About: Besides caring for dogs, I've had 10 years of experience handling and caring for horses. Even though horses aren't dogs, they act quite similar to dogs, and that's what I've grown to love about taking care of dogs and horses. At home I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback, so I'm well versed in taking care of bigger dogs, but no dog will ever be too small! I've had my dog since she was a puppy to her being nine years old, so I've had my fair share of puppy years to "teen" years to more older, senior citizen years and have loved and took care of her during all aspects. Since I'm on summer break from college, I'll have tons of free time to take care of your pet. Looking to have a part-time job as well as pet care, but will continue to prioritize and take excellent care of your pets. Will have time to do daily check-ins as well as evening routines, and if needed stay the night to keep your pup company. About: As a long time pet lover, I began caring for dogs in my neighborhood and volunteering at the local animal shelter at the age of 12. I went on to work for a local petsitting company as a house sitter and dog walker while I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I am a skilled dog trainer currently offering training services in the Eugene/Springfield area. My dog training career started when I completed an internship with a local dog trainer in high school and since then I have continued to expand my knowledge of dog behavior through training experience, research, interviews with trainers, and online courses. I utilize gentle training techniques that reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in dogs and promote relaxation and confidence. I never engage in harsh training methods such as prong collars, shock collars, dominance, or physical force; my techniques are based only on positive reinforcement and trust. I specialize in training dogs with separation anxiety so if your dog suffers from this, they will be in good hands and they will never be left alone for long periods. Before joining Rover, I was already providing dog boarding and daycare to my existing training clients. I have experience with a variety of senior dogs and I am able to administer any medications your dog requires. I also offer daily teeth brushing if this is part of your dog's routine. You can rest assured that whatever your pet's needs are, they will be met while they are under my care. I am also an independently insured petsitter with Pet Care Insurance which covers accidents or injuries and provides that extra peace of mind. Petsitting and dog training is my full-time job and my husband works from home, so there is usually always someone home with the dogs. I provide walks, drop-ins, boarding and daycare 7-days a week and your dog’s health and happiness is my sole responsibility allowing me to be attentive to your dog's needs throughout the day. My home is an ideal boarding or daycare situation for your small dog. I don’t accept dogs over 40 lbs and I carefully screen all dogs for proper temperament. Any dog on the larger side that I accept must be calm and extremely good at interacting with the little ones. My priority is to ensure a safe environment for small dogs, and reduce the risk of injury. When I do have dogs of different sizes together I carefully supervise interactions and leash or separate larger dogs from smaller ones if needed. I provide a fenced yard, daily walks (if desired) and frequent potty breaks. At night I offer a number of different sleeping options depending on your dog’s size and temperament. They might sleep in a crate in the bedroom with us, in a soft sided crate on our bed, in an exercise pen, or loose in the living room where they'll have comfy couches and beds available. Some dogs I allow to be loose in the bed with us but it depends on the dog. I do not by default require dogs to be crated, and if you prefer your dog not be crated they can usually have a crate-free experience at my house. In this case, I only use a crate or exercise pen as a last resort if your dog displays destructive behaviors that cannot be managed. I am very safety oriented and I will ensure your dog is never left alone unsupervised with my dogs, or dogs from other households. I also ensure all dogs are secured when doors to the outside are being opened to prevent escape artists. I always check the vaccination status (including bordatella) of all potential dogs who stay with me. If your dog experiences a veterinary emergency, I can take them to Wilvet South at 444 B Street in Springfield. I do everything I can to make sure your pet has a stress-free, comfortable stay with me.

About: I have always been an animal lover. During any friend or family get together you will 100% find me visiting more with the pets than the people. Throughout my life I have owned or cared for mice, cats, dogs, rabbits, and most recently guinea pigs. For the last 5 years I have been a devoted guinea pig mommy, and aunty to many of my friends sweet dog and cat fur babies. It would bring me great joy to provide you peace of mind about your pet being safe and taken care of, whether you are away on vacation or just gone to work for the day. I have a very flexible schedule with availability any day of the week at a variety of times. I am a former Elementary Teacher of over 20 years who is looking for another passion to fill both my time and my heart. I intend to carefully follow any directions provided to give your pet and yourself a positive experience. I have excellent organizational skills and am attentive to details of the environment around me as well as the pets behavior and needs.

About: For nine years, my friends or family have trusted me to take care of their furry (or scaly) friends when they're away. I have experience working at a doggy daycare with a wide range of dogs (and cats), as well as experience working with elderly and disabled dogs, as well as cats who prefer their space. I am a full-time student, but my hours are very flexible! I don't start classes until September 30, so I will be around nearly 24/7 for your pets! I am highly flexible with addressing your pet's unique social and exercise needs. I am open to taking them to a dog park, taking them on a hike, or whatever activity they enjoy. No worries if your pup is sensitive to other dogs/ children/ cats- I want them to be as comfortable as possible!

About: I grew up having many animals and have had cats and dogs my entire life. I love talking care of animals as well as going on walks! I am near the UO campus so that would be my preferred location. I am a college student so my schedule changes daily. I am mainly available any time besides 11am-3pm and I am open whenever on the weekends. I am not planning on housing pets in my house because I have a cat who does not get along will with other people's pets.

From an energetic German Shorthaired Pointer who needed structure and consistency, to a retired, injured Rottweiler who required gentle care, patience, and awareness of physical limitations, I’ve learned how different every dog’s needs can be. What sets me apart is my ability to balance genuine love for animals with attentiveness and responsibility. I’m currently a part-time student and not working another job, which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to focus fully on your pet’s needs. My schedule allows me to plan my day around walks, feedings, playtime, and any specific routines your pet is used to, rather than squeezing them in between commitments. While my home away from home is unfortunately without my own dog, it makes me even more excited to welcome and care for dogs here. In my home, pets have access to a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor time, play, and bathroom breaks, along with plenty of indoor space to relax. I supervise outdoor time and make sure pets are always safe and comfortable.In a client’s home, I follow their established routines closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any training or care instructions. I prioritize keeping pets comfortable in their own environment.

About: I have had dogs my whole life, i currently have 3 right now. 1 golden doodle and 2 toy poodles. I have been around and taken care all sorts of dogs and I love every single one of them. I walk, feed, play, etc with dogs when i am taking care of them. I am 19 years old and I currently attend the University of Oregon as a Sophomore studying business. I miss my babies back home so I decided to offer dog walking services over weekends and some weekdays while I am in Eugene. I love dogs and I love walking so this is perfect for me. I have a fenced back yard, and a 2 story house so if your dogs do not like to be around other dogs I can easily keep mine separated from yours at all times. I will walk, feed, and play with the pets to keep them as comfortable and as happy as possible.

Josh listened to my requests for their first meeting and had such good vibes and body language that it was a mere matter of minutes before Ziggy was literally eating out of his hands and Ziggy had no problem with Josh following us upstairs and hanging out inside. About: Hi, my name is Piper and I am a recent UO grad! I absolutely adore animals of any kind and would love to spoil your pet. I’ve had cats since I was young, and at that time started a dog walking business of my own. At 12 years old, I was walking dogs anywhere from Chihuahuas to Rottweilers (true story!) I recently adopted my kitty, Birdie, and she is the light of my life. She has brought me so much love, laughter, and pure joy into my life and is absolutely spoiled rotten (and I wouldn’t have it any other way)! I have years of experience with all kinds of pets, between in-home stays, walks during the day, or hours of playtime. I’ve watched low-maintenance and high-maintenance animals alike, including special feeding regimens and administering medicine.
