About: I have had pets my whole life- I grew up with cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, and even llamas! I understand that all pets have different needs. I can be there for you when you can't, and will make sure your pet is cared for like my own. I love dogs and other pets too! I currently have 2 cats and want to make all cats my friend (even though they have their own thoughts on this!). I had a Frenchie for 10 amazing years, and grew up with Labs. I have a flexible schedule and am available most times. I can be available for pet routines or drop in visit, morning, mid day or afternoon/evening. I can come to you- in home visits, or dog walking. I am central to Eugene and have a reliable car for visits. I can visit mornings or afternoons.

About: I’ve had pets all my life and have worked as a nutritionist at a holistic pet store for close to 4 years. I love animals and I love interacting with them! I currently work a part time job that only gives me 20-25 hours a week. Other than that I am completely available, as long as it fits into my current schedule. I cannot take animals into my own apartment, but I am more than happy to care for animals in their own home. I am well experienced in keeping a close eye on animals and love communicating with owners about their pets wellbeing.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a kid. I have two dogs at home and i’ve been dog sitting/house sitting for about 4 years! I also worked at a doggy daycare for 2 years. I’m currently a full time student at the University of Oregon, but I never have class for more than 3 hours a day. I can take out dogs every few hours at home or have plenty of time during the day for a walk or play time! I can easily crate your dog if needed and can adjust to different walking and meal plans. I also have experience in giving dogs medicine or handling young puppies.

About: Hello I’m Griffin, I moved to Eugene last September to accept a job with a local nonprofit. I absolutely love dogs, to the point where my entire social media algorithm just presents me with puppy videos (all dogs are puppies to me.) I grew up with dogs, specifically Labradors, Cairn terriers and a Yorkie. When I was in Peace Corps in Ukraine, I had adopted a street dog and named him Dantinos. Sadly due to pandemic I was unable to bring my buddy back. There’s a big dog shaped hole in my heart. So, I decided to give this a try. My nonprofit job, while rewarding and interesting, isn’t cutting it for the cost of living today. I work full time but have remote work flexibility and live within a few minutes walking distance from my place of work- so whether it’s boarding or drop-ins, or walks, there’s a great opportunity to make it work. I would love to meet and pet and give your puppy some scratches if you’ll have me. I’ve got 35 years experience because I’ve grown with dogs all my life; and while I am not able to care for my own right now, taking a stroll with your puppy might be a win win win situation. I work full time, but have remote work flexibility and given a day or two in advance could likely block off some time to visit or walk a pet. Especially after lunch, when scheduled meetings are less frequent. When it comes to boarding- my work is literally a 5-8 min walk from my apartment- so even if I need to be in the office, coming back for potty breaks are not a problem. Fridays are generally half days, giving a little more flexibility I care for dogs by giving them love and affection when they want it. I’ve got a weakness for giving a dog treats with those pleading eyes, but I promise that I would never feed another persons dog anything not allowed, and certainly know to avoid over feeding. Eugene is a beautiful place and I think it would be a pleasure to take a stroll with your dog.

About: I have trained my own dog to be a good citizen canine as well as a service animal. So I have experience teaching dogs to sit, stay, leave it lay down, as well as other commands. And hope to be able to use this training to help with your dog or puppy. Ever since I was young I've had a real affinity for animals and they're really drawn to my sweet and caring nature. I can be a bit shy at first but you won't regret giving me a chance to help your pets out. Right now my schedule's pretty open any day of the week as long as I can get to address have a driver license,I look forward to getting to know more dogs and spend time playing with them. I'm not currently working so I have as much time in the world to spend with your dog and to make sure it gets its daily exercise and other basic needs. I have unfenced yard , will always take precautions and have leash on a dog when taking it for potty breaks I do have a dog of my own he is a service dog for a living but I can always kennel his to keep your dog safe or put him in my bedroom.

About: I have taken care of many kinds of pets since I was a child. I’ve tended to animals of all ages from seniors all the way to newborns. I worked in a dairy goat farm for around 4 years. Most of my work involved feeding, administering treatments, grooming, and general care for the dogs and goats on the farm. I also worked in zoos, where I cared for a wide array of species. Some of my favorites included penguins, sea lions, and giant tortoises. (Although I’m assuming that the average Rover member will not be requiring penguin care… I am prepared!) I love all animals, and understand the importance that pets have in a person’s life. I am committed to giving your pet the best care possible and am so excited to meet your animals!! I am currently a full time student but have a flexible schedule and am able to find times during the weekdays to pet sit. I will be fully available on the weekends and am happy to find a time that works for everyone! I live in an apartment with 2 others where we have 4 rooms altogether that your pet will be able to access. There is no yard but the surrounding area is easily walkable and I will be happy to take your pet on as many walks/give them as much outside time as needed. I have no problem with pets on the furniture, but am willing to abide by whatever rules, schedules, or boundaries that you have set for your animals. If your pet is being boarded at my home over a weekday there is the possibility that I will not be home the entire day, however my roommates are avid animal lovers and one person will usually always be home while the other is away.

About: I've been cat-sitting for family friends and neighbors since I was around 7 or 8 and am very comfortable working with them. I've had cats in my house with me since I was born. I've also been around a lot of different kinds (and personalities!) of dogs since I was little--a lot of my friends and family have dogs and I love walking and playing with them. I'm a UO student looking for fun ways to make a little bit of money and meet some new furry friends. I have lots of time in between classes for walks, drop ins, and I ALWAYS have time for dog cuddles! I work and play with pets differently depending on how comfortable they are with me--I will play with more excitable dogs and cats in a more high energy way than with pets who are more calm, and I will not force a pet to play or interact with me if they feel threatened (as some more skittish dogs and cats might). Above all I will always make sure that the pets are safe and that their comfort is prioritized over my desire to play with them.

“Josh was Incredible! My dog, Ziggy, is a bit apprehensive meeting new people and especially welcoming people into our home. Josh listened to my requests for their first meeting and had such good vibes and body language that it was a mere matter of minutes before Ziggy was literally eating out of his hands and Ziggy had no problem with Josh following us upstairs and hanging out inside. I didn't doubt for a second that Josh could handle Ziggy's antics and his strength on the leash. Josh sent daily updates and pictures of Ziggy out on walks and snuggling with him on the couch. I had a friend checking in on my kitty but Josh noticed that she (the cat) had thrown up in the spare room and not only let me know about it, and kept an eye on her mood/behaviors but even took it upon himself to clean up the mess! I was blown away. Ziggy had a great time and I will definitely book Josh for future pet care. Thank you so much, Josh!”
