laid-back Sheepadoodle who loved affection and slow days. These dogs are family to me and through my 22 years of loving them I have become the ultimate dog lover. Beyond my own dogs, I’ve regularly watched friends’ and family members’ pets, giving me experience adapting to new routines, homes, and temperaments. I’m comfortable leash walking, reinforcing basic training, and maintaining boundaries while still making dogs feel safe and spoiled. I’ve helped raise and train my dogs from puppyhood, focusing on consistency, calm correction, and positive reinforcement. What sets me apart is my ability to balance genuine love for animals with attentiveness and responsibility. I don’t just enjoy being around dogs—I understand them, respect their differences, and make sure they’re cared for in a way that works best for them. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m currently a part-time student and not working another job, which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to focus fully on your pet’s needs. My schedule allows me to plan my day around walks, feedings, playtime, and any specific routines your pet is used to, rather than squeezing them in between commitments. While my home away from home is unfortunately without my own dog, it makes me even more excited to welcome and care for dogs here. In my home, pets have access to a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor time, play, and bathroom breaks, along with plenty of indoor space to relax. I supervise outdoor time and make sure pets are always safe and comfortable. In a client’s home, I follow their established routines closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any training or care instructions. I prioritize keeping pets comfortable in their own environment.
South Eugene High School dog parents share their Rover experiences
Karina did a great job walking Pongo. She's a natural with dogs. You could tell by how excited Pongo was when she arrived. Karina asked great questions in our initial interview. I was impressed by her thorough preparation and queries as to Pongo's habits and preferences. She'll be great with your pet too!

Alexis is a fantastic walker and dog sitter. She has walked my dog for the last two years. I have a 50lbs deaf dog. So she needs a little more attention. Alexis has always been amazing with her, and I can tell Stormy absolutely adores her! I highly recommend Alexis!
I highly recommend Nathan for challenging pups! He has been walking my 1.5-yr-old rescue for several weeks now, and I can tell Cappy has a fantastic time with him. Cappy is a LOT to handle and can be a bit overwhelming to meet, but Evan has taken extra time with Cappy to work on heeling and calming down. Bonus: Evan also sends great pictures during every walk. We are super lucky to have him helping us out!

Yazan took the time to meet & greet our pup to be sure it was a good fit. Our pup can be a little shy & anxious about new situations and Yazan took the time to let Floki warm up to him at his own pace before putting him on lead and taking him out for the walk. Yazan is very conscientious, prompt, and great at communicating with us sending pics of the walk and a thoroughly telling us relevant care info. Looking forward to having him help us in the future.
