“Kaylah was fantastic and so flexible with our changing needs. I really felt like she cared about doing what was best for the dogs, not just checking off a task. She really went above and beyond and I would definitely recommend her!”

“Another great experience with Kristi looking after our cat Cadbury for 10 days. Kristi has been our go to sitter and is friendly and trustworthy and will take good care of your pets.”

“Kory is so great. She was able to pop in last minute when I needed some help unexpectedly. She is so great with the dogs and sends pictures of their walks/play time. I’ve used her several times and will continue to have her over.”

About: I'm excited to help get your dog the exercise and attention it needs, or to stop by and check-in and feed any of your fur babies when you need a hand! I'm primarily interested in walking Mondays and Wednesdays, but may occasionally available on other weekdays as well. Mornings work great for me, but am open to other times. Because life is a bit unpredictable at the moment I'm not currently available for longer term weekly walks (but I'd love to fill in when you need someone!). I'm not currently offering in-home care, our lovely kitty doesn't like other guests - so dog walking will be the extent of services that I'm able to provide.
“This is my first time having Layne check in on my pet and she was great! She came and met him before and was nothing short of excellent for check-ins. My pet has specific needs and she was able to meet them with no issues. I would highly recommend Layne!!”

About: I have had dog companions since childhood, and love everything about them. My own Jack-Chi is 16.5 years young, and still going strong. I have 15 years of dog rescue experience in a large city (Los Angeles) and worked with the shelter and rescue organizations there. I helped found Animal Rescue Corps in 2011. I have experience with all sorts of temperaments, ages and breeds. I just love dogs and understand how important their care is. I love walking them and playing with them in the yard, and I'm also very responsible with medical needs. Do you have an older dog or one with compromised health issues? I am experienced with these kinds of dogs. My own needed medication for their entire lives, and don't have the temperaments that could deal with regular boarding. I'm happy to cater to their needs. I'm currently semi-retired and the work I do is mostly on-line, so I'm home nearly all the time. I'm also happy to take dogs overnight or go to the client's home and walk them or let them out, feed them or administer medication. I have a fenced yard for play, great walking trails nearby, and a calm home where dogs can settle in easily. They’re welcome on the furniture and the bed — I keep things relaxed and comfortable so they feel like part of the household. I usually host only one dog at a time (or one family), which allows me to stay fully present with their routines, comfort, and emotional needs. My boarding rate reflects this level of individualized care and the calm, structured environment I maintain so dogs can settle in easily and feel secure while you’re away.
“I highly recommend Emily, she was great with our pit bull puppy Pearl! Pearl seemed happy and well taken care of. Emily is obviously not only a dog person, but an animal person; our two people shy cats even came out to see her. She will definitely be back to take care of Pearl.”

“This is our first time hiring Crystal. Feeding our cats is kind of crazy/complicated. However Crystal did a great job with that and everything else. Sent texts and pics each day. We will definitely hire her in the future.”

“Meghan was wonderful. We needed someone to check in on our cat while we were away for our wedding and honeymoon, which is the longest we’ve been away from him. It was so reassuring to get daily updates and photos and Meghan went out of her way to water the plants and check the mail for us, even bringing in a few large packages that arrived at our door. We would definitely recommend her for your pet-sitting needs. Thank you, Meghan!”

“Niamh was TERRIFIC! She came over before I left to have me show her around and let her know where things are and I instantly felt at ease. She is professional and so very caring about pets in her charge. She sent over a daily picture and comments about what was done while I was out of town and I was so appreciative. it's such a relief to have found a pet sitter who is so considerate, professional and who takes the time to learn how she can best support our fur babes!”

“Sara is a total pro. A testament to Rover. We could tell she loves animals and takes this seriously. Great communication, flexibility, and follow-through. Our puppy was searching the house for her last night!”

“Aaron did a marvelous job caring for our little cat! We are so thankful for him helping us while we were out of town. Aaron was very caring and thorough and did everything we asked for our little guy. We received a summary of their time together for each visit and soo many sweet pictures of our kitty! I highly recommend contacting Aaron for all your pet needs. We will absolutely be booking with him again. Thank you Aaron <3”

About: I’ve grown up around a lot of dogs, big and small, so I’m pretty familiar with the temperament, aggressive affection and redirection strategies to help reduce behaviors. As a Boise School District employee, I may be away for up to 8 hours (7-3) while school is in session. Weekends are best for house-sitting or longer visits, and weekday drop-ins are still available before/after work. I’m happy to discuss schedules to make sure your pets get the care they need while you’re away! Sadly, my home isn’t quite spacious enough for another furry friend to romp around, so I’ll come to you! I have experience with many different breeds and personalities, and I always focus on keeping your pet safe, comfortable, and happy. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or quiet company, your pup will be cared for like they’re my own.
About: I grew up with labs and was mom to my border collie until a few years ago. I miss him a lot and enjoy being around pets as I currently don't have a lifestyle conducive for pet ownership. I have house/pet sit for friends and clients over the years and am doing more of it as I have a more flexible schedule. I had chickens and miss those characters! I am retired and my schedule is very flexible, depending on your pet's needs. Starting May 22 I will primarily be looking for house sitting opportunities. I grew up with dogs and was a border collie mom until he died a few years ago. I really enjoy being around pets and am currently not in a position to have pets as I want the flexibility to travel more. I have owned two homes and was a landlord. I am a very neat, tidy, organized, reliable, and dependable person. I will treat your home and pets as I would my own. I look forward to helping you with whatever you need while you are away from home. I pay attention to details and will follow the desired schedule, instructions, and medicine administration (if needed).
Southeast Boise pet parents share their Rover experiences
Christen was amazing with our German Shepherd! We were worried that our dog might not behave, but Christen knew exactly what to do to keep her engaged and focused. She was patient, confident, and clearly experienced. We felt completely at ease knowing Junie was in such capable hands. Highly recommend!

Brooke was so amazing with our new puppy Bruce!!!! She made me feel confident leaving our 10 week old in her care while I had a busy school schedule and was out of the house. She is super responsive and sends updates which soothed any anxiety I had being away from the pup. Thank you Brooke!
Elizabeth did a superior job coming over daily to feed and provide company for my kitty. She is an excellent communicator, followed my instructions "to the letter," sent photos and updates, and socialized with the cat every day. Elizabeth will do a great job for you. She did for me!!
Sophia was amazing and exactly what we needed during our vacation. She was so great sending updates and pictures, spending time playing and walking Kona and giving her great 1on1 time throughout the day. We will hire her every time we are out of town, it was perfect!

We went on vacation for 3 weeks and Breyona did a great job taking care of our cat. We appreciated how she kept us informed while we were away and sent pictures of our cat. It made our trip better knowing our cat was well taken care of and we could rely on her while we were away.
